iPAQ 210 random password prompt

I have an iPAQ 210, requesting a password same offen if in the lock settings ' invites if unsused device for ' is uchecked and no password is defined. An empty password is not successful and and sometimes soft reset allows you back in. I tried several resets hard but never get a green 'clean boot' reading on reboot. Don't know what to try next?

  • Firefox master password prompt appears randomly

    Whenever I open Firefox, password master prompt appears randomly in 30 seconds. Sometimes, I always sit on the home screen when I get to the command prompt.

    I tried updating Firefox, reinstall Firefox, I turned my requirement of password master on and out, rebooted the computer... nothing seems to work.

    I would like to either invite him immediately, as soon as I open my browser, or when it is really necessary, as when I open a login page. Not the current, apparently random aspect that disturbs me in the middle of browsing the web.

    This bug is so boring that it's a deal breaker for me. It is particularly annoying when I start typing something, and then the password master guest appears without warning and takes the focus of cursor with her. I have to stop what I'm doing, confront the master password prompt, and then go back to what I do.

    In the meantime, I switched to Chrome wire, which is to serve my needs very well, but I would go back to Firefox if I can solve this problem.

    Hi Will,

    Using Firefox Sync?

    In order to secure your login information from synchronization, you must unlock your master password before that Firefox can synchronize.

    ESC - F1 puts me right in the small part of Page 1 of the ACPI BIOS configuration. I know the supervisor password! So, how do to a password prompt that will allow me in the two pages of the configuration of the BIOS.

    I tried F12 at startup to enter the boot options on the Toshiba splash screen, but it does not work.

    I think you hold a key in the market. Try holding the "INS" key to get the supervisor password to appear prompt.

    Hello I have kinda the same problem as above:

    -> When this is pressed, the prompt for the password is not displayed
    -> Impossible to recover from cd

    After working with this problem for some time, I found that when computer shuts properly, the next log does not display the password prompt.  If the computer is turned off via a second 5 press power button, the password prompt is displayed the next time the computer is turned on.

    I had an old image of the operating system on a hard drive (HD replaced with solid state) that I used to "restore".  The question that has happened again a few days late.  I can't keep backup/restore all the time because it is very tedious (there are a lot of changing data on this computer a duty to back up like that all the time isn't a realistic solution)

    It can be the cause of this problem? I want to solve this problem without having to recreate the image and restore new data. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    Were there any recent changes or updates made on the computer?

  • Unable to connect - lack of password prompt

    Hello..

    I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 with SP1 and every now and then I encounter a weird problem when you try to connect.  Windows starts to load and then the Welcome screen is displayed with the photos of user names and on behalf of users.  So far, so good but occasionally after clicking on one of the users, the password prompt box does not appear.  I'm just facing a welcome screen.  The mouse is still on the screen but ctrl-alt-del will not work.  I left the machine for 5-10 minutes, but nothing seems to change, and finally, I have to restart.

    After the reboot, the login box appears and I am able to connect as usual.

    After checking the event log, I can see the next entry after each occurrence of the problem:
    Event ID 7022 - ESET service service hung on starting.

    ESET provide a KB page, which explains that the problem may be caused by the presence of an exceptional scan location that is unavailable.  The resolution is to remove that exception.  Article is two years old and they say that the problem will be resolved in future versions (I use the latest version of ESET Smart Security).

    The problem does occur only a few times a week, but it would be nice to find a solution if possible.

    Any ideas please?

    I have the impression that the ESET service belongs to a third-party product. If so check the forum ESET or helpdesk may give you some clues.

  • Creating a statue in gold that will generate random passwords for each deployment and how to recover passwords

    Hello

    New to 5.5 VDC and I hope that it is easy for you all the gurus.  After you create a statue in gold to say windows 2008 server and presentation in the public catalog how configure you to generate passwords random administrator when visitors in each of the ORG VDC wants to use it.  Now, I know you sysprep the OS in advance, and then when it starts, you can run the configuration wizard, or you can even define an answer file for things like the password key and administrator of the permit but y at - there a better way?  Having to go through the console and through a cloud of today technologies Assistant seems a bit old fashioned for me so I'm hoping its just something I missed narrowly in the configurations.

    The goal is simple... a customer deploys a VM and when it starts it is all ready to go so that no 2 VM This statue gold doesn't have the same credentials.  Somehow, they are provided with a generated random password to access the start new systems.  Amazon AWS for this using the keys if you deploy a virtual computer, you don't get invited to set a password... instead you can use your portal and get the password generated for you.  Their VM deployment and are ready to go without any additional configuration steps from the user at all.  How this is possible on a Director vcloud solution (or even at all).  I would like my customers to deploy from model, receive or access their new password and ready to go.  There may be a way to query the DB somehow and pull the password in this way?  And while I'm focused on windows operating system at the present time, it would be very happy to be able to do the same for root users on UNIX based as well as models.  Many big public cloud providers can provide their customers with this so I know there is a way but many also use things like openstack cloudstack or not vcloud Director.  Also I'm not familiar with the scripts so if you can get this kind of solution using scripts I'd appreciate some information or links that may describe step by step how to achieve and I will be happy to learn.  Thanks in advance

    UNIX systems are supposed to work.  And I know most the time they do.  (IE Redhat / Cent seems to work very well, however I have seen a few posts on this forum where a specific verion distribution may not work correctly.)

    Where to find the password.  Once the virtual machine boots (if the option to customize comments has been set at random) - the password will be on screen customization of comments; beside the selection of radio "Random."

    The API also has a way to get the password in case you need to expose in a different method.  (You can get it from section guestCustomize to a virtual computer in the restAPI thus).

  • How can I get a supervisor password prompt to appear so I can configure the BIOS?

    I have a T60 that will not allow the configuration of the BIOS. It is locked and says to see the administrator.

    When I press F1 to access the bios a poweron password prompt appears. I press on enter (cause no password) and I am stuck in the BIOS. But it won't let me edit anything (read-only). How to enable the configuration?

    The power on password prompt is the same as the supervisor password, or vice versa if you wish. Have you tried to enter the password for the supervisor to the command prompt?

  • random password generator?

    Hello

    I would like a "password gererate" button that fills one filed with an alphanumeric passwrod of 8 characters or more.  Wildcards would be good as well.  Can someone help me with a script that allows you to create random passwords?  I understand also - it cannot be truly random, as a duplicate response could be created whenever 1 233 432 or something else and it's OK it would be fairly random.  Thank you very much.

    strPassword.substr (), created some problems... in something so it might return more than one character at a time... I don't know why but it was the problem of duplicates... so I changed it to charAt()

    Also sometimes it was possible, that you have only length 6 or 7 instead of 8 all the time... I had to add (i - ;) if boChar was true)

    Now, it should work perfectly!

    var strPassword = "";

    Set up the length of the password

    var intLength = 8;

    for (var i = 0; i)< intlength;="">

    var random = Math.floor (Math.random () * 150);

    If ((aléatoire > = 35 && <= 38)="" ||="" (random="=" 33)||="" (random="=" 42)="" ||="" (random="=" 95)="" ||="" (random="">aléatoire = 48 && <= 57)="" ||="" (random="">aléatoire = 63 && <= 78)||="" (random="">aléatoire = 80 && <= 91)="" ||="" (random="=" 93)="" ||="" (random="">aléatoire = 97 && <= 110)="" ||="" (random="">aléatoire = 112 && aléatoire))<= 122)){="" insert="" your="" password="" in="" the="" string="">

    Store characters in the value

    var strChar = string.fromCharCode(0)) (random);

    Initially, character is not contained in the string

    boChar var = false;

    for (var z = 0; z)< strpassword.length;="">

    If (strPassword.charAt (z) == strChar) {}

    The character is contained in the string, the value is now

    boChar = true;

    }

    }

    If (! boChar) {}

    If the character is not contained in the string, the character is added to the string, otherwise it is not added

    strPassword += strChar;

    } else {}

    i-- ;

    }

    } else {}

    i-- ;

    }

    }

  • How to create a procedure to change random passwords

    Hello

    I wasn't able to find any clue.

    Could you help me?

    Thank you

    Welcome to the forum.

    change randomly the passwords for all users in a database.

    All users? Including SYS/SYSTEM? I hope not...

    But you can use DBMS_RANDOM. STRING and ALL_USERS and dynamic SQL.

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B19306_01/AppDev.102/b14261/dynamic.htm#LNPLS01101

    (easy to find when you do a quick search for http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/homepage or http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/homepage)

    DBMS_RANDOM. CHAIN can give you a random password easily:

    select dbms_random.string('x', 10)
    from   dual
    connect by level <= 10;

    Zo, you could do something like:

    begin
      for rec in ( select t.username
                   ,      dbms_random.string('x', 10) new_pass
                   from   all_users t
                  -- where  t.username not in (...)
                  -- or
                  -- where  t.username in (...)
                 )
      loop
        --execute immediate ' alter user '||rec.username||' identified by '||rec.new_pass;
        dbms_output.put_line ('New password for user '||rec.username||' = '||rec.new_pass);
      end loop;
    end;
    /

    You will have to fill in the where clause.
    I also commented on the dynamic modify the statement of the user, since I don't know if you really want to reset the DDT for all users.
    Also, rather than use dbms_output.put_line to verify the new password, you can insert them into a table or spool the output to a file.

  • Crash at startup when opening bookmark: Bookmark menu covers general password prompt

    Firefox asks a general password by using a drop-down window when you open a page with a section opening session, presumably for an auto-fill. (It is annoying and I could get rid of him, but that's another story.) My home page has a login section, so that the prompt. But when I try to choose a bookmark page, and if so do I get the message, the bookmarks menu covers the guest. Nothing that I don't dissipate the bookmarks menu, clicking on off of the menu, choose the item of menu, or even just by typing the password. I have to restart, sometimes requiring "force quit" of the activity monitor. I automatically delete my story when I leave. Seems quite obscure that it might be a bug...
