  Hi y' all,.

  Try to get a new scanjet 200 works with my iMac (Yosemite 10.10)... but the included CD doesn't seem to work. I get the following pop-up message when you try to run the Setup program:

  "HP Scanjet Installer can ' t be installed because its digital signature is not valid." The package has been signed with a certificate that has been revoked. This package may not install what you expect. Get a new copy of the package, and then try again.

  Well... easier said than done. It was true that drivers etc. could be easily downloaded from the HP support page, but no more, it seems. Local HP support seems to be either nonexistent these days, or does not respond. Ideas, anyone?

  Don' t want to return the scanner, but if all else fails...

• Pavilion dv8t: installation of Digital Persona after a Format/install

  I'm planning a format/install of a Pavilion dv8t on my own copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.  I collect all the necssary files/drivers/etc that I need to complete installation before you begin.  The laptop came with a built-in fingerprint reader and the only software pre-installed, I want to keep once the format/install the Personal Digital Persona software (I don't want the HP software).  The problem I'm facing is that the software is not available for download on the HP site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=4063&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=4011375&lang=en.  In addition, the Digital Persona site differs from HP support: http://sw.nohold.net/DigitalPersona/Uploads/OEMLanding.html.

  The laptop (that I just bought via a custom online last week Setup) came with a CD of software for Digital Persona.  The laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Edition, the software is already pre-installed and it now works fine.

  I first contacted e-mail HP support, but they were not useful.  Anyone know how I can install Digital Persona after a format/install on my own copy of Windows 7 Ultimate?

  E-mail HP support still cannot quite understand what I'm trying to do, but I managed to find a solution myself.  What I did state factory, installed backup directory C:\SwSetup\DPFPR to a USB key.  It contains DigitalPersona.cva and Setup.exe.  Then I formatted and installed my own copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.  I installed some drivers from the download page, including the fingerprint reader driver.  Once the driver has been installed, I ran the Setup.exe from the directory DPFPR that I backed up and Digital Persona installed without problem.

  It works great now and I don't no shit HP OEM installed.

  Moire appears in scanned slides. The reason is clear, but how can I use Photoshop CS6 or any other program to correct the problem and remove the moire in digital images. I do not want to remove the glass of each blade to avoid contact glass with slide film. I use PC.

  Yes the upgrade option is gray when I opened the link. I'm trying to get my copy digital DVD that I bought (it came with a second dvd with digital copy). When I put the dvd in my computer tells me the following

  I used my HP Touchpad as an eReader using beta Kindle from the HP App store.  Recently, after I put in that latest WebOS update (version 3.0.5), now I can no longer download and read books. Please allow the network and connect to the internet and try again".»  It is strange that WiFi is on and I can see the Amazon bookstore.

  Update: I have conntacted Amozon Kindle help and they said the kindle app WebOS is no longer supported by them. So I installed Android instead (by following the instructions on this site: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/39264-touchpad-toolkit-android-automated-installer/), and am now running Kindle for Android with no problems.
