Internet via Tunnel VPN Client Access
Hello
We use the Cisco VPN Client to connect to our router CISCO1921 and want to go out again on the same interface to the internet. We have set up the connection with scurity IOS package, have no split tunneling - then the customer is obliged with its default gateway to our router - also, we pushed our local dns server on the client and he gets the results of dns. Now, I think we need is out with some sort of NAT, because our client has a private IP address of the IPSec Client pool. For the moment we have no NAT inside/outside, because we only use official IP address in - and outside (use of the data room).
-Is it possible to get the NAT function passes to the same entry with crypto_map IPSec user interface and out to the internet?
-It is safer for this set up with vrf?
-Some has a link to example of it configurations?
Thank you!

Hello
For building you have to create the political map and the loopback interface, have you come across this link below?, follow the example in this link.

Cannot ping via the VPN client host when static NAT translations are used
Hello, I have a SRI 3825 configured for Cisco VPN client access.
There are also several hosts on the internal network of the static NAT translations have a services facing outwards.
Everything works as expected with the exception that I cannot ping hosts on the internal network once connected via VPN client that is internal IP addresses have the static NAT translations in external public addresses, I ping any host that does not have static NAT translation.
For example, in the example below, I cannot ping 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2, but I can ping to the internal interface of the router, and any other host on the LAN, I can ping all hosts in the router itself.
Any help would be appreciated.

Impossible to access them Internert through the split tunneling VPN client.
I divided tunnel configured on a PIX 515. The remote VPN client connects to the PIX very well and can ping hosts on the internal network, but cannot access the Internet. Am I missing something? My config as shown below.
In addition, I don't see the routes on the VPN client via statistics (screenshot below)
All opinions are appreciated.

INTERNET VIA REMOTE VPN ACCESS
We have a customer who wants to route all internet traffic to their remote sites of their internet connection to Headquarters. In other words, when users connect to corporate headquarters using Cisco VPN client on their PC, we need to route all internet traffic on through the firewall of the headquarters. Head office is running a ASA place all the VPN configuration. We have a number of virtual private network set up for this customer but would welcome suggestions as to the best way to configure this particular step.
Thank you very much.
Hello
This looks like back or Hairpining for VPN clients, so they could access the Internet through the tunnel.
In which case it is a ASA 8.2 or earlier:
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface
NAT (outside) 1 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0---> range of IP addresses assigned to VPN clients.
Global 1 interface (outside)
In which case it is an ASA 8.3 or later:
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface
network vpn-pool objects
subnet 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
dynamic NAT interface (outdoors, outdoor)
!
On the configuration of VPN:
mypolicy group policy attributes
Split-tunnel-policy tunnelall
!
tunnel-group mytunnel General-attributesMyPolicy defaul-group-policy
!
Benefits:
1-Internet access is controlled by the ASA.
Disadvantages:
1 Internet connection of the ASA is severely affected, it will be used by VPN clients to access the Internet.
Alternative solution:
Send all traffic to a Layer 3 internal device or a server that has an external Internet connection, so the ASA forwards all traffic to this device, if this device is able to perform web filterting advance as the unit of Microsoft IIS, then you would have a powerful way to control your users and that they access, thus preventing sites such undesirable sites for adults and animation.
To do this, all you need is:
Route within 0 0 192.168.10.1 tunnele---> where the 192.168.10.1 corresponds to the internal device responsible for providing Internet.
* Remember that this device must have an external connection for Internet access, not on the SAA.
Let me know.
Portu.
Please note any workstation that will be useful.

VPN site to site access via a VPN client
Hi all
From our headquarters, we use a vpn site-to-site to connect to another site and it works great.
We have just configured the VPN client on our headquarters, remote VPN user can access the LAN in the seat.
We need the remote user can also access the LAN on the other site, but it does not work.
The site to site VPN and VPN client are configured on the same device, using even outside the interface.
Vpn client address pool is already included in the address that is allowed to go through the site to site VPN.
We would like to know if it is possible to access the site to site VPN, connecting to the VPN client and when the architecture is as above?
in the case where we use different devices and different internet connection for client VPN and site to site VPN, we can access the other site by the remote user VPN LAN?
Kind regards
Since you already have 10.13.0.0/16 in your site to site crypto ACL, which already includes the pool vpn so you need not configure it specifically.
You are missing the following command:
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface
ACL split tunnel should be standard ACL as follows:
access list ACL-CL-VPN allow 10.13.0.0 255.255.0.0
access list ACL-CL-VPN allow 10.14.0.0 255.255.248.0

Remote access via NAT VPN client
I currently have a PIX506e configured to provide access to the Cisco VPN Clients remote vpn. A single client can connect successfully and have access to the planned network. However, as soon as I connect an additional client to the firewall from the same place (the two addresses are translated under the same address) the two tunnels will stop working or could not connect.
Is the problem that I face, because two customers have the same address public after NAT, or is - it something else? Is there a way to get around this?
Hello
A lot of THAT NAT will not work if you use ESP.
The solution for this is to allow NAT - t on PIX and VPN client.
PIX:
The following command active NAT - T (for codes plus late 6.3)
ISAKMP nat-traversal
The VPN Client:
On the Transport tab, under the tab "Enable Transport Tunneling" & select "IPSec over UDP (NAT/PAT).
HTH
Kind regards

Files shared via PPTP VPN remote access/desktop
Hello
I just bought the RV180W so I can connect to my desktop wherever you are a VPN client. The two things I need to do while I'm connected like a VPN client must be able to access my files on my desktop and be able to remote desktop as well. I have Win7 on all my computers. Ideally, I would like to do on the PPTP VPN connection, but if this is not possible so I can try out the software Cisco QuickVPN.
I activated the PPTP on my router and created a user account. I was also able to successfully establish the remote connection. While I was logged as a PPTP VPN client, I was able to access the Internet and my configuration page of the router, which tells me that the connection is good. However, I was not able to discover my desktop label my network PC in Win7 and I was able to remote desktop. I keep my desktop PC on all the time and he will never sleep. I haven't created any strategy of connection, but maybe that's the problem. Please let me know if you know a solution.
Thank you!
Mustafa greetings,
Thanks for writing.
Have you access the router configuration using the public IP address or local IP address when you are connected to the PPTP tunnel? You can test the tunnel connecting and then ping the local IP address of the router or a computer.
You want to make sure that the addresses that you configure for the PPTP users are not incompatible with your DHCP addresses. You need not configure any policy with PPTP.
In addition, in order to access files through the tunnel, you must map the drive by using the IP address. For example, \\192.168.1.101\MyFiles
Once we verify your tunnel, access issues can be troubleshooted. If you have any problems, consider giving us a call at 1-866-606-1866. We will be happy to help you.
Kind regards

Connected to the ASA via the "VPN Client" software, but cannot ping devices.
I have a network that looks like this:
I successfully connected inside the ASA via a software "Client VPN" tunnel network and got an IP address of 10.45.99.100/16.
I am trying to ping the 10.45.99.100 outside 10.45.7.2, but the ping fails (request timed out).
On the SAA, including the "logging console notifications" value, I notice the following message is displayed:
"% 305013-5-ASA: rules asymmetrical NAT matched for flows forward and backward; "Connection for icmp src, dst outside: 10.45.99.100 inside: 10.45.7.2 (type 8, code 0) rejected due to the failure of reverse path of NAT.
I have a vague feeling that I'm missing a NAT rule of course, but not all. What did I miss?
Here is my configuration of ASA: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=ad6p1Zac
Hello
You seem to have a configured ACL NAT0 but is not actually in use with a command "nat"
You would probably need
NAT (inside) 0-list of access inside_nat0_outside
He must manage the NAT0
Personally, I would avoid using large subnets/networks. You probably won't ever have host behind ASA who would fill / 16 subnet mask.
I would also keep the pool VPN as a separate network from LANs behind ASA. The LAN 10.45.0.0/16 and 10.45.99.100 - 200 are on the same network.

Another problem with the configuration of Cisco VPN Client access VPN Site2site
We have a Cisco ASA 5505 at our CORP. branch I configured the VPN Site2Site to our COLO with a Juniper SRX220h, to another site works well, but when users access the home Cisco VPN client, they cannot ping or SSH through the Site2Site. JTACS contacted and they said it is not on their end, so I tried to contact Cisco TAC, no support. So here I am today, after for the 3 days (including Friday of last week) of searching the Internet for more than 6 hours per day and try different examples of other users. NO LUCK. The VPN client shows the route secure 10.1.0.0
Sorry to post this, but I'm frustrated and boss breathing down my neck to complete it.

LAN ASA 5505 VPN client access issue
Hello
I'm no expert in ASA and routing so I ask support the following case.
There is a (running on Windows 7) Cisco VPN client and an ASA5505.
The objectives are client can use the gateway remote on SAA for Skype and able to access devices in SAA within the interface.
The Skype works well, but I can't access devices in the interface inside through a VPN connection.
Can you please check my following config and give me any advice to fix NAT or VPN settings?

Installation of VM with VPN client access to the network local provents
What is the best approach for the connection to the VPN in the following scenario?
We want to install VM for our projects as VPN client networking (using the cisco vpn client). In many cases the VPN profile that is configured by the client is configured to prevent access to the local network, but rather the tunnels all through the VPN.
I tried the NAT and Bridged networks and once you connect to the VPN client, the conectitivy of the virtual machine is limited to the VMWare console. SSH and other connections no longer work.
Thanks for any idea.
I'd VNC - that's what I use for a VM XP that uses the client VPN SecuRemote CheckPoint blocking the same way (wisely) off incoming traffic when the connection is made to the other end of the VPN.
Just paste lines similar to the following in your .vmx file when the virtual machine is shut down:
RemoteDisplay.vnc.enabled = TRUE
RemoteDisplay.vnc.port = '5910 '.
RemoteDisplay.vnc.password = 'somepassword '.
RemoteDisplay.vnc.keymap = 'uk '.Note that you point your VNC client software on the IP address (and port of your .vmx file) to your server 2.0, not the virtual machine host. Use a different port for each computer virtual you need simultaneous to access.

Vpn client access to the DMZ host
I'm having a problem where my customers who establish a VPN with Pix 515 cannot access hosts on the DMZ. VPN clients can access hosts inside network without any problems. I discovered that when I make a route to trace from a client computer that has established a VPN connection to a host on the DMZ, he tries to go through the default gateway of computers instead of the client from cisco. Any ideas?
More information:
When a client connects with the PIX over the VPN, it is given the internal DNS servers and the DNS Server internal, we have a host entry that says "www.whatever.com" 2.2.2.2 (this is the DMZ host). Customers within the network can access this host with problems, it's just the customers who establish a VPN connection. But the VPN Clients can access "www.whatever.com" using the public ip address. The problem is that if remove us the entry from the host on the DNS server so that the name of "www.whatever.com" decides the public ip address customers inside will not be able to access the DMZ host. The names and IP numbers are not real just using those as an example.
Any help would be apperciated. Thank you
You'll currently have something like this in your config file:
sheep allowed ip access-list
NAT (inside) 0 access-list sheep
This tells the PIX not to NAT any traffic from inside interface, which is to go to a VPN client. You need the same thing but for the DMZ interface, then add the following:
sheep allowed ip access-list
NAT 0 access-list sheep (dmz)
Who should you get.

Router RV042 VPN Client access from Linux?
Hello world!
I have a question for the creators and users of RV042.
Is there a way to communicate with a Linux box for access on a RV042 VPN client? I'm trying to do that and play with the settings, but I am not able to connect. I tried profiles in OpenVPN, OpenSwan, kVPNc and others. For the most part, my problem is that all of these software require too many parameters and other certificates that only types that you can create on a RV042 (.pem files).
Please let me know if any of you were able to connect to a Linux box for on a RV042 VPN.
Also, I would ask the CISCO/Linksys people why they provide only a Windows client for this option? "Small companies" are devices not windows based commercial devices!
Thank you!
Zoli
Good day Zoli,
Unfortunately, there is not any Quickvpn client available for Linux and Macintosh which work together with the Small Business/Small Business routers Pro.
If I share your dismay that we do not formally use Quickvpn with all Linux distributions or any Mac OS, we have seen limited success with solutions that allow the use of third party VPN Clients when used in conjunction with our routers.
I'm curious to know whether or not you have explored Shrew Soft VPN Client (a simple Google search will yield results). I'm currently taking a look and to experiment a little bit on my end to see if there is anything we can get to work. If you can, please let me know what you use distribution, what version and a list of all customers third-party vpn that you used.
Personally, I'd love to see the development of a guide that we as support engineers to help all of our Linux-savvy customer.
Thanks for your patience!

SSLVPN via Cisco VPN Client (simultaneous use)
Hi, I'm working on a new show: 1) connect to the first network with Cisco VPN client. (2) to leave this connection, road to another Cisco SSLVPN device and perform a SSL - VPN connection. Has anyone tried this before? Are there problems, workarounds? Thanks in advance!
I do it all the time without any problems.

Hi I have a question.
I hope one of you can help me.
My problem is that I want to the internet using VPN tunnenl.
I have a VPN connection with my ASA 5505 at home.
I am able to access the entire inside of the devices. But I'm unable to access the internet.
is it possible the internet using the internet connection I have at home.
i'f played a bit with the following commands:
same-security-traffic permits intera-interface &
same-security-traffic permit intera-interface & split-tunnel-policy tunnelall

ASDM version: 7.1 (3)
Greetings
Palermo
the client that is connected via VPN you are able to ping 4.2.2.2?
If Yes, if you issue a nslookup google.com is the resolved name?
If this isn't the case, then I think that the following command highlighted is the problem:
