installation of Safari conflict adobe acrobat

Hi, I am trying to download my free trial of adobe acrobat and I get an error message to close Safari.  Everything is closed! I closed down and rebooted and still nothing.  I checked the other threats at the suggestion of Application > utilities > activity monitor, but I don't have safari subfile notifications if these instructions don't seem to work either.  Help, please!

Search for acrobat or adobe reader processes and close them.

Uninstall acrobat and adobe reader.

then restart your computer and try to install again

  • "Unable to locate the document capture recognition service. Your installation is perhaps corrupt '-Adobe Acrobat 2015 (2015.008.20082) someone had the same number on this version in a .pdf conversion/export to MS Word 2010?

    Hi all

I saw this same error appear around the web, but none that relate to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (2015) and MS Word 2010. Has anyone encountered this same flaw/message when you try to convert/export a pdf file to MS Word 2010?

After clicking OK several times (through the above message), the export moves in any case, is there a way to maybe get rid of the messages coming, just to make the conversion to operate?

As an accompaniment, this isn't a problem with the help of MS Word 2013 with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (2015), but I would like to know if anyone has found a fix work for this export/conversion to Word 2010 (I may be among the masses here with this, but just in case where anyone knows of a fix for this).

Thank you for your time and any advice greatly received.

You need to talk to Adobe, not users on the forums, because only Adobe can reactivate something on their end.   I guess the numbers increase during the work week.

I know this post is very old, but it is the top google result when searching on this question, so I thought that a useful response would be in order.  I also had this problem, but I discovered the problem in the way I had my place set for My Documents, my pictures, etc..

Short answer, you must use UNC paths for mapping.

Longer answer - like you, I have a House (in my case sup) drive connected to my network of the company.  So, I can navigate to U:\Documents.  I had put the location of my documents (and other user files) to U:\Documents, well it worked most of the time it's really not the right way to do it.  If you open your drive mapped in file Explorer, the window title bar will show you the UNC patch.  It will look something like this: yourUsername (\\servername\home$).  Set the location of your My Documents, etc. to match - for example, to \\servername\home$\yourUsername\Documents

Note that you can not change just the My Documents - you must fix all of your user files that point to a network drive letter (C:\Users\blah bla... is fine) in the format of a UNC path instead.  Then re-run the installation of acrobat and you should be golden.  If the foregoing makes no sense to you, or you do not have the required privileges on your workstation, talk to your resource and they will be able to sort it out for you.

    Hi Irwin,

    Thanks for the updates.

I would like to inform you that if all Microsoft services are unchecked, then restore points will be deleted; However, it is perfectly safe to hide Microsoft services. When you check the option Hide all Microsoft Services, while the third-party services are shown.

I wish to inform you that amd64 has been seen in most of the newspapers of the events of similar problems.

However, you can try the following steps:

Step 1: I ask you to execute the following automated troubleshooting and uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader.
