Internet connection down, windows 8, reset wireless network adapter
I am running windows 8 on a computer laptop dv6 HP Envy and my internet connection keeps falling every few minutes. This is due to the wireless network card and I have to reset the connection manually each time. Even plugged into my modem, the connection drops. I had my ISP reset the modem, tested and it works fine. My connection is still down because of my network card. Help, please.
If you run the dism.exe / online/cleanup-image /restorehealth it may very well be able to fix the corrupted files. If necessary reruns sfc / scannow. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/network/computer adapter laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.
The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

Internet connection not working is not wireless, connected to two networks
I have a problem connecting to the internet via the wireless connection. With a cable, I can connect to the home network and the internet. However with the radio, I have local access to the home network. In the network and sharing Center, it shows that I am connected to the home network but also to another unidentified network. When I click the Diagnostics button to see why there is no internet connection, he said that the problem is that there is more than one connection and that I should remove one of them. When I disconnect the network or unidentified network, they have both disconnect. I tried to reset the wireless adapter, reset the router and do a system restore and none of these worked. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Having to reset wireless network card all a few minutes after the release of Windows 7
I have an Acer Aspire and have successfully used to connect to the Internet for a few months. After the automatic updates of Windows 7 on 14/07/2011, I have to reset the wireless network adapter every few minutes. My computer is essentially useless for the internet connection.
There is no problem with the wireless router as I can connect to the Internet successfully for long periods of time with my HP computer. I've used both computers simultaneously over the network without any problems.
When Internet Explorer "blockages" and I opened the network and sharing Center, it says that my computer is connected to my home network but there is "No Internet access."
In the system tray, if I right click on the wireless network icon and select problems, he comes back with:
- Reset your wireless network adapter
- The connection between your modem cable, router or point of access and the Internet
- Problem with access point or wireless adapter
So far, I have
- uninstall the Windows updates and rebooted my computer
- Adapter wireless uninstalled & reinstalled my
- made sure the drivers for the wireless network are up-to-date.
- made sure the Internet Protocol Version 4 and 6 are configured to obtain the IP address and the address of DNS server automatically
- back to zero/renew the IP address manually
- with Windows Firewall disabled (unable to connect then I have reactivated firewall island
Apart from restoring a backup, I'm ideas. Help!
I ended up having to do a hard reset on my router. It seems to have cleared up the problem.

Hi omsaini,
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.
Sorry to hear that you have to connect to a wireless network adapter trouble.
To help you further on this subject, it would have been really helpful for us if you had
mentioned a few details such as:
(1) is there an error message you get when you try to connect to the internet?
(2) is the persistent problem with all browsers installed on the machine?
(3) what is the brand and the type of the network adapter (whether ADSL or an adapter included)? However, there are a few steps that we can try first:
a. the following link has a very good tutorial on how to install a network adapter on the computer:

Constantly having to reset wireless network card every 5 minutes
I have HP Pavilion dv6t - b 6, 00 CTO. I started to lose my wireless internet connection since I have connected to the wireless network. I'll then run the convenience store and I have to reset the wireless network adapter. This fixes the problem... for a while. Then it happens again. I have to repeat this process several times a day and it makes me NUTS!
Listed in my device manager network adapters are:
Intel (r) Centirno (R) Wireless-N 1030
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapt
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport fit # 2
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Hello:
Have you tried to update the driver directly from Intel?
The second driver is 64-bit.
A member of the forum with the 2230 with a very similar problem said that the independent 64-bit driver didn't help, but when he installed the software and driver proset, the disconnection problems went away.
It would be the last file listed on the page.
I would like to try the first independent driver well.

Wireless network adapter cannot connect to the wireless network
When I start my PC HP TouchSmart it does not recognize my wireless network. It says wireless network adapter cannot connect to the wireless network and the details said network adapter "Local network connection * 16 ' does not work properly. The strange thing is that if I leave my computer for a few minutes, then restart it twice, it recognizes the network and starts working. Frustrating is that I have to do this everytime I turn on my computer. It takes at least 10 minutes of starting and restarting my computer before it will recognize my wireless network. Any help?
Go to the website of the manufacturer of your router > make sure you have the latest Firmware in Vista for it.
