installation of iWork

I recently bought an unused, sealed box, any new version of iWork 9.0.3 for my iMac (details below). A few years ago I tried the app the iWork trial and helped the 30 trial period days without purchasing a license. I installed the new version yesterday without removing the trial app, and a screen came telling me I had to purchase a license for the latest version, which I can't use, or install the app, if I had the drive and follow the installation instructions, I did.

The installation seems to be OK for a window come "successful installation". When I tried to open one of the applications in the suite, I got an error report long indicating that I need to "check with the developer...". »

I then used clean my Mac uninstall anything to do with iWork, former and current. "With success", I reinstalled the new software and tried to open any one of the three applications. I had the same error report.

The system requirements section of the "read me" specifically mentions that I met all requirements for the installation of iWork 9.0.3.

Anything else I can do?

Click here and follow the instructions.

  • View Keynote 6 update after installation of iWork ' 09

This morning I installed iWork ' 09, which included the Keynote 5.3 on my MBP (El Capitan 10.11.2).  After that, I now see an update in the App Store for Keynote 6.6.1.  I do not have a license for Keynote 6.6.1 nor is it installed on my system.  I have installed 5.6.1 and numbers 3.6.1 Pages on this system.

I need this update of the Keynote 6.6.1 or is this a bug in the App Store updates section?

    Thank you

    Bev in TX

It's a normal procedure for the Mac App Store, it has detected that you have an end of life demand (apple issues more updates) and wishes to inform you there is a new version of Keynote.   We should offer free Keynote as a user of iWork 09.

It is a personal decision whether to use the brand new app, I use both versions, but the latest version is superior in many ways.

Load and test for your use, especially if you are free.

  • iWork Installer

I wiped my own machine and reinstalled OSX10.10.5, I migrated my files and applications.

When I go to launch the pages he tells me that iWorks Setup is missing.

I can't find that anywhere and downloaded the app store Age iWorks there.

    any ideas?

Always install the Apple Applications from the Mac App Store, not from a previous backup, which can be damaged or obsolete.

  • Lion mountain and suite iWork is not compatible?

Help!  I reformatted my computer (macbook 2008 running Mountain Lion) for my son to use and now impossible to reinstall the suite iWork, I already bought for her.  I can't upgrade the OS (computer is too old to El Capitan and no way to upgrade to Yosemite) when I try to re - download pages or notes or keynote, they say it must be at least OS 10.10.4, which I believe is Yosemite.  I bought these for this computer, then they used to be great!  What can I do?  Computer is has not been updated in a few years because I got a new macbook

    Thank you!

Only iWork ' 09 apps will run on Mountain Lion. They are no longer available at Apple because they had retired just before October 2013.

If your iWork ' 09 apps were purchased through the OS X App Store, then you can reinstall them starting from a Time Machine backup in the Applications folder. If these applications have been installed from the DVD of iWork ' 09, then you will have to perform a complete reinstall since media if you have, or buy from Amazon or Ebay dealers and follow its installation download Apple iWork 9.3 update is specifically for requests from DVD.

There are 3 updates in the app store for iWork (Pages, Numbers and Keynote). I'm under El Capitan. Attempts failed repeated and persistent to get them to install with red text "an error has occurred." It appears in the console:

Start Safe Mode removes the system caches that can help.

Upper left corner of your screen, click on the Apple  > Shut Down.

After your Mac stops, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key. You must press the SHIFT key as soon as possible once you hear the startup tone, but not before.

Release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

Once you are in Mode without failure, return to the menu Apple . In the drop-down list, click: reboot

If you still cannot update your applications, restore OS X using OS X Recovery.

    Then update your iWork applications.

  • iWorks ' 09 (Pages 4.0.5) on El Capitan?

Hey people, I use ' 09 iWorks (Pages v4.0.5) on an iMac in early 2009 under Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Thinking of upgrading to El Capitan... no idea if I will have compatibility issues if I update OS?

What worries me is that I use the Pages and Numbers intensively for work (a lot of design work) and can't afford to lose access to current to create new documents/capacity.

    Thank you!

    Sandra

    Sandra,

If you have still this detail iWork ' 09 DVD, you will need to reinstall after the upgrade of the El Capitan and then apply Update Apple iWork 9.3 to Pages ' 09 v4.3 - a sine qua non for compatibility El Capitan. The update, you'll have to v2.3 Numbers and Keynote 5.3 too. Note that I put the emphasis on a retail DVD iWork ' 09.

I have Pages ' 09 installed v4.3 here on El Capitan 10.11.4 and it works fine. There are a few problems with the hyphenation does not properly, it lack signs of fusion and mailing functionality and the menu share: mail is unusable.

Apple will not warn us that a next version of OS X break iWork ' 09 applications. They have retired and don't give it any thought.

Skip the installation of any Keynote v6 applications, current page v3 and v5 numbers because they are not based and complete rewrites on the original code of iWork ' 09. They are subsets of function iWork ' 09 and introduce new, incompatible documents formats using the same file name extension. Alert from the quagmire.

Before that you plan to upgrade, set a new post on the community of El Capitan points to consider before upgrading to Snow Leopard to El Capitan. It will give you good ideas to prevent the possible bad steps.

  • Can I change the installation type?

    Hello world

First of all, I wanted to explain that I'm a total newbie to VMware and I tried to get help, but couldn't find an answer to this, so sorry if this is a fundamental issue...

When I installed VMware fusion 3.x trial edition of I chose the option to keep windows as an entity separate and not fully integrate it into my Mac.  Now, I want to see what the other option would be (full integration) that I heard good things about this, but I do not see how to pass?

I have to completely uninstall and reinstall VMware?  If I do this, does mean I have to re - install windows etc?

    Thanks for reading

    F

1 Uninstalling VMware Fusion does not remove any virtual machines just as uninstall iWork will not delete all of the documents created with it.

    2. There is no need to reinstall the guest operating system to try the differences between the décor if you select more transparent more isolated vs chosen for easy installation.

In a series of screenshots, here are the differences...

    By choosing more transparent integration

Integration by choosing more transparent Virtual Machine Settings share

Integration by choosing more seamless Machine virtual default application settings

    Integration by choosing more isolated

Integration by choosing more isolated Machine virtual sharing settings

Integration by choosing more isolated Machine virtual default application settings

So, as you can see the differences in the images, you can choose the settings in the virtual machine settings sheets.

  • Installation of the Sierra

It is essential to backup prior to installation of the operating system Sierra?

Yes. It is always essential to backup before starting any kind of a major project as an upgrade of the operating system.

Old saying IT: it is always best to have a backup, no need then to need a backup and not have it.

  • After the installation of Sierra, calendar does not work

After installation of Sierra, when you open the calendar on my Mac, missing entries and the screen is frozen with the comment 'Moving calendars to the server account.' I signed that I the cloud to see if it would help, but I still have this problem.

Hello and welcome to Apple support communities, Stanley Star.

If I understand your message to the right, at the opening of the calendars for the first time after upgrading to Mac OS Sierra, you are missing calendar events and the app is frozen with a message saying "moving to Server account schedules. Calendars, this is one of my apps used on my Mac, so I certainly understand the importance of having the opening and operating as usual. I'm happy to help you to turn it on again!

Icloud and a signature was an excellent step to try. Here are the steps I recommend to do next:

    1. Check that the date and time are correct in your Mac by following the steps in macOS Sierra: set the date and time on your Mac.
    2. Close the present calendars on your Mac. If you are also reminders, close that as well as reminders and schedules work together. If the calendars close normally, will not force close it by clicking the  in the upper left corner of your screen, select force to close, select the calendars in the list of open applications, and then click the button close Force.
    3. Go to System Preferences > iCloud and uncheck the boxes next to the calendars and reminders.
    4. Restart your Mac.
    5. A times restarted, open again your calendar application, select "Calendar" in the Apple menu bar in the left corner of your screen, select "Add an account", choose iCloud and sign in with your Apple and the password.
    6. Give your calendar some time to sync and charge all your data. Once it is loaded successfully, and you can see all your events, open the reminders and do the same steps for signing in iCloud there are also well.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    Take care.

  • How can I download new version of iwork

I need help downloading the new version of iwork with enforcement pages

Downloading applications is done via the Mac App Store. New versions of iWork applications require Sierra, this is why you must first update your operating system to Sierra if you have not already done so. Upgrade to sierra is also done via the Mac App Store.

Thus, it would be useful to know what version of Mac OS X you are using and what version of Pages that you use.

  • What is the installer.app?

    Hey there Celeste Jones.

After researching this a little app, looks like it may be an old app that is not supported. I suggest looking up the app in your Applications folder and get rid of it, because it is probably more useful for you.

Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Installation of MacOS Sierra is not possible (no boot volume)

    Hello everyone

I have an iMac with the following characteristics:

and I'm trying to install the new Sierra of MacOS. But everytime I open the installation program, it tells me that I can't use the partition called 'Mac OS X', which is my main Mac partition on my drive of fusion, for the installation of Sierra because it cannot be used as a boot volume. Of course, it's completely absurd because I started 'Mac OS X' volume whenever I boot my Mac!

This screenshot shows the installer and the associated message:

Could someone help me please? I really want to do a clean install of all and that spend hours to restore my previous settings! Please...?

    Best regards

    Martin

    Hi mpauli,

I see that the Sierra of macOS Installer gives you a message saying "this disk cannot be used to start your computer." In order to get this problem solved, I suggest you follow through the troubleshooting steps in the link below.

Setup notes "OS X can not be installed on your computer" or "this disc cannot be used to start your computer.

    See you soon.
