"Installation of update 18 of 25" at boot

Can't get out of this so-called update via the soft start, hard start F8.  Installed the anti-virus software last night, normally closed but system unable to do anything today.

Method 1:
 
First try to perform a system to WinRE and follow below provided methods.
 
Use the Windows recovery environment (WinRE) to run the system restore (If system restore is enabled on your computer)
 
a. Insert the Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
b. press a key when the message "press any key to boot from CD or DVD".
c. Select a language, a time and currency, and a keyboard or input method, and then click Next.
d. click on repair your computer.
e. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, select the drive of your Windows installation and click Next
f. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click System Restore.
g. follow the instructions in the System Restore Wizard and choose the appropriate restore point.
h. click Finish to restore the system.

Once you start on the desktop, I suggest you to install the updates one by one on your computer manually and check if the problem reappears.
 
Download and save the Setup on your desktop package and try to install the same one by one and check what update is causing the problem.

    It seems that some of the non-Microsoft programs are interrupting the installation of update. I would like to inform all the large Windows Update will take you 30 minutes to install.     Please bear with me here that I try to explain all the questions I have with my computer right now. I'll try to explain everything that self-organization as possible, but if you need more information or file papers to provide a solution more precise, do it me know.

    To start, I use a HP Pavilion dv6000 series (dv6748us to be exact) with Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) installed. (Service pack 2). About 6 months ago I got this laptop from what I believe was the conflicker virus (kept forwarding pages, arrested updates and antivirus programs, etc.) and I managed to get Windows Update works again. My help and Support did not work well, it only worked in Mode without failure, so I did some research and tried a bunch of suggested corrections (update the registry, etc.) and got it work yet once again. I don't know if one of the tools that I used all by setting the Help & Support could have caused problems that I now (as I literally tried everything under the Sun until I got to work), but my Windows Update does not work properly again.

    A few weeks ago, I installed some updates and restarted the computer, but updates did not finish install on reboot. He said the usual "Configuring Updates, do not turn off your computer", but never showed percentage complete or whatever it is. It restarted, and when I open Windows Update, he said the last time I checked the updates has never been (obviously not true), and when I tried to check the updates, it jumped right to the message telling me I have to restart my computer to complete the installation of updates. She continues to do everytime I open Windows Update. From time to time, I try to restart it, just to see if it will work, and he never does.

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Hi my old laptop Pavillion G6 of 12 months (which was the worst computer I've ever owned!) is stuck on an update. The screen shows the message "Keep your PC up to... this installation to update 1 of 2" for 12 hours (overnight).

    1. Click Start and run, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK.
    2. Expand Computer Configuration, expand Windows settings, expand Security settings, and then expand local policies.
    3. Click user rights assignment.
    4. In the right pane, double-click on impersonate a client after authentication.
    5. Verify that the Service accounts and directors are included.
    6. If the Service account or the Administrators account is missing, follow these steps to add the account:
      1. Click on add a user or group, click Advanced, and then click locations.
      2. In the location box, click Local_Computer_Name, and then click OK.
      3. Click Find now.
      4. Press CTRL and click the required account names, and then click OK three times.
    7. Restart the computer.

    Step 6: Enable the persistence of user data in Microsoft Internet Explorer

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    3. Click the Security tab, and then click Internet.
    4. Click on custom level.
    5. In the settings dialog box, scroll down to the Miscellaneous section.
    6. Under the Userdata persistence, click Activate.
    7. Click OK two times.
