Internet - unable to connect to the proxy serer connection issues

I have two problems, which could well be related.  Equipped with Vista.  Firefox running, all of a sudden a site using java wouldn't work.  I tried the automatic installation of Java, it has failed.  I tried the manual installation and said "Setup cannot continue with the current internet connection settings" (which is not one of the error messages shown on the help that is aimed at page).

I decided to try to do it through IE.  It is not connect to the web at all (not Opera).  When I tried the link diagnose, I think once it says "unable to connect to the proxy server" well this time he said www.google.com is not set up to establish a connection on the port world wide web (http) service on this computer.

Can you help me with, or ideally for both - if they are not conneccted - problem.  Thank you.

Hello
Let me assure you that I am on the same page here.
1. you can get online via Firefox, but not with any other browser?
What happens if you try to connect without a browser... just use the connection to connect before you open a browser?
Was there anything added/removed before it began?
Have you run an anti-virus and anti-malware scans?

Also try:

hope this helps,

I have an ASUS F3S laptop series running on Vista.

I have an another old laptop which works fine using the local network.

You must re-create the network connection Wireless LAN (remove the current which is probably set to use the mini port WWAN and create a new one) and specify the LAN port during installation.  This should solve the problem. Check out the following articles for some detailes, suggestions, troubleshooting instructions and general information that may be useful.  Pay special attention to how to remove a wireless/network connection as it differs from a regular connection, and if not done correctly can continue to exist when you think he's gone (and the system it shows same gone but is not).

If you were using Firefox 3.6. 4 or higher, a new preference has been added to the preferences of the proxy connection settings in tools > Options > Advanced Options > > tab network - connection = settings = use system proxy settings

  • I'm unable to use windows applications in my college. Is it because of the proxy connection?

I'm unable to use windows applications in my college. Is it because of the proxy connection? Each app says I'm not connected to a network. Please let me know how to encounter this problem.

    Hey Brad,

    1. What is the accurate and complete error message you get?
    2. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

There could be various reasons why you will not be able to connect to the Windows store.

I suggest to disable the proxy server and check.

    (a) press the Windows key and the R key to open the prompt to run . Type inetcpl.cpl in the run prompt and press to enter.
    (b) in the 'Internet Options' window that opens, click on the tab "connections" at the top.
    (c) click on 'network settings' at the bottom of the section "connections."
    (d) if the "Proxy Server" box is marked with a check, click it to uncheck/disable.
    (e) click on 'Ok' to close the window "local area network (LAN) settings".
    (f) click on 'Ok' to close the 'Internet Options'.

I also recommend a complete analysis using the antivirus program installed on the computer or by using the Security Scanner from Microsoft that this problem can also occur by malware.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Safety Scanner WARNING: There could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

  • Unable to connect to the internet to check updates

According to Oracle® Fusion Middleware for Oracle WebCenter 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1) Developer Guide, I download the update of jdeveloper. However, jdeveloper will display error:

If you are behind a firewall or use a proxy to access web pages, check your proxy setting s below and click OK to try again.

  • Unable to connect to the internet update version

I've updated to the latest version 35, but since then, the browser seems unable to connect to the internet. I thought it was my firewall that was blocking the program. I did what was suggested to work around this problem, that is, to remove my firewall and then add it again. But it does not solve the problem. There is nothing wrong with my internet, how am I be able to connect to internet by using IE or Chrome. And I was able to connect to the internet in the previous version of Firefox. Unfortunately, the new updated version is not allow me to. Have no solution?

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Since the installation of the latest version of 4.0b12, I am unable to connect to any https through a proxy site. Connection works if no proxy is involved, with the proxy, I get a message like "proxy refuses the connection". Thank you for your answer

I am connected to the network of the client and I should use a proxy.
I successfully authenticate to the proxy and I try to access https://mail.google.com.
I get a message that the proxy refuses the connection.
I noticed that this happens with all https sites.
If I connect with my mobile internet stick without proxy, I am able to connect: the combination of proxy and https is a failure.
Other computers on the same network with different browsers can connect to https via the proxy.

I work with the development of Firefox on this team. As far as I know, they seem to think that there are 2 or 3 different with the same symptoms or very similar problems, all involving proxies. They think that they have set their all for RC1.

Right now, it seems that we just want to test an early version.

    You can get that here:

    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or.../Firefox-4.0b13pre.en-US.Win32.installer.exe

Install this somewhere (not in your current installation directory), quit all instances of Firefox and try it. I would like to know if it works.
