  There is probably a problem of compatibility between the old software and the more recent operating system.

• Two router network installation

  I have two routers in my network, a Linksys WCG200 cable wireless router, and a router wireless broadband Linksys WRT54G3G-ST.  The latter is used in my motorhome in addition to providing backup/failover of the loss of cable service.  I want to configure them so (1) all the workstations can see the entire network no matter what router, they are connected, and (2) the cabability wireless on both routers must be active.  It would be preferred that the broadband router could be disconnected and the motorhome without reconfiguration - laptops that connect through the router might as well in the office and in the motorhome.

  The cable modem has a static IP wireless network printer configured in addition two VoIP adapters (both are DHCP).  I wish that they would continue to function normally when the router broadband is removed from the network (in collaboration with laptops).

  I tried the two routers in subnets in separate subnets, but cannot determine how to make all visible devices - the WRT54G3G-ST's advanced routing capabilities, but I have not determined a framework that will achieve the objectives.

  If anyone can help to direct me to a path to the solution, I would appreciate it a lot.

  Gandalf, thanks.  Both answers confirm that Linksys routers do not interconnect two subnets of a network, for this, the most advanced routers are necessary.

  Hello.

  I bought the second 1142n access point to my home network and you're wondering how to implement roaming. I did a lot of reading for the last 2 days, but I need to clarify the following points.

  Should I use WDS?

  I like to keep the simple configuration with WPA pre-shared key, rather than using user and password to authenticate each user.

  It seems that this guy said that WDS is not really necessary for this installation. Should I configure WDS or do I simply configure same SSID with same WPA preshared key on access points and it will work fine?

  I tried to install WDS but.

  I tried to configure WDS with this article, but I do not understand some things:

  1. What do I need to configure the SSID on the two access points to make it work? I thought that the configuration will automatically replicate to the WDS client after WDS is running, but it wasn't the case. I created "wds" SSID on the two access points. Is this correct?
  2. While WDS seems to work, I am not able to connect to the SSID "wds". After you enter the user name and password, it does not connect. Seems the credentials do not work, or maybe something else. Pointers?
  3. I have configured users under the Local Radius Server-> individual users. Is this correct?
  4. How you would install two access points of 1142n for use domestic?

  Hello

  If you use a WPA2/PSK, then all you have to do is configure the AP exactly in the same way, with the exception of the IP address of the interface BVI.

  So as long as the SSID and encryption are the same, and there is overlap between the cells the customer should wander between the AP.

  Info: only if you use 802. 1 x, then you want to configure WDS to the cached key.

  I have two applications LabVIEW 8.6 and can make the executable, then the installation for each of these files in the Project Explorer.

  After that I installed the FIRST application and when I want to install a SECOND, during the installation process, it indicates a newer version is currently installed even though I select a different installation path. The button "Next" is disabled, as shown in the attached screenshot.

  On the other hand, if I install the SECOND application first and then install the FIRST application, even if the installation paths are different, it installs the first application successfully but removes the second request.

  I don't know how to install both applications, one after another, regardless of the order. I appreciate any help or comment.

  Make sure that both versions have a different code level.

  (Builder installer... Version information... Code upgrade. Simply press "generate" to create a new one for the installation program that is not working)

  I'm trying to set up a RE6500 at home and I have no problem to see it on my computer when it made its own wireless network and I can start the installer very well but the problem comes when I try to sign and make the initial connection with my network.  It is hidden and I put the correct password and security type, so I think it's maybe a compatibility issue with my router.  I have a standard router verizon, I'm sure that, it's an Actiontec router any help would be great.

  For the initial installation of the RE6500, I do not recommend hide your wireless network. Then once the configuration is complete you can hide again. You must also give the RE6500 a static IP address so you can always connect.

  I have my internet connection to connect to my main router from Linksys WRT160NL (192.168.1.1) with 192.168.1.x.

  My 2nd Linksys router to connect to the first gateway as well.
  The 2nd router has the ip 192.168.1.100 WAN and it's a local subnet as 192.168.2.x.

  My 192.168.2.x machines can access the internet and connect to all the machines in the network 192.168.1.x.

  However, the 1.x network cannot access the machines on the network of the 2. And because of that, I can't share or print between two networks.

  I try to add static routes on my main router (192.168.1.1) with the road: 192.168.2.0 mask 255.255.255.0 and default gateway 192.168.1.100

  However, the road does not work yet.

  in any case to ensure that the 1.x network able to access the network 2.x and 2.x access 1.x file and print sharing.

  Gateway of the router does NAT who made the side inaccessible side LAN WAN, unless you configure port forwarding automatic or similar. If she would not make your LAN 192.168.1 would be accessible from the internet. Static routing will not change that.

  You will need to disable NAT (aka switch to router mode) on the second router. You must configure a static route on the main router then. However, most likely your network 192.168.2 * will not have Internet more because the main router will NAT for 192.168.1. * and no 192.168.2. *.

  If possible set up the second router as access point only and run a LAN.

  You would have to connect the second port of the lan router to the first router lan port and use the first option in this guide.

  1. If you are referring to wireless bridge, this router is NOT capable of it. You must use separate bridge wireless to connect to Router 2.
