Integration of BPEL Process Manager and jDeveloper

I downloaded BPEL Process Manager 10.1.3.1.0 but BPEL Designer is delivered is no longer with her and it integrates with jDeveloper 11g. Is there a version of BPEL Process Manager that I can integrate with jDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.0.0? I have to use jDev 10g in order to use BPEL Process Manager. Please forward your comments.

The JDeveloper and SOA Suite / BPEL version must remain in phase with each other, this includes minor versions, e.g. JDev 10.1.3.4 must be used with SOA Suite 10.1.3.4. Unfortunately the 11g JDev is not certified with the 10.1.3.1 SOA Suite.

If you just install SOA Suite, it may be a good idea to upgrade to 10.1.3.4 until development is underway.

  • Cannot find new_domain in BPEL Process Manager

    Hi friends,

I've updated the patch from oracle soa suite 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.4... I followed the procedure, I ran the scripts, installation was successful. but when I opened my bpel process manager I can not find any change in the GUI is not different... I've seen screenshots of 10.1.3.4 bpel: they are different and it has an option to the drop in default menu items and new_domain but I can not find them...

is someone can you please tell me what I should do in order to get the ability to create new_domain...

    It would be very grateful...

    Thank you
    Bargo

Your friend is on an older version. By default the drop does not exist, I'm not sure if the drop down menu appears when several areas exist? Otherwise, you go to your domain name by using the following url

    http://hostname:port/BPELConsole/[domain]/index.jsp

    To create a new domain

    Goto website

    http://hostname/ReportServer: port/BPELAdmin

  • Process management and security roles

    Hi guys,.

I haven't worked with security too, and now I have to set the users who will be linked to the cycle of process management. Is there a specific role for each phase? All phases are necessary?

    Thank you!

    Anna

    Hi Anna,.

I think that the first and most important step in your task is to understand the information flows through your organization. Ask your customers/users how the flow of information would have been had they not HFM. Design a couple of cards and have your clients sign this process is very important in my experience.

As soon as you understand what roles of company should deliver/review of information for the next role of business, then start designing HFM processes management.

    • The first level of process management is the road. At this level no user cannot import data except the administrator
    • The second level of process management is the first pass. At this level all users can enter data without restriction.
    • The third level of the management of the process is the levels of review. You have 10 levels of review by submission. However, a five-level review is enough for most organizations. Consider the most complex multilevel review process. My personal opinion is that the 4 levels of review are good enough for the majority of organizations. RL1, the inputer will enter data to the RL2, the Director of finance will review the data, RL3 hub/region Director will review the data and finally to RL4 users group will review the data.
    • Level 4 review I mentioned, can be the substitute of the next set of levels that is present, approve, and publish. The status "publish" will allow the entity to block which means that not even the administrator will not be able to change the data or calculate l‟entite.

There are many combinations of how you can configure process management, so if you have any questions please let us know.

    Kind regards

Could you let me know the URL to access the Task Manager and admin workspace.
    Thanks in advance.

Looking at your port 8585 it is the default port for the Studio, in the Studio, there is no Director of the Web console or workspace, these applications are only available in the enterprise.
If your case is undertaken, then the url is /webconsole and /portaladmin

  • Integration of barcode asset management and LR

I discovered to my delight that you can integrate Lightroom and asset print barcode-based management. It is a way of:

    1. automate label printing for images without no regeneration of the keys to the information, and
    2. automate the process of finding the image of which a copy has been made

Why do? You can sell prints or make just for your pleasure. It is advisable to provide some labeling of the draws for you (or buyer) know what they're looking at. It may be useful to be able to quickly find the source of the print image. Of course, you can simply include the name on the label and type it to find the source image. But produced labels look a bit messy with an arbitrary filename sometimes stuck in there. One option is to include a barcode neat on the label. You can then use your webcam to read the label and directly insert the file name in the search field of LR. Presto! To the top appears the image, where the print was made.

Warning: My apologies to Mac users, I only discovered this on a PC. I'm sure there are substitutes for each of the things that I used.

What you need to do this [PC]:

    • Lightroom (LOL)
    • LR/carrier (very useful for many things)
    • Excel (optional, but part of my workflow)
    • A way to print labels with barcodes. I use a cheap Brother which comes with the P-Touch editor printer.
    • A webcam
    • Webcam barcode reader software. I use bcWebCam which is free

    How to:

I'm going to sketch out how I do with specific gear I have and then suggest how you can get in with the other gear.

    Simple workflow:

    1. Implement the LR/carrier to export a summary file of the image export, which includes all of the fields you want on your label (including of course the file name). Format of comma-delimited CSV file with a header row to set the exported fields. It is saved and reused as a preset for export. Routlinely that I can then select the images I am printing and export them to a dummy folder that I use for the purpose of transferring Image information.
    2. I use my label printer with a model that merges the data from the CSV file on a label with the name of the file printed as a QR barcode. Generally, I put a label directly on the opposite impression, and in the box, the other at the rear of the chassis. With impressions of high quality art, I do only the latter in order to avoid any possibility of problems with fading the obverse of paper glue. Here is an example.LabelExample.jpg
    3. Having already installed bcWebCam, if I need to find an image that needs a bit of a search (probably only if I have not worked on it recently), I load bcWebCam while LR is running, place my mouse cursor in the search field in the library view (after you have selected the root of my catalog) and hold the label print in front of the webcam. Presto! bcWebCam inserts the file name in the search field and the image in LR!

Actually, I use excel as an intermediary to read LR/carrier data and reformat elements. One of the reasons is the information exported by LR/carrier GPS has some weird characters in it and they need to be cleaned. Characters with accents or umlauts also need special treatment. Excel also allows me to define how each label I want to print... The label printer software reads the file excel as a database and allows the printing of the required number of labels.

If you are interested in this solution, you are likely to have dozens or hundreds of thousands of images in which case camera generated file names is not unique. I add a month and year in the import and conversion to DNG in LR to ensure that file names are unique. There are a range of other alternatives that may suit your workflow better. But don't forget, you need something that LR is located in a single search. It may be you create an ID unique in a field EXIF or IPTC - this also works...  Some smart rabbit can point on for me there is some infallible automatic unique identifier for each image in LR can be viewed and exported, but I'm not aware of it. I guess that time (to the second) imaging is pretty close, but I do not see how to find a search field entry on this...

Where you may need to find workarounds:

If you're on a PC, the only thing that is not available on the net is the barcode label printer. In the past, I used to print labels on sheets of multiple labels with a laser printer. It is not obvious to me how to translate the unique identifier of image in a barcode for this approach, but I don't know there will be an out there. But I came to the conclusion that a dedicated "we demand" label printer would save a huge amount of messing around. I think the brother model I use is about US$ 79, which isn't exactly breaking any bank. And the continuous paper roll that I use means labels end up about 2.5 cents a noise...  What makes this or even the most capable models (with auto-couteaux) such a lot is the P-touch software that fact all the sequence database to the field labels and bar code information. Worth the price alone, I think. There are other free and paid webcam barcode there readers too; I noticed that works for me...

This may seem rather complex to implement. But the reality is, once the export, print templates and database are in place, it's all automatic.

    Hello

    Great use of LR/carrier

Strange characters is the fact that LR/carrier produced files with a UTF-8 encoding.  You must be able to read as well as see them.  Most applications can read UTF - 8 these days.

  • BPEL Process Manager developer - issue license

My company is licensed for BPEL PM and there on several servers. I'm a developer to create programs for my business I'm official... not a contractor. All programs are deployed to our development servers.

I want to install BPEL PM on my laptop. This would allow me to put offline and also to work around any problems that arise on the development such as table querying server or queue crashes and necessary reboots, etc.

The installation of BPEL PM is allowed free of charge on a pc developer for this situation?

Technically no, but you can be covered by the OTN license. When you download the software from OTN you sign a contract. IF you feel that you are covered in the present virtue then go nuts.

How customers is generally have licenses processors, for the production and the user Named for development license test, etc. You need a minimum to 10 named users per CPU of your dev to test environments. If your company has purchased more then you could use some of these licenses, but remember you will have 10 not one as it is a new machine.

  • BPEL process hangs for hours and hours after the service call web sync

I would like the web service call time out if it crashes it

or a process that calls a Local or a remote WebService, it is necessary to set a time limit of 10 seconds that the BPEL will wait for the response. If no response is received within the time-out period specified, then a series of activities is performed (for example. WebService not available, end of the BPEL process, etc.).

At the top of screen, "WS_Call" is the call to the WebService.

    2. in the sequence where to call 'WS_Call' activity, add a branch of wrestling:

and set its properties to catch a RemoteFault.
It is necessary to take a RemoteFault because this is the type of fault that throws the "timeout" which will be defined in the next step when the time-out expires.

    3. switch to the Source Jdeveloper tab and look at the code that has been added to the Bpel project as instructed by top 'Step 2 '. The added lines should look like the piece of code below:

In the branch of wrestling, the error can be treated: complete the process, insert a response/answer to return from the Bpel, an Assign activity and continue the Bpel, etc..

4 set the "timeout" for the PartnerLink to 10 seconds.
"Timeout" specifies the number of seconds to wait before expiry. A distance error is thrown if this happens.

If the Web service is located on the SAME host as the BPEL, it is also necessary to set the property "optSoapShortcut" to FALSE.
The parameter "optSoapShortcut" is by default = TRUE. It should be set to FALSE to force local SOAP to go through SOAP instead of internal calls request.

Note: Step 4 can also be directly configured in bpel.xml in the partnerLinkBinding section:

    5
    fake

    5. recompile and redeploy the BPEL process.

  • In the bpel process one-way transaction management

    Hello

I created a one-way bpel process with oneWayDeliveryPolicy property - property Sync and transaction - required. When I exposed this service as a SOAP service, I see well The Participation of Transaction in the Web Service adapter in the way of exposed Services configured as EVER. Is this to say that BPELCallee would not participate in the same transaction as the appellant BPEL?

    Aditya

    Hello

Properties refer to the support of different transactions "contexts", as you can see in the documents below. The bpel.config.transaction refers to the semantics of Transaction BPEL Process Manager, while the 'Participation of the operation' refers to WS-AT , which provides interoperability of transaction between Oracle WebLogic Server and transaction of other providers services... I've never tested it myself, but I guess that if you process BPEL transactions, the bpel.config.transaction will prevail...

  • How a BPEL process instance knows you cancel (ed)?

The javadoc for the cancel() method IInstanceHandle said: "When an activity is canceled, the performer of the activity is informed of the cancellation and has the ability to restore or cancel any work that has been done in the name of the activity."

How is the user who performs the notified activity? A kind of fault? It can encode a Manager 'Cancel' in the BPEL process, or the "rollback or undo" everything is done behind the scenes?

Either a complete response or a pointer to the appropriate documentation (that I still could find) would be nice. Thank you.

The BPEL instance can be cancelled via the BPEL API or through the console (Abort instance) or due to an error. Then the BPEL Process Manager detects this and cancel the currently running instance. The instance will make a cancellation of transaction, depending on whether it was a global (XA) or local transactions. This entire mechanism is run behind the scenes.

  • Weblogic server integration is needed in Jdeveloper for BPEL of 10g and 11g upgrade?

    Hello

Weblogic server integration is needed in Jdeveloper for BPEL of 10g and 11g upgrade?

We migrated BPEL 10g and 11g. I understand that this integrated weblogic server is part of jdeveloper.

Integration of weblogic server allows successful simulation of the weblogic Server real 11g which we installed as a separate product?

or should we connect jdeveloper to weblogic server 11g instead of the integrated weblogic Server?

    Please notify.

    Thank you

No, built-in weblogic server is not necessary in jdeveloper for bpel upgrade.

If you are migrating bpel go separate domain and weblogic/managed servers, don't use integrated weblogic.
