I did a hard reset to return to the factory settings and give it to my husband when I got a new clear pda. But it has lost much of its programs 'factory '. I can not all photos/videos on it, the music and the card reader is not no longer works. I don't know where to even start. I changed the name back to mine and did a synchronization so that all my information are returned on it, by copying all my backup of my backup file info (I'm now on Snow Leopard) on an old machine running Tiger and done here, a synchronization that has restored to the State it was before the hard reset... all the files were there... but still no photos or card. He is as he sees the card, but it indicates 0 space is available and it's a 1 GB card that is empty.

I solved the problem. I have re-installed the card reader. It would then "see" the map, but still wouldn't let me write anything for her... Although the map showed by the amount of data that the data was actually on the map, the Palm still was not see it. I do not have to take the card to the Palm when I did the hard reset and in some sort the SD card has been corrupted or messed up partitions. I couldn't reformat the card while in the Palm because the Palm was not able to recognize in all. I have taken, use the disk utilities and deleted from the SD card, put it back in the Palm and was able to reformat the card. It worked fine after that.

  • IPhone SE lights not after an appearance at the screen frozen, faded and an attempt to hard reset.

I just took the new smartphone Iphone SE in April 2016. It worked perfectly fine for the months that I had it until last night. I was recording playing me the guitar, when I put the phone down with the camera open for a few seconds. When I went to get the phone upwards, the screen was frozen and colors have been melted. The multicolored lines appeared as well. I tried to close the application by pressing the home button, and when I tried to press the sleep button to access the lock screen, the phone went black. When I went to press the sleep button to access the lock screen, the phone opens the same screen frozen, multicolored as before. I panicked and hard reset the phone. I turn on is no longer the phone. No apple logo appears, as well as logos 'connect to Itunes '. I tried to restore the phone to factory via Itunes, but it was without result.

Surprisingly, when I went to restore the phone, the second time, serial number has changed from a game of numbers and letters invalid "s/o," as if Itunes is no longer permitted to detect it as an iPhone. In addition, the phone is now considered as a completely new system on Itunes, which I don't know is normal.

Your phone is not hacked and all the malware only you could catch is malicious cookies in Safari or other browsers that are removed easily by clearing their cache. I suspect you have a hardware problem, nothing more, that should solve the Apple store.

Hello. There is a problem on the IPhone s 5 - after reset, the display flashes on the sides for 10 minutes, then the flashing stops. And the problem does not appear again until they do not use a Hard Reset (Power + Home).

The phone is new (5 days). It's a wedding?

If you encounter this flicker, then the next troubleshooting step is to restore from a backup. If the behavior persists after the restore, then the last step is the factory restore. If after the factory restore and adding no additional content, you see always this problem, then you must make an appointment at the Genius Bar to the nearest Apple store or service provider authorized Apple to have the material examined. If the behavior goes after the factory restore, then sync again your content manually, without using the backup. It seems to me it's corrupted content in the backup.

  • How to make than a Hard reset on the iPhone 6 s

I would like to know how to do a hard reset on my iPhone 6 s. can someone guide me through this?

What do you mean by a hard reset? This term is not the troubleshooting steps. There is no reboot, reset, restore from backup, restore to factory. A reset here is the sleep/wake and home together buttons until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. No data is assigned to this procedure.

I lost the signal on my iPhone so I decided to do a hard reset and now the power button at home instead of turn off in the traditional way and realized that this one will go out with the new Touch ID. This can be a problem if ever, the camera freezes and doesn't go out eith the standard power button.

The procedure for the 7 and 7Plus is to use the button On / Off and Volume button. The procedure remains the same.

When starting after a successful boot & use, the PC is stuck on the startup screen that is black with the logo blue & white HP in the middle and "press ESC for the start menu" at the bottom left. I have to perform a hard reset to get a normal startup. Everything works fine. I stop the PC from the start menu. At the next startup the PC hangs at the HP splash screen. A hard reset solves the problem, but the problem occurred on & repeatedly.

Problem was solved by uninstalling a number of HP programs! Unfortunately I have lost the paper on which I wrote exactly what programs I uninstalled. If you find this issue that may arise on your notrbook, try to uninstall the HP programs

  • How to perform a hard reset Hardware/Software problems

Troubleshooting hardware and software with a Hard Reset

Recently, I have been see a large number of issues that can be resolved, or at least try to be solved with a hard reset. A hard reset is one of the major steps in troubleshooting for a wide variety of issues. Issues such as a none responsive, computer keyboard do not start properly, software frozen, etc.

    Why a hard reset works:

By performing a hard reset, you must remove all power from the computer. This will not occur when you restart or shut down the computer. Even by removing the battery briefly, there may be still some electricity stored in capacitors. When you do the hard reset it deletes the last drop of power from the computer. This clears all the RAM and basically force the computer to re-establish a connection between the BIOs and hardware. It will solve some problems wobbly a majority of the time, and therefore, why it is a great troubleshooting step base.

If this does not resolve the problem, you are seen be sure to create a new thread and lists all the troubleshooting steps you have tried and also to give a detailed explanation on the issue that you are experiencing.

  • Dell XPS 12 - will not start / turns on after hard reset

Last night I was with my XPS w12 in laptop mode on battery and he finally went down to 7% of the capacity.  At this point, it turns off the display and I moved my office to connect the power adapter (thinking it would simply turn the display when there was enough power...  The screen never came back (I waited 15-20 minutes), but the battery has been recharged.  At that time, I tried a hard reset by holding the power button for 5 to 10 seconds.

When I tried to turn it on, nothing happened.  No backlit keyboard, no screen, just the fan.  The light never came the switch either. So I tried an another hard reset with the same results.  I even tried to turn it on with the "D" button held down for on board diagnostics and got nothing more than the start of the fan.

I thought it might be an overheating problem, so I let it set for an hour and tried again - none other than the fan. It seems that the laptop does not pass the initial diagnosis and not even up to the point where the bios starts to load.

I really thought that my cell phone was dead and ready for use.  I took it in the office the next day so I could call Dell Support Pro. Just for fun, I plugged with the AC adapter and tried to turn it on - viola!  It started working again.

I had this problem once before, and he began to work after 2-3 resets hard. I was working on a proposal when the laptop went down. I tried reset hard over a period of 4 hours with no result. It baffles me why it start OK the next day morning.

I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.  I am running the A07 BIOS (the most common) and my 12 XPS is configured with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB SSD with an i7 and Intel wireless card.

Any suggestions on this diagnosis? The hardest part is then if fails, the failure is total - you are unable to diagnosis. When she comes back, all right, and there is than any event in the event log that relate to the failure.

OK - I narrowed down it to the following:

When the laptop is "asleep", it will finally in power mode. It seems that connect a power adapter for the laptop at this point will enter a State of confusion, when the button is pressed, the laptop fan turns on but no light on the power button or on the keyboard – the screen remains blank.  Laptop fan works (it is very quiet - he must hold the phone to your ear to hear it).

I don't know if the cause is a low battery or if the issue is simply with the State of the CPU to power down.  All I know is that when it happens, if I disconnect the power adapter and press and hold the power button until the fan of the laptop turns off, the hard reset allows him to come back normally.  If you leave the adapter attached, it will charge the battery but will not allow the laptop start.

I said this experiment several times with the same result every time. I'm guessing that there is a bug in the BIOS that defines an error state that are resolved with the associated power Board. Do the hard reset without the adapter seems reliable to fix the problem.

  • Digitizer of T2 frozen after the soft, hot and hard resets. Cannot have to calibrate at all.

Sometimes my T2 must be recalibrated. I downloaed DigiFix a few months ago and it seemed to help a little. I hot sync my data last night and everything was fine. This morning I couldn't tap my screen to access anything whatsoever. I tried to thoroughly clean the edge of the screen, gently cleaned the screen (no visible damage to the screen noted), performed a reset (which usually works), software reset hot, followed by a warm reboot and, finally, a hard reset (data kept) followed by a warm reboot, then the big one, a hard reset with data loss followed with 5 soft resets in a row. I found the Forum a T2 update I downloaded and is ready to be installed when I got hot then sync.

The unit is now fixed with the x in the start position in the upper left corner. Despite my efforts to knock quietly all around the X, I just can't get to recalibrate or even down the calibration screen. If I could just go to any ordinary screen, I could recover my data and install this update of T2.

I also downloaded Pocket DVD studio a week ago and have been able to download the .avi files to watch videos on my Palm. I works perfectly. I think I still have the original Kimoma player on my T2, but never really like him. Can someone help me please? This update of T2 is supposed to help according to information I found in the forum... Thank you very much!

Try to clean dirt that can accumulate between the bezel case and digitizer with the folded corner of a piece of copier paper. Do not go under the greater than 2.5 mm bezel. If you use a screen protector, it could have migrated under the window causing a tap screen Ghost and the substitution of all what you type. Remove it.

If still no joy, perhaps your digitizer is worn and it is time to replace. pdaparts.com and usedpdaparts.com sell replacements and can install them for you, for a nominal sum of service.

  • You use the latest version, is it possible to keep an eye when closing down so that they automatically reload. Used to be able to do it on the earlier version?

Would always have several tabs with the web when closing down addresses so that the same tabs are available when you restart as you could with the previous version, so firefox. Is there a setting somewhere?

Record of the tabs was not removed from Firefox 4, but it works a little differently.

    • By default, Firefox 4 will not ask to save tabs, but instead it will always save your tabs on the output unless you're in private browsing mode. You can restore the next time by:

      1. by clicking on the Firefox button > history > "restore previous Session ', or
      2. type of Subject: House in the URL bar and press the Enter key, then press the button "restore previous Session."
    • Note: This was a decision by the developers. On this forum, we are all volunteers without compensation here to help other users. Develop them and employees of Mozilla/Firefox rarely, if ever visit here.

To display the message "save tabs and exit" when closing multiple tabs, you can do the following:

    1. Type of topic: config in the URL/address bar and press the Enter key
    2. Accept the warning message (promise to be careful)
    3. Open the preferences/list page
    4. Filter = browser.tabs.warnOnClose
    5. If its value is set to false, double-click top (in the lower panel) to toggle its value to true
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the 3 following preferences also:
      • browser.warnOnQuit
      • browser.warnOnRestart
      • browser.showQuitWarning
    7. See:

Things to check if the tabs are not being saved to the output:

    1. Browsing history must be saved

      • Button Firefox: Firefox button > Options > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
      • Menu bar: Tools > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
    2. Also, make sure that you do not erase "Browsing history" when you use clear recent history or when Firefox is closed
      • Using clear recent history

        • Button Firefox: Firefox button > history > clear recent history
        • Menu bar: Tools > clear recent history
      • When Firefox is closed
    3. Make sure that you are not in private browsing mode or in private browsing mode permanent:
    4. If you have the Tab Mix Plus extension, and then clear the built-in session restore.

With the new update, I can't hard reset my iPhone. Siri does not work all the time. Sometimes when I reset hard my phone unlocks even if I'm not using my footprint.

    You could try these:

    1. Restart: press start/stop button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and after it stops, press on On / Off button until the Apple logo appears.
    2. Reset: press the home and On / Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).

  • How to perform a hard reset.

Although he can't be guaranteed to solve printing problems, a Hard Reset can solve many of them and is often a good first step.  Try following the steps in order.

    1. Unplug all cables and cards of memory in the printer.  Unplug the power cable, directly from the back of the printer when the printer is still on.
    2. Unplug the other end of the power cord.
    3. If there is a power supply on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.
    4. After 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet ( not a surge protector or battery backup ).
    5. Connect the power cord to the back of the printer.
    6. The printer should automatically feed back upward.  If not, turn it on with the power button.
    7. Try to make a photocopy (if your printer is a printer all in one) before you connect the cables from the printer.
    8. Connect all other cables to the printer.

If this solved your problem, no other troubleshooting is necessary.  You can take additional measures if necessary, but it is often a good first step.

It is recommended that the printer be connected directly to a wall outlet to ensure a constant level of power.  Sometimes, when plugged into a surge protector or battery backup, the quantity of electricity is not received by the printer.  Power problems can cause printing problems.  It is particularly important to be plugged directly into a wall outlet with wireless connectivity problems, "sleep mode" and other power problems.
