Intel i7 920 2.67 GHz CPU?

Hello

Does anyone know why my HP Pavilion Elite m9659f is Intel i7 920 2.66 GHz CPU reporting 2.67 GHz via BIOS and how do I tell him 2.66 GHz?  Thank you for your time.

Different software or considered utilities may report different, rounded upwards or downwards.

2.66 gHz is identical to 2.67 gHz...  I don't know how to make the change, and seriously - the performance is the same...

You are confused of RAM and disk space available.

RAM stores information temporarily while the Mac is enabled and the application is reached. RAM replacement has no effect on the long term of your information storage.

The hard drive is where your information is stored in the long term. If you replace your hard drive, you need restore the information from a backup.

FYI, for your iMac, the maximum RAM is only 6 GB.

    Exiob, welcome to the forum.

I am not sure if an Intel i7-920 will work or not, but I could not find information in the documentation.  Here is a guide which tells about the addition of a second Xeon processor.  This brings me to blieve that the Xeon processors are better suited for the motherboard.

I know from experience that some processors will work even if they are not supported.  However, they are not supported by HP.

  • Re: How can NB200-10Z - I run to 1.66 Ghz CPU

    Hello world
I have a NB200-10Z. This computer is able to run to 1.66 GHz clock frequency.
When I use a tool to check, the answer is 1 GHz, and I have a message 'the clock is locked' (or something like that).

How do I can run the 1.66 ghz expected and supplied by Toshiba?

    Thank you

    Hello

The laptop supports the processor Intel(r) atom N280 1.66 GHZ) 667 MHZ FSB.
The processor supports the improved technology Intel (r) SpeedStep (R).

This technology controls the performance of the processor and clock down the CPU if the performance is not necessary that save power and reduce heat dissipation!

All courses and is controlled automatically!
This means that if there should be more CPU performance, then the CPU would go faster at 1.66 Ghz

  • Satellite L30 - 11 d: Vista watch 1.6 GHZ instead of 1.8 Ghz CPU

I have a Satellite L30 - 11 d running Vista Basic and appears since the latest BIOS up to this day I get a lot of crashes on blue screen.

I looked in windows journal and it is said that the BIOS is not correct for my machine.
I know that I have an INTEL CELERON M440 CPU 1, 86GHz pocessor I used an INTEL tool to confirm.
Yet when I go into the DEVICE MANAGER and look in pocessor drive it tells me that the drive is INTEL CELERON (R) M CPU 420 @ 1.6 GHZ

Now, if this has been changed by the BIOS update or has been put in place to the I do not know the manufacturers.
    Someone enlighten me please.

    Thank you.

The fake name of CPU has nothing to do with the BIOS!

Remove the CPU from the Device Manager and restart the Vista.
AprΦs dΘmarrage again the Vista operating system will recognize the CPU again, and will correct the title of the CPU.
It seems that there is a bug in Vista!

  • What exactly means 2.20 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost 3,20 GHz technology medium?

What is technology Intel turbo boost? Up to 3.2 GHz dependent on the program? Or is it a manual adjustment or over the clock face?

Turbo Boost is essentially automatic overclock the CPU depending on the processing power required by a program. Suppose you run a program that requires CPU moderate maximum processing power, then the OS will tell the CPU to be in her performance C0 State and would use Turbo Boost or just run at its normal speed 2.2 GHz according to the temperature of the processor, power supply and CPU demand plan schema of the program. In addition, more than hearts are loaded, the less thrust GHz you get because of the power and thermal constraints. There is no direct control on Turbo Boost, but you can disable it by selecting 'save energy' in the Windows power options.

To see Turbo thrust in real time, you can download the Intel's Turbo Boost monitor.

Here is a screenshot of a Turbo boost clocked at 2.8 GHz which is 0.6 GHz above its normal speed of 2.2 GHz:

I'm looking to upgrade my processor which is currently an Intel Celeron Dual Core B800 @ 1.50 GHz. First of all, what I read am I was right assuming that the Intel Core processor will work in place the Celeron? I am opting to the processor Intel Core i5 2430M 1333 MHz if application permits. If not, is that I can use the Intel Pentium 2.20 GHz TJ85 B960, or are the two compatible? I thank you in advance for any response or any light you may be able to do about it.
