Hi, I have Windows XP.  Recently, I got a window that constantly comes on my screen whenever I turn on my computer.

has not passed the Windows Logo to veryfy test it's compatibility with Windows XP

To continue could harm...

You could deal with this issue because of an incompatible driver or an infection on the computer.

Please follow the below link to help solve the problem.

Method 1

Start your computer in a clean boot and search for the error

If the problem does not occur in the clean boot then the problem is caused by some third party software. If the problem persists then perform the steps in the method 2

Update your antivirus program and boot into safe mode with networking and scanning for infections.

Scan your computer for infections.

To download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner, follow these steps:

a. go to the website of Microsoft Safety Scanner: Security Microsoft Scanner

b. click on download now.

c. If you are prompted, click Run. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the Microsoft Safety Scanner. When prompted, add a shortcut to the Microsoft Safety Scanner on your desktop.

d. from your desktop, double-click the icon for the Microsoft Safety Scanner. When the Microsoft Safety Scanner program is launched, click Type of Scan, then click Scan, then click Next.

Once you have completed the above steps please identify what software was causing the problem and uninstall and reinstall if necessary using the latest compatible version.

    You can check if the antivirus or other security software raises questions. I would say to you temporarily disable the security software installed and check if the problem is resolved.

    If you disable any security software for troubleshooting temporarily, so don't forget to activate after troubleshooting is completed that your computer will be at risk.

    The Windows Installer continues to run whenever I do any type of activity from Solution Explorer or launch a desktop application.  I am running Office XP on Vista Home Premium and it used to work fine, until I rebooted my PC.  I installed the Vista service packs before you reinstall all my programs and this is where the problem started.  All other programs work very well.  I have admin on the account that I use and UAC turneed off right.  I have all the updates of Windows installed.  No matter if I run the first program or open a document to open the program.  I always get the message that wimndows is to install office, and then configure it.  Any ideas?     You can try the following steps and check if you can solve the problem.

    Step 1: Start the Windows Installer service

    1. click on Start, type Services.mscin start Searchand press ENTER.

    2. double-click click Windows Installer

    3. set the start type for Windows Installer to manual

    4. click Start start service.

    Step 2: you can also try the steps followingRéinscrivez Windows Installer and check if it helps

    a. clickStart, type %windir%\system32\msiexec /unregserver in the search box and press onENTER.

    b. type%windir%\system32\msiexec/regserver , and then pressENTER.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow

    This laptop was purchased with a Windows 7 OS pre-installed.  A year ago, I took advantage of the free upgrade to Windows 10.  No problem and so far so good.

    Today, I decided to upgrade my factory HDD to SSD performance.   I clone the drive HARD integer using Macrium Reflect and he went ase expected.

    After passing on hard drives and cranking up the SSD, I am taken to the Windows Boot Manager screen.  It recognizes that I have a hardware change (HDD-> SDS) and he suggested that I demarrer start with Instalation of Windows disk, select language and next, before choosing the repair option.  How can I solve this problem I never got a Windows Setup disc (without CD player on this model)?

    In the Windows Boot Manager, there is a following screen to select an operating system.  Although I can see the Windows 10 option, after you have selected the option I need just to return to the Windows Boot Manager screen.

    Unfortunately, I do not know what W10 gives you the repair options.

    If there is a command line option, you can try running the repair options listed in the link below.

    They are for W7, but maybe W10 uses the same commands.

    I would not invest too much time in the repair installation, because you will probably be able to clean install W10 and install all your programs and files in less time it will take to understand the problem (if you can).

    x 17 - 59465.iso is the ISO of Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit.  Let me tell you that most laptops do not come with Ultimate, so the report that the key was for the wrong version is probably correct as you say "label indicates the computer came with Home Prem OA."

    Given that the material all past, and he could install another version of windows without problem, I suspect a problem with the 8.1 Windows installation disc x 64. IT may be a good idea to contact Microsoft about this.

    With the BIOS RAID + AHCI value, see if it works...

    I zipped and tied the Intel storage controller drivers for your model below.

    Download and unzip the files in the folder.

    Get a USB flash drive and copy the files in the folder on the flash without the record player.

    With the drive plugged into a port USB 2, and W7 in the PC installation media, start from the W7 installation media.

    After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

    You should now see the storage driver files listed.

    If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

    Follow the prompts and I hope, will install W7.
