Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion p6560sc desktop computer. According to specifications, your computer has a 300 Watt power supply. I propose to replace the power supply HP stock with Corsair CX500, or CX600. These power supplies are highly recommended, a favorite forum and are known to adapt to your case of HP. For background information, read Guide of Big_Dave of a discrete video card selection .

has pull the connection apart and the female end which is attached to the motherbaord's is no longer attached

do I need something plugged into the port of sata0? or, I can work around, then...?

To ignore individual SATA port on the POST, you can disable it in the BIOS-like point:

SATA 0 must match the 1st disk. Connect your HARD drive to SATA port system.

  • How to disable or change the settings of the fan check rpm at startup?

    Hi all...

    My system features:

    HP p6180t

    Prod #: AV129AV #ABA

    Processor Q9550

    8 GB RAM

    Card mother IPIEL-A3

    Updated:

    PSU Corsair HX650W

    ASUS GeForce GTX560

My original processor cooling fan has stopped working recently and I chose to replace it with a heat sink better while I was home. I used a Cooler Master Gemini II M4 because it was the only cooler increased capacity that would fit in my current case.

After the installation, I got the "error: CPU fan does not, the computer now shuts down to prevent damage to the CPU." Etc... »

My guess is that the motherboard don't like the new fan supplied with the new heat sink. The fan is bigger and I am sure that laps at a RPM lower than the stock fan. I checked my BIOS settings and do NOT have the "Hardware Monitor" section under the "Advanced" tab My BIOS is a newer level than the HP site will provide updates (mine is):

    BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 5.09, 19/08/2009).

Is there another way to change the speed of the fan RPM to avoid the error at startup in the BIOS?

I am able to start the computer by using similar fan size 4 pins on the motherboard, while the proper size fan (actually mounted on the radiator) is disconnected. Even with no fan, the new radiator keeps the processor to 45 C or less through all 4 cores under load average.

I guess I could always leave this small fan plugged into the motherboard for the BIOS to be happy and to power the CPU fan off (with an additional case fan) molex power. That would be a last option because I rather know if my CPU fan does not work...

Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

    John

I understand that your new fan is not detected as work correctly by the BIOS.  The BIOS does not provide all that many options to control functions such as the speed of the fan, and it's not a way to access this function to the best of my knowledge.  I'm afraid that the workaround you mentioned may be your only option with the existing fan do not have access to this setting in the BIOS.

You mentioned that you have connected a fan of similar size to ignore the error.  Is there a RPM higher than the fan at the top of the heat sink fan?  See the pictures here, it seems that the fan is detachable and can be replaced by the fan who works with the BIOS.  It comes as the fan who gets past the BIOS will fit the heatsink.

  • Are my PCIe x 1 slots PCIe 1.0 or 2.0?

HP Pavilion p6180t CTO desktop PC

    Card mother IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3)

    Hello

You can download PC Wizard (it's a gift) and get information on the PCI-E slots in your PC.  If you see a 2.5 GB/s link speed, then the speed is PCI-E version 1.

HP in the past has not posted specifications for the PCI-E slots.  I noticed on some of the newer models the slot machine specifications have been posted.

PCI-E version 1 will exceed 250 MB/s per lane and version 2 to 500 MB/s per lane.  (each direction)

A SATA III SSD will be the area of 400-425 MB/s sustained average on a controller SATA III.

  • beeps? Help, please

Hi guys! I need help and advice on my new pc.its p6217 British pavilion. I don't have the manual and for some reason any, there doesn't seem to be a copy of it online?, I need to know the requirements for ipiel A3 motherboards.i have a stick of all new ram ddr3 corsair that matches the criteria as far as I know.yet when it is consumed in all im getting is bios bleeps that signal that there is a problem with the ram? knowing exactly what needs the motherboard ram would be useful, but im thinking that she might need more then 2gigs/1stick? clues would be great please people.

What you need to understand, is that each module of memory from the same manufacturer is different.

Modules from different manufacturers have different voltages and timings requirements different primary and secondary memory.

That's why your add-on memory compatibility not guaranteed will not work. Purchase of another will not help. No no not in a pair is not the problem at all.

There is a table of specification in the white list in the BIOS ROM file (JEDEC specifications).

If a module of memory is not the qualifiations in the table, it won't work correctly and cause the PC to fail boot into the operating system

    Best regards

This system has a card mother Pegatron model IPIEL-A3 (Eureka 3) version 1.02.  BIOS is 5.09 FRIEND 19/08/2009.

I have not been able to find an option in the BIOS to boot from a USB key.  Must be updated to BIOS?  If Yes, who updated and where I find it?  I checked the site FRIEND, but they point to HP.

    Thank you

    HP8500lg, welcome to the forum.

There is no update of the BIOS of the computer.

I don't think that the old HP computers were able to boot from USB devices.  If it is available, it would be in the section of the BIOS boot order.

  • The hardware upgrade

I have a hp pavilion m9800me desktop pc. I thought about upgrading the hardware.
is this possible? I would like to upgrade the video card. the default video card that came with the pc is ati radeon hd 4650 1 GB ddr2. the operating system is windows 7 64 bit.

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Elite m9800me desktop and it is card mother IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3). According to specifications, your computer has a location of graphics PCIe x 16 (currently occupied by the HD 4650) and 3 PCIe x 1 for other cards slots. The computer has a 300 watt power supply which limits your choice of graphics for the low-end models. If you want to run mid-level in the class of game cards, you will need to upgrade your diet as well. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are great choices and known to adapt to most cases of HP. Please see from Dave G "Guide to choose a discrete video card" for more information on this subject. Alternatively, you can upgrade the memory and the CPU in your computer as follows:

    Memory:

Four DDR3 DIMM sockets (240 pin)

Supports DIMM DDR3 2 GB modules

    Supports dual channel memory architecture

    Supporting speeds:

  • How to install a replacement on my HP Pavilion p5357c motherboard?

I need to replace a faulty motherboard (like many of those who have bought with this pc motherboard) with the same brand and type of origin. The computer is a HP Pavilion p5357c and I find a way extravagant different information.

What is the exact error that you only had/get? Have you tried different data and records of power cables or a new power supply?

Many have suggested it is questions m/b, but most are resolved by replacing the HARD drive. Mothers only I know who may have known problems related to undetected drives are the HP/Pegatron M2N78 - LA series. Overheating possible and/or "cold welding" on the chipset.

Other motherboards that may have problems are the N-Alvorix-RS880-formfat (Alvorix) and IPMTB-TK (Truckee) motherboard, but not IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3).
