installed on April 14, 2009 things... bad security updates have arrived
After installing the updates of security for Windows Vista (Home Premium) of April 14, 2009, my laptop just kept restarting and enter the Startup Repair tool. After 2 hours of this, I finally got a system restore. So now, I'm obviously a littl apathetic on the installation of the updates. No idea what could have happened? There is no STOP errors or error codes provided in the details section of the Startup Repair.
To resolve this problem in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008, follow these steps:
- Click Start, type cmd in the Search box, right-click cmd in the programs list, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
- At the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER:true fsutil resource setautoreset C:\
Note These steps assume that Windows is installed in the default location, drive C. If this is not the case, adjust the drive letter of the path of the folder to match your configuration.
- Restart the computer.
- Install the updates again.

I have everything, if records of installation/uninstallation and newspapers since I installed XP.
I'm sure that the last set of Windows updates work.
Is there a problem with the removal of old files/flies and connects using CCleaner?
If not all, can I at least remove those older files that the SP2 install date?
What problems can I hire after cleaned?
I guess that the answer to MS Office updates also apply.

If your PC behaves properly, you can remove the hidden Windows hotfix backup files that start with $NTUninstallKB to the WINDOWS folder. There are two ways to do:
A. manually, but copy files on a CD/DVD first to enable their restoration has a fix must be removed thereafter. Now delete the folder \WINDOWS, but leaves the orphan entries to add / remove programs intact. Remove only the $NTUninstallKB files that relate to corrections, not those for applications such as Word, WMP, etc.. In addition, DO NOT DELETE THE folder$ $hf_mig.
B. my preference goes to run a script that also removes the corresponding entries in Add / Remove programs. Once they are deleted by the script, they cannot be restored. Download, extract and run this little scripthttp://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_hotfix_backup.htm creating a system restore point first just in case something goes wrong when the update of the register.

I have Windows XP SP3 OEM CD. I want to use to create a 'new' Windows XP OEM CD slipstreamed which would include at each update published security for XP since Service Pack 3. After researching this project for a bit, I noticed that an unholy amount of security updates have been released since Service Pack 3. My main question is how can I get all these security updates without having to monotonous download each individually? Or is this the only way? Is there a website that is legitimate and can be trusted who was respected and compressed these updates of security in a single file that can be downloaded? How can I incorporate these security updates? It is even possible to integrate these security updates or would they simply be performed one after the other during the installation of Windows XP?

Error code 8E5E0147 for installation of windows security updates
Hello. I noticed that no new updates have been installed on my computer (with the exception of all updates for Windows Defender but also the recent Microsoft .NET Framework Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework family updates). Everything else, like security updates, have failed since January 13, 2009. I saw someone else who has had this problem for 9 months. The error code is 8E5E0147. Wndows update download and try to install the updates. However, once completed, it says "failed". I worry because my computer is not updated for April fool virus. Can I get any help here? I heard people say that maybe I need to ask a Windows installation CD.
Thank you, Martin. The thing is that my .NET and service packs would have to install. Don't forget that my problem was not downloaded from the update, but the installation. I think I found the answer. My Norton Internet security and Antivirus had expired. When I got Windows security updates, I had no program to receive these updates. I renewed my subscription, and everything worked. It has not been easy. However. I had to keep doing updates on Norton security until I received the message "no new updates were found" after that, I got all the new definitions and update of WIndows was allowed to install thanks to the new KB for your help.

everything's fine, the virtual machine gets deployed perfectly, with the 1 question, it ends with
all security updates have been installed on the original vm (the one I did the model from) and the automatic updates on. The problem is obvious... Deployment + customization allows you to deploy the virtual machine in a few clicks without interacting with the operating system, but now I have to go and click on the Finish button for the virtual machine online. Does anyone have a quick remedy for that? Thank you
You must create a key in the Windows registry.

Security updates Microsoft for Office 2003 fails with the error 80070643
The computer is running Windows Vista Business SP1 with three viewers for Microsoft Office 2003 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) up and running. The computer is not running Office 2003. Instead, OpenOffice 3.1 is installed.
The following three Microsoft Security Updates download very well, but all the time, do not settle:
Update of security for Microsoft Word Viewer 2003 (KB969614)
Update of security for Microsoft Office Excel Viewer 2003 (KB969685)
Update of security for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB972580)All the other Microsoft Security Updates associated with Microsoft Office 2003 and Office 2003 viewers were installed without a hitch.
Generated in error do not install the security updates is 80070643. The service 'Office Source Engine' (OSE.exe) is started, but it is configured for manual start as opposed to auto-start.
Check file system (CFS) has already been run and he did not find any violations and no repair was necessary.
So, any ideas? What are the next steps? Indeed, these updates are still needed or can they be hidden and ignored? Any help will be appreciated with gratitude!

can I install old microsoft security updates (2009) on top of new security updates (2011) (ex: KB1234 is a fix for ieexplorer 2011)
"(and then on top of that I'll install KB4321 a fix for iexplorer too)." Is this possible? Or is the patch also corrects the same problem that occurs in the past?Run Windows Update... it will select what your computer needs.

will not install kb954430 security update.
I tried a lot of things, like downloading it manually. I have read other forums, who say to uninstall the update 954430 existing (in Add / Remove Programs) and reinstall. There is not an existing one.
When I manually install, it comes back with an error message: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\MSXML2. DOMDocument.4.0\CLSID verify that you have sufficient access to that key.
Help! I am trying to install SP3, and he refused that, too, because an update is not installed.

update of security (KB2676562) has already been correctly installed 21 times, began towards the end of May. Update for Windows Vista (KB2679255) was successfully installed 35 times, he began in mid-April. These two continue to update themselves every day and do it at least twice a day, back to back. It is very frustrating to have to deal with that and makes me think that something may be a problem with my computer.
