installed on April 14, 2009 things... bad security updates have arrived

After installing the updates of security for Windows Vista (Home Premium) of April 14, 2009, my laptop just kept restarting and enter the Startup Repair tool.  After 2 hours of this, I finally got a system restore.  So now, I'm obviously a littl apathetic on the installation of the updates.  No idea what could have happened?  There is no STOP errors or error codes provided in the details section of the Startup Repair.

To resolve this problem in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, type cmd in the Search box, right-click cmd in the programs list, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
  2. At the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER:
    true fsutil resource setautoreset C:\

Note These steps assume that Windows is installed in the default location, drive C. If this is not the case, adjust the drive letter of the path of the folder to match your configuration.

  3. Restart the computer.
  4. Install the updates again.

If your PC behaves properly, you can remove the hidden Windows hotfix backup files that start with $NTUninstallKB to the WINDOWS folder. There are two ways to do:

    A. manually, but copy files on a CD/DVD first to enable their restoration has a fix must be removed thereafter. Now delete the folder \WINDOWS, but leaves the orphan entries to add / remove programs intact. Remove only the $NTUninstallKB files that relate to corrections, not those for applications such as Word, WMP, etc.. In addition, DO NOT DELETE THE folder$ $hf_mig.

    B. my preference goes to run a script that also removes the corresponding entries in Add / Remove programs. Once they are deleted by the script, they cannot be restored. Download, extract and run this little scripthttp://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_hotfix_backup.htm creating a system restore point first just in case something goes wrong when the update of the register.

  • What is the best way to create a custom Windows XP slipstreamed CD so that I can install fees and be perfectly up-to-date on security updates at the end of the installation?

I have Windows XP SP3 OEM CD. I want to use to create a 'new' Windows XP OEM CD slipstreamed which would include at each update published security for XP since Service Pack 3. After researching this project for a bit, I noticed that an unholy amount of security updates have been released since Service Pack 3. My main question is how can I get all these security updates without having to monotonous download each individually? Or is this the only way? Is there a website that is legitimate and can be trusted who was respected and compressed these updates of security in a single file that can be downloaded? How can I incorporate these security updates? It is even possible to integrate these security updates or would they simply be performed one after the other during the installation of Windows XP?

everything's fine, the virtual machine gets deployed perfectly, with the 1 question, it ends with

all security updates have been installed on the original vm (the one I did the model from) and the automatic updates on. The problem is obvious... Deployment + customization allows you to deploy the virtual machine in a few clicks without interacting with the operating system, but now I have to go and click on the Finish button for the virtual machine online. Does anyone have a quick remedy for that? Thank you

You must create a key in the Windows registry.
