Difference of 1866Ghz crucial memory?

I was looking for a 16 gb memory kit for an iMac 27 "5 k end of 2015. I found these crucial with the same characteristics, but they are different and have different model numbers:

Crucial CT2KIT102464BF186D (from different shops that sell Crucial)

Crucial CT7916286 (critical site)

Nobody knows if they are really different? I found it weird.

The Crucial website says that the first element CT2KIT102464BF186D is not compatible with your iMac.

  • Differences between RAM SODIMM memory: H2P65AA and B4U40AA

    Greetings,

Could you please explain to me what is the difference between the two memory modules:

    http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sku/10415578 - HP 8 GB PC3-12800 (DDR3 1600 MHz) SODIMM H2P65AA

    http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sku/10421632 - HP 8 GB DDR3 - 1600 SODIMM Memory B4U40AA

I was asked to buy H2P65AA memory, but it seems hard to find here, however, some stores offer B4U40AA. They are the same or not, can it be used rather than another?

    Thanks in advance!

I understand that you want to know the difference between the 2 sticks of RAM in your links.

The second module of RAM is thicker and wider as the first module of RAM, but it less expensive.  If the system going in what H2P65AA memory, so I would say that the memory of B4U40AA does not work because of the different dimensions between the two.  Then the specifications of RAM seem to be the same, I suspect that the memory of B4U40AA do not fit properly.

  • Difference between (minidump) and (memory.dmp)?

    Separated from this thread.

is there a difference between (minidump) and (memory.dmp) I use windows 10

The main difference is size. Memory dumps are larger and contain a bit more information.

In most situations, it is best to configure the computer to produce a dump of memory the kernel in case of system failure. A complete memory dump is a very large file to manage so it is more convenient to work with kernel images of memory when you try to resolve the blue screen errors.

I suggest that you change your dump file settings to produce an image kernel memory. Select the hotkey Win + X , Control Panel, system, advanced system settings, Advanced tab, and click the button settings to start recovery. Under system failure, select the checkboxes before to write an event to the system log and restart automatically. Change the option Write debugging information by using the scroll to the right for image kernel memory. Click OK , and in the next window, click apply and OK. Restart your computer to apply the changes.

Does anyone know what memory modules will work in my Satellite Pro series please?

Or y at - it anyway I can make these modules work please?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

If the modules are not compatible so you won't get work
    I think you should check some Kingston modules: * DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM *.

I ve bought some Kingoston modules and they are working properly.

  • Use of the memory difference

When I tried to check the difference in the VI memory usage when controls are up as icons and terminals. Surprisingly when I was using the controls in the form of icons the memory usage (see properties vi) is less than the controls when they are placed like terminals (stand out the show as an icon). Can someone explain why this is happening because I thought the other way.

I think you see the effects of the undo history.

Comparative analysis of things is not as easy as it might look like

  • Pavilion 500-189: usefulness of adding additional memory to a computer desktop Pavilion 500-189

Hi - I think adding memory RAM additional to my desktop HP Pavilion computer model 500-189, bought in February 2014. It runs under Windows 10 home ed., 64 bit with RAM total to 10 GB. The computer has 4 memory slots and currently only 2 are used: slot 1 has a card 2 GB Hynix/Hyundai 1600 MHz and slot 2 has a card 8 GB Kingston 1600 MHz.

I'm currently pondering adding a single 4 GB DDR3 1600 MT/s PC3-12800 CL11 map of 240 pin unbuffered UDIMM in each of the last two slots to bring the memory total amount up to 18 GB. The total cost would be less than US $40.

My question: This inexpensive upgrade will not improve the performance of my computer or is - this exaggeration only change?

Comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Graphene, welcome to the forum.

Now, we are dealing here with reviews.  The sweet spot for memory seems to be 8 GB with Win 10.  In fact, I read that you will be hard to see a difference between 8 and 16 GB.  I use a laptop of Omen HP with 8 GB memory game.  It manages all the games that I played very well.  As you said, you already have 10 GB of memory and the processor is very fast.

Yet once, is discussed in the opinion.  In my opinion, the best upgrade that can be done today is an SSD.  My HP Omen loads games and programs incredibly quick and starts in 7 seconds or less.  I used a Samsung EVO 840 500 GB SSD in HP Phoenix Gaming desktop computer.  Again, it was incredibly fast.  Here is the SSDthat are recommended by Crucial memory.  They make great products for OEM computers.  I found the research that Samsung SSD seem to work better with HP motherboards and normally don't require changes to the BIOS works properly out of the box.   In addition, Samsung has its own Migration of data and Software Wizard software to fine-tune the SSD after installation.

This should give you pause.  If you decide to go with an SSD, I'd be happy to tell you how I did the installation.  It has worked well for me.

  • Capacity of memory and Type for my Pavilion laptop

    Hi guys,.

I have a Pavilion dv6t-1000 laptop, purchased in 2009.  Its product page does not specify how many (and what type) memory it can hold.  Crucial memory Advisor suggests 2 x 4 GB, but other sources suggest 2x2gb or even 3x2Go.  Someone know how to look this and remember?

Furthermore, I'm not an expert on all the terminology describing differences in features in the memory modules.  I am looking to buy some things named parties as "204 pin DDR3 SO - DIMM DDR3 1333 mhz (PC3-10600)".  I have a vague feeling that the 1333 mhz and 10600 represent speeds, but the default components appear to be "PC2-6400, 800 mhz DDR2.  I have a problem of compatibility between these new parts to buy?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Because it's a CTO machine then only you know. If your computer is running 64-bit OS, you can use the critical recommendation:

    http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/HP+-+Compaq-memory/Pavilion+DV6+series/Pavilion+dv6t+series+%28DDR2%29-upgrades.html

DDR3 RAM MADE to DDR2 slots physically so you cannot use of DDR3 RAM. But first, please use the following program called CPU - Z to check the type of your machine RAM and post return:

  • 2b09WM HP 2000: HP RAM - VS - Crucial brand

PC3 12800, 1600 MHz DDR3L DIMM Memory module #652972-001 is estimated to be about $125 on HP website, but I can get a stick of RAM about a brand like Crucial 2 GB SODIMM for approximately $ $12, what is the difference of the DDR3L-1600.

Volume. HP sources and sits on them. HP is selling computers portable business and memory of the replacements is actually a drag on their core business. Crucial memory sells its core business. To Crucial, they fly to the door so Crucial can offer them much much cheaper. Just make sure you are comparing apples with apples. Speed, voltage, latency and density should all be the same, or you risk of incompatibility.

  • 3 beeps, 5 seconds silence, 3 beeps, etc change the memory did not help...

Mac Mini end of 2012 running El Capitan

With 3 beeps, 5 seconds silence, 3 beeps, etc, it's "no good bank."  I was using crucial memory, works fine until about a week ago when he is awakened from his sleep gave the order to 3 beeps.  Changed to original memory of apple, same, got crucial replacement memory, same 3 beeps...  I doubt that all the 3 series were / are bad.  What else could be?  Any hardware problem would give sequence 3 beeps?

Probably the logic board is having some problems caused by the bad memory or another problem. I would certainly get extract in an Apple Store or service provider.

  • Operations of memory by a second different partition on 2 x Qosmio F60?

My brother and I bought the same machine from the same store on the same day...

    Qosmio F60 PQF65A-032002.
Windows for the CPU, graphics and disk partitions are exactly the same, but for some reason any memory scores are different!

The operations of memory per second on my F60 is 5.9
The operations of memory per second on his F60 is 6.1

Anyone know what would cause this?
Hard drive performance are the lowest score, but at least it's good on both our F60 ;-)

I'm not sure that 0.2 is in performance, but I think replace all memory, so I can go from 4g to 8g in any case...

    Hello

First of all the difference is very, very low only 0.2 points.
This can be caused by using or in different loading applications and background processes.
More there is always a difference in modules of memory product even if the modules are to come from the same manufacturer and support the same specifications.

    So there s nothing unusual.

    Welcome them

  • Memory problem while improving my Satellite A100-181

    Hi all

I want to upgrade RAM on my Satellite A100-181, 512 MB is a bit limited...
I ordered a 1 GB dimm noname a month before, put in it, with the 512dimm. As a result, we have only 1 GB recognized, and the laptop does not start if the 512 module is not mounted.

I thought it was a bad memory module and ordered a kit 2 GB of crucial memory modules, which come paired and guaranteed by Crucial to be compatible with the toshiba A100-181.
Result is the same: with 2 DIMMS inserted, the PC does not start: just turn on and off and still... With only 1 dimm, it does not start unless the 512 original module is attached to it... And once again, only 1 GB is recognized (915456Ko in the bios, but I guess that video reserved memory is not counted here)

Is that what anyone has ever heard a problem / solution to this issue?

    Thank you very much.

It is typical behavior when you use incompatible modules.
Your laptop can handle with 2 GB max and compatible with 1 GB of Ram is DDR2 400/533 1 GB (PA3411U-1M1G). Use this part number to order compatible module.

You can also buy the Kingston/Order module. Kingston offers high quality products and using them you won't have these problems.

The Modules of RAM 'Value' use many chips cheap using several banks/channels, which can cause problems of compatibility with some Chipsets/CPUS.

Have just bought 2GB memory update for Toshiba NB305-106, and it does not work. Machine unbootable - started 1 GB module.

It would be interesting to know which module you are buying exactly and what specs it has.
    Can you post this information?

  • Dear gurus: help with options for upgrading memory on the DV7-1235dx

I recently bought a used DV7-1235dx and that you want to update the 8 GB RAM, but I'm having a hard time figuring exactly what memory modules are the best for this problem (in a sense general - I don't want to say the brand, well that thoughts on that are welcome, too). I have Windows 7 64 bit. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Hello:

I suggest that you run the tool free to advise on the Crucial.com memory and it will tell you what memory you need to buy for your PC:

    http://www.crucial.com/?CPE=pd_msn_us & ef_id=k7hN@oYZUgUAAMO8:20110616224741:s

From what I could find on my own, I think you would need to PC2-6400 for your machine, but leave the scanner tool do its thing to confirm.

I've always bought Crucial memory, but for a 4 GB chip, it's quite expensive.

So, I found that the Patriot memory is a lot cheaper and it works great! I put the chip 2 x 4 GB Patriot in my HP Elitebook 6930p and chips Patriot 2 x 4 GB in HP Elitebook son 6910p.

I just bought a brand new HP Elite 8200 CMT. It came with 4 GB memory ddr3. I bought a chip of Patriot 4 GB and it works fine. Because the chip worked, I just ordered two other max out this new box.

Here is the link to the place, I had my Patriot laptop memory if the crucial scanner confirms that this is what you need. You can also read all the comments of consumers who bought the memory.

  • Pavilion p6608f: upgrade memory for p6608f

Hello, my Pavilion p6608f came with 4 GB of RAM. I want to upgrade. By HP features, the motherboard is a MSI ms-7613 and it should support up to 16 GB of RAM (4 x 4 GB DIMMS). I bought 4 DIMM which seem to fit specifications, but the computer wouldn't POST after installation. I tried reseating the DIMMs, but no luck. My hypothesis is that the memory is not compatible.  I'm unable to find good information on the compatible memory for this computer on the site of Kingston, MSI site, or the site of HP. (Any ideas on one) why the memory I bought is not compatible and b) how to find compatible memory?

    Thank you.

Saw that Crucial guarantees their recommendations, I'd go with it.  You may contact their Customer Service to see what they have to say if you are still skeptical.  I have recommended Crucial memory for years without reports of incorrect memory being received.
