Hello

I made an assumption that there is a wireless connection.

If not, please help us to mitigate the "guessing game" factor in the provision of aid and give the relevant details of your computer systems.

------------------------

There is an inherent Catch22 to attempt to repair a computer wireless through wireless. Given that the without wire is not connected to the source, there is no interaction between the wireless source and the Wireless Client and no frame of reference to find what works and what does not.

As a first step, I will temporarily move the computer to a place close to the wireless router and plug with a wire.

When he works with a wire, switch Off the Wireless Security in the router, disconnect the wire and try to make wireless work. This must be done when the computer is always close to the wireless router to compensate for the weak, and or blocked the signal that could be part of the problem in the new suite spot work.

In the computer itself.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

Hello. My problem is that I have an ACER with Windows 7 computer and I've had it for awhile (about a year or more). He never gave me no internet problem until a few days ago, when he started having connection problems. My computer has been without internet since two and a half days. Whenever I try to look for the problem, he tells me that the computer is connected to the router, but that router is not connected to the internet. I tried to restart the modem and the router several times without success. The thing is that, while my computer does not have internet, my cell phone and the computer of my partner (for laptop with Windows 7) do not seem have a problem using the same network of the internet, which makes me believe that the problem is in my computer.

I have a SB5101U of Motorola SURFBoard Cable Modem and a NETGEAR RangeMax 150 wireless router.

My computer uses an Atheros AR5B95 wireless network card. (My partner runs Realtek RTL8188CE wireless adapter)

Would it be a virus or something? Because I've scanned my computer with my antivirus to find something wrong, but it does not yet detect. Please help me and thanks a lot for any help or advice you can give me.

You have McAfee?  If so, see this "criticism" McAfee reviews -

Some customers may experience a loss of network connectivity and/or errors in McAfee Security Center after a recent update

You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.

I had to run their removal of McAfee Development tool a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

I got McAfee, but the connection has started working again on its own so I thought I was clear of problems. However, when I checked it says he was doing routine checks the updates in vain when I told it to do a manually. So stick with McAfee you don't follow their procedure of fix would have upgraded my PC at risk by not updated and, like other McAfee ads have since explained, the application did not refer to its database of threats correctly [and this could explain part of the variability of the symptoms of failure but all involved loss of internet connection]. Actually, I removed McAfee then installed Microsoft Security Essentials rather & my answer IE is faster I knew it [even though I had the Add-ons McAfee disabled for centuries].

  • I got a call from people claiming that there was a problem with the computer.

    Original title: scammed by PCWizards?

A few days ago I received a call from PC assistants saying they were Windows operating system support. They tell me that they have noticed that I had many requests from spam junk that was slowing down my computer. Unfortunately, as I had a big problem with my computer in time, I bit. I was very nervous about it at the time, but since I had so many problems with my computer and that you didn't know what to do, I fell prey to their plot. They talked to me in a 6 month contract for a fee of $99.00. After they have finished the maintenance on my computer, it worked very well, too gullible me thought: maybe they are legitimate.

At the end of the interview I googled their business and came across an article that has been exposed as the crooks and claims that Wizards PC installs a spyware sophisticated by giving them access to the victim's computer remotely.

To reassure myself, I decided to call using my Norton Security System. Their technician checked my computer and found a few things that their technology did not that he should have done; such that no detected restore points, the registry was not cleaned (35 detected registry errors) and it did not remove some software malware browers (toolbars).

On his recommendation, I recalled PC assistants. The first tech I talked didn't seem to know what he was doing, so I hung up with him and sent their support line and ask them to address these problems or I would withdraw the payment from my credit card. Almost immediately after sending the e-mail, another technician called me. Unknowingly, I had all ready filed a dispute with my credit card company. I intend to cancel the service, but I am still concerned by some spyware detected on my computer. What is the best way for me to handle this? How can I get authenic proof that I was definitely scammed and I should report it to the Internet Crime Center? Using my computer for a few basic daily functions, must not be so stressful!  Any constructive guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

    It's a scam.

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

You gave them remote access and if you do Internet banking, contact your bank, explain, and change passwords.

If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

And Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

I've been deflecting calls from people who say there is a problem with my computer, claiming they are "Windows technology department.  A woman comes to call.  She said her name was Fiona and his identification number is 1104.  Call back phone number is 1-866-539-8674.  She was very beautiful, but persistent.  I got his information to call her back.  She said that whenever we get on the Internet, some viruses or damage of some sort gets into our computer.  She wanted to go on the computer right then, and she show me all error messages or something like this.  I said my husband was using the computer and I was in the middle of something, which was true.

I know that we have received an error message that Windows XP is not 'more protected by Microsoft' and basically we should buy a new computer.  Is this related?  What exactly means that Windows XP is no longer supported?

Windows has anyone who receives messages and codes of error for individual computers and pay people to call users and warn them of the disappearance to come computer threats?  Calling us that part just seems unlikely.

Y at - it a Tech Department Windows calling proactively computer users?  I should do in addition to using Norton antivirus or McAfee (or what my husband has on this computer) to protect us from viruses and hackers?

    Thanks for the reply.

  • I got a phone call from a benny edwards who said Microsoft and had found problems with my computer.

    * Original title: defraud my computer

I got a phone call from a benny edwards who said Microsoft had found problems with my computer and the pirates had gotten him. As I have had some problems recently with the computer, I thought it was authentic and fell for it? After a long telephone conversation, he forced me to accept that my Bullguard anti virus and my malware Remover is not enough to protect the computer and forced me to buy a program from Microsoft (this man of course) not microsoft. It supports the remote computer, and then forced me to give him my details, name, address, telephone number and age and of course the fool that I am, my credit card number, the penny dropped when he asked the Envoy of money via western union.  When I told her that I was closing the phone call, he told fort and wiped a number of things from my computer, the computer wasn't sure.  I ran my scanner (twice) bullguard, run my anti malware program, changed my password and order my credit card, is there something more I can do?

To protect yourself, your information and your PC, follow these steps:

    • Change your computer password, change the password on your main email account and change the password for all accounts, including your Bank and credit.
    • Immediately scan your PC with the Microsoft Security Scanner to see if you have the tools malicious/phishing software installed on your PC.
    • As a third step, I recommend that you run the verification of Security Essentials on this page. The check will ensure that the security features in Windows are normally very active and running.
    • Personally, I have a clean Windows installation, because something could have been tampered with.

  • I had to uninstall firefox because it was causing so many problems with my computer. I was using the latest version 18. What is the problem?

I had nothing else problems since I installed the latest version of Firefox version 18. It crashes my computer no matter what I do. Even if I do not use the browser. I uninstalled three times and the problems just seem to be deteriorating. Finally, I uninstalled and it did not reinstall again. I will not use again until the problems are solved. Also, I don't know is that funmoods or whatever it is that has replaced my google home page. I don't like software to decide what services I use. I've been a user of firefox for more than 15 years. I've never had problems like this before. I spent in Safari. It works without interfering with the other tasks I do on my computer. I don't know what version 18 is but the previous version of firefox that I used was perfectly fine. I had no problem whatsoever with it. It seems as if this version has not been tested enough. Also my daughter is having the same problems with his computer and they all started with the new version. So it isn't just me. At least give us the option to revert to the previous version and we ask if we want to improve when a new spell. However, I never had these problems in the past with any version of firefox that I installed. I like the features of firefox, but cannot afford to keep restarting my computer. It seems that firefox is hindering and then hangs up the computer and I can't do anything else even if I do not use it. It seems to stay in the background and just hang up. Please fix this.

The problem is unlikely to have been with Firefox itself. It is much more likely to have been with some software or malware you have inadvertently installed

Installs official Firefox is not bundled with other software. Firefox is customizable and has many extensions of the software you can choose to install but don't have to do anything.

Funmoods is also a malware or at least software which is often hated to see these messages

If you want to reinstall firefox official site:

Then start playback on the malware removal and the toolbar

If you want more advice back again post.

    Hello

You can use the following methods that can help you solve your problem:

Method 1: Put the computer in safe mode and see if the problem persists:
Method 2: I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

  • I'm having a HUGE problem with my computer (Lengthy and detailed)

I have serious problems with my computer and I don't know what to do, it's a very long story, so be prepared. I use Windows Vista Home Premium

-J' have been very frustrated by this virus call "Adware one Step" so I deleted manually, because my Mcafee security has not detected, neither the 'MalwareBytes' or 'HitmanPro.

-With a sigh of relief that I have (hopefully) got rid of the program, I wanted to play this game called roblox. But I received an error

"The application could not initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application"

-Then, after a little research I tried to get the Windows service pack 2 to solve my problems, so I decided to get the Windows Update as well as 19 other important updates. When I try to install the Service Pack, I get the error

    'ERROR_NOT_FOUND 0 X 80070490.

When my updates finished, they are all impossible to install, which resulted in the error 'Code 490. Looked up code490 error, nothing, gone.

-The site of Microsoft, suggested that I have download the system analysis tool in which I did. When it was first downloaded it stop 3/4S the way on the progress bar. And being impatient that I am, I forced closed and refused to work, so I deleted and got another, and now the progress bar... doesnt move at all. Strangely if it ends after the installation of 2-3 hours without the moving bar at all.

-So the thought of my problems are solved, I have re - download the Service Pack and once again failed.

Basically, after I tried all the solutions for the most part they gave me to try to fix the service pack and nothing came. I tried CCleaner and nothing. I'm now desperate beyond this point.

-Another solution was to do a 'sfc/scannow' in the command prompt, I do it and the report comes with 1 corrupted file.

"The details are included in the convertible bonds. Journal windir\Logs\CBS\CBS. Newspaper. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.

Not really but do understand, he moved.

-A final solution that I began to resort to the had to reinstall windows vista home premium again. But demand for the solution that I choose the 'upgrade' choice, but has been grayed out not because of my version of windows is quite recent.

Yet once, did not. I'm in a tight jam. My last resort is a wipe to CLEAN the computer and reinstall all programs. The problem is, I don't really know what important programs to save, because my father was the one who set up this computer at the time, and I had no idea on how to put it together after a clean reboot.

Unfortunately my father is no longer here, so I'm completely alone with this problem. Help, please.

What application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?  Who were these applications that run in the background when you tried to install SP2?

A (another) Norton or McAfee application has already been installed on the computer (for example, a free trial version which is preinstalled when you bought it)?

It is a symptom of a corrupt user profile.  When Windows detects a corrupted profile, he creates a new temporary profile and continues to log.  Whatever you do, do not save critical files under this new profile.  Recovery is fairly simple and involves the creation of a new user and moving files over to the new user.  Moreover, sometimes a 'chkdsk' or 'System Restore' operation will restore the original profile.  The following articles describe how to recover from a corrupted profile.  Choose the one that suits you best.

legitimate programs for removal. You should use this tool very carefully and only after
    you have exhausted other options.

Original title: my computer was "rebuilt" with all the new parts June 2011. Logging on his shot and miss it may stay on or shut down and restart. I have this message when I turned on my pc this afternoon:

    Corrupted error report.

Unfortunately, the error you report submitted is corrupted and cannot be analyzed. Reports "damaged errors are rare. They can be caused by hardware or software problems and usually indicate a serious problem with your computer.

When I turned on pc today is showed a blue screen and can something on a disc because the disc did not work properly?

I paid for all the new parts for my computer and the computer technician has assured me that all the work was completed and correct. I bought the power supply (1) mother board, cards (2) 1 TB of memory. (2) hard drives 1 TB. (1) card reader and other elements appearing on my Computer Geek Bill.

My music files are no longer mp3 but .oma. He/the Tech added its own files and records of music of World War II. These game. The drive D drive or slave who held my music, he said he wiped clean.

I need to know these error reports will completely close my pc and all the information will be lost?

    Hi satindoll11233,

I recommend you to disable the auto reboot system error (this option prevents Windows to reboot automatically if a Windows error to fail) of the startup options safe mode to know the exact error message or error code originally this problem.

computer automatically starts in safe mode without prompting, a problem with your computer can prevent Windows to start normally

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

    Good luck and I hope this helps. Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.
