• Emctl missing file after the installation of database 12 c

  Dear all,

  I installed 12 c (12.1.0.2) database in windows server 64-bit.

  Installation completed successfully, I double-check the url em and the connection with the user of the system.

  After restarting the server, started the database and listener but we are unable to find the emctl cmd in oracle_HOme

  Please suggest me some ideas.

  Note: I installed three lacked database of 12 c in all the emctl 3 database.

  I solved the problem with the solutions below.

  How can I connect EM express?

  EM Express can be accessed thorugh the URL to https://:default.

  A login page is displayed and the user can connect with any credential valid DB.

  or use the following query when you are connected to the CBD or PDB for generating the URL:

  I installed Oracle 12.1.0.1 for Windows 64. Database and the work of the MS Express. Next i tried to install the cloud EM 12.1.0.1 control, but there are errors during the installation process on the repository. EM 12.1.0.1 not does support Oracle Database 12.1.0.1?

  Hi Eli,

  Monitoring is done by plugins (on the side of the agent). You can download in EM Cloud Control, (if the server can connect to Oracle if not you can use the method in offline mode) and deploy the necessary plugin (plugin 12.1.0.4 database) to the agent.

  On the virtual machine: I think it's a race (so compleet) VM, meaning that it is a CMS and a repository. You could add targets yourself. This can be one on another virtual machine, but it is to you what you want to do.

• Confuse the installation of database 11 g more

  Hi all

  I intend to install Database to practice the PSU July so, what version I should install 11g? Here I can see the Group of hotfixes for 11.2.0.2 and 11.2.0.3, but in the oracle site, I see the database for 11.2.0.1 software .my question is

  (1) I need to install 11.2.0.1 and apply the Group of hotfixes?

  (2) If, then I don't find 11.2.0.1 group of hotfixes so I have to do?

  Please someone help me on this?

  From 11.2.0.2, patchsets are installs complete, so you can install 11.2.0.2, 11.2.0.3 etc. directly.

  Please publish "ps - ef | grep-i tnslsnr"and to kill the process manually and then check.

  If you still get the "Linux error: 111: Connection refused" error, please see (from 10 g 2 TNS Listener gives TNS-12541, Linux error: 111: connection refused [343295.1 ID]).

  I just installed the professional P6 standalone version, thinking that it will be simple :) but have the following questions
  
  I use the 32-bit version of Windows 7
  
  It seems that the Oracle10g XE Db is fine but when I try to start professional P6 I'm having problems connecting to the Db
  
  Can some pls advise what I should use the following headings to display, I have listed each dialog screen as they apprear
  
  1 p6 logon dialog box
  
  can I use my logon Id or session ID "admin"?
  I guess that I use the same password that I used to create the Oracle Db as part of the installation?
  
  2. application to configure connection dialog box
  I chose Yes
  
  2 dialog box of Configuration database "select or create aliases.
  I chose the PMDB as an alias and Oracle as the driver type
  
  3 configure the Oracle login dialog box
  Please indicate what should be used here for the Oracle connection string?
  
  4. enter in the Connect dialog box public inforamtion
  Please let know us what I need for the following entries here

  I am sure that the R8 does not support a true stand-alone installation. You can however download and install version 7 in standalone mode.

• Help with the Universal Installer - installation of database for ODBC gateway

  I'm trying to install the database to ODBC bridge according to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/gateways.111/b31043/installodbc.htm#BHCCCJJJ
  
  My problem is that the installation program seems trying to install another data base oracle from scratch and I don't get the options above documentation suggests.
  
  This is a Windows 2003 R2 Standard Edition 11.1.0.7.0 server is a production system, so I can't screw it up :-)
  
  I'm probably doing something stupid - I'm a developer and not really a DBA.

  Are you sure that you downloaded the correct software? From the download page:

  Oracle Database gateways 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.6.0)
  for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
  win32_11gR1_gateways.zip (479,045,812 bytes)

  But - there should be no need to install DG4ODBC, he is already part of the installation of the database server. At least this is the case for Enterprise Edition, I'm not sure about Standard Edition. In a simply command window issue
  "dg4odbc", if you see something like the following, you already have the ODBC gateway:

  I try to install Oracle Apps R12 instance on my machine (Linux 64 bit OS). When you try to install using rapidwiz (downloaded the e-delivery site), it starts installation but after awhile, it prompts for the location application quick setup-databases Oracle disk4.
  
  I searched this file in all the folders on 5 (startCD), oraDB, Orleans, oraApps, oraAppDB, but it did not. I wish there was a way to display a screenshot.
  
  Can someone help me with this problem.

  It could be Disk4 and/or other discs, so running md5sum should be useful to verify the integrity of the domain directory any scene.

  I HAV checked the $COMMON_TOP/admin, but there's no scripts folder

  Sorry its my error, we must look at $INST_TOP (I've already updated my previous post) in r12 associated scripts in $ path INST_TOP/admin/scripts.

  As I mention above I am able to start the instance as user applmgr but not able to stop like applmgr but it is possible only as a root user

  When I try to stop it as appsuser I get the following error

• Unable to choose Personal Edition in the installer of database 12 c on Windows

  My organization is the purchase of some Personal Edition Oracle 12 c licenses. I tried to ensure that we are able to install the software correctly on a laptop.

  I downloaded installers SE both EE to oracle.com. However when I run the Setup, it I cannot select Personal Edition, only Standard Edition Server or Enterprise Edition according to the installation program. Personal Edition is visible, but grayed out and cannot be selected.

  I can't find any information as to why this may be the case. I found suggestions that Personal Edition has a feature compatibility with Enterprise Edition (with the exception of the CARS) but because Personal Edition appears as an option, I guess I shouldn't just install EA.

  I would be grateful for any advice on this issue.

  The name of the service is the SID of the database.

  Assuming that you can connect to the db here are a few suggestions on how to find the SID How to get the SID (instance name) without SYS DBA?

  Hi, diattou, another alternative is to operate the accelerator of persistence A-team (AMPA) - latest version here: http://www.ateam-oracle.com/a-team-mobile-persistence-accelerator-release-12-1-3-2-now-available/.  You can consume any product Remaining in the MCS and let A-team Accelerator persistence generate all Classes Java necessary for you.

  MAF 2.3 and 2.4 (coming in first part of 2016) will integrate these read offline connection and written in a declarative way.  In the meantime, however, AMPA is a good way as well.
