Here's the original specifications for the desktop HP Pavilion p6150nl. There are several revisions / version of the card mother IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3). Please use update BIOS provided in the Windows Vista 64-bit section of the HP Pavilion p6150nl Desktop PC Drivers & Downloads page. This update looks like it's actually a downgrade from v5.07 to v5.05 and you can not install.

You cannot use a BIOS v6.xx on a computer that has a v5.xxx BIOS. The BIOS are not the same and are designed for different motherboards which are different versions or revisions.

  • Clocked at 20 degrees warmer since putting on 3.87 Rev A Bios Update on Z420 Workstation

    I have a question:

Not too long ago I put the Bios Update on A Rev 3.87 was considered to be as critical an update on my workstation Z420 (running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit), and lately I've found that the CPU idling at about 20 degrees more hot than before.  I used to hear creaking noises coming from the computer I learned normally come circuits on the motherboard power delivery, but as long as I heard those CPU would be on average around 50 degrees C at idle.  I hear these noises and now the CPU is on average around 70-75 degrees C at idle.  Not sure what the connection is.  HP performance Advisor tells me I'm in the normal range, but I want to just make sure that with programs like Autodesk Maya there, she become too hot and stop the machine.   I don't know what the temp high-end is considered maximum security.  This change could have due to the update of the Bios?

Thank you for your response and suggestions.  I check in my BIOS power management settings has been developed the extended mode, but the temperature has always hovered around 70-78 degrees at idle.  I checked Intel spec for this (E5 - 1650 6-core xeon) processor, clocked at 3.2 Ghz by heart, and although he said nothing on the TMax, he mentioned that the TCase (which he defined as the maximum temperature allowed integrated processor heat sink (IHS)) was 64 degrees Celsius.  Now my temperature of the case, according to my HP Performance Advisor version 1.7.7517.0 is only about 24 degrees C, but I put my fan a little higher CPU, about 2009 rpm speed.  This makes a little more noise, but my CPU temp has dropped to about 49 °.  "" Before the change of the fan speed has been slightly more than 1300 RPM while the Advisor I have always said that it is in the range "normal".  Is it good to get the speed of the CPU fan like that or do I have to go a little lower?

When will there be a version 10 of Windows to upgrade the BIOS (the more recent version, currently available for Windows only, 8.1 F.62 Rev.A, file name sp71172.exe) for my HP ProBook 6570 b?

In fact, you can update using the file for Windows 8.1:

    1. Download the BIOS update sp71172.exe for Windows 8.1.
    2. Run, but do not select update now, but to create a USB key for update.
    3. Follow the instructions to create the USB key. This works on Windows 10.
    4. Reset.
    5. Access the configuration Menu by pressing ESC followed by F10.
    6. Find the option to update the BIOS on the USB key and follow the instructions.

  • Compaq dc7800: DC7800 CPu id and BIOS update probem

    Hello

My first post here, I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Well, I have this old compaq dc7800 sff and I managed to level it's OS to Windows 10.

And now, I would like to update its bios and CPU id, but I can't run those exe, I downloaded on the cd7800 support site.

I know that these bios update programs and so forth are not published for Windows 10, but I thought that windows7 versions would work.

    But they did not.

For some reason, I got the the messege that "software publisher has refused to run this program on this computer.

    While this mean?

I can't run these programs even with administrator privileges, I get the same messages?

Because of Windows 10? Or what?

The reason why I came across this problem was that I tried to update the CPU of the Q6600 to Q9550 and I got the error of CPU - ID firmware.

    Hello:

It is very easy to update the BIOS on a dc7800 without being under Windows.

In the menu of the BIOS on the file tab, there is a rom flash system command.

All you have to do is put the BIOS files on a USB stick formatted with the FAT32 file system.

Rather than go though all the steps to get the BIOS files, I've zipped or less than joint under attachments.

Unzip them and copy the content of the file of the folder (not the folder), for your USB flash drive.

Plug the flash drive into your PC and restart it, tap the F10 key to access the bios, select the file menu and on this list will be a rom flash system command.

What to choose, and the PC will 'see' the files on the flash drive.  Follow the instructions on the screen to Flash the BIOS.

I have attached files to the latest revision of the BIOS (1.32 Rev. A (6 Dec 2011)).

If you still get the microcode error after updated the BIOS with the latest version, let me know, because then update the firmware, and it is a much more complex process.

  • The Hewlett-Packard 786 7 v01.02 BIOS update

    Hello

I installed a nvidia geforce gtx 560 card ti graph in the workstation HP xw4400 of my son as a Christmas gift, and I get the following error message:

"Your computer's system firmware includes enough information to set up and use this.

My understanding is that I need to update the BIOS, but I can't find an update for Hewlett-Packard 786 7 v01.02 on this site. I've attached a screenshot of system information.

Thanks in advance for your support.

The XW4400 is currently in the BIOS v2.07 Rev A, 8 December 2010 , but the history tab provides no story at all... so I can't find the old versions of BIOS and as such can't see if it's OK to jump directly from v1.02 to v2.07 without problem...

But the tab notes relase v2.07 includes following:

This package contains the system BIOS (BIOS family 7 786) and BIOS image the and remote flash utility for the HP xw4400 workstation. These utilities can be used to restore or update THE system BIOS. System BIOS is the operating system
    independent.

If the BIOS linked above is for your XW4400 that uses the BIOS 786 7 family...

But please note that the XW4400 has only updates for XP & VISTA and not Windows8. So the XW4400 updates may or may not work as expected when it is used with Windows 8. Both such and especially with a BIOS update that can be risky, I won't use the method of updating windows (HPQFlash) flashing the BIOS from version HPQFlash may not be completely compatible Win8... Instead, I would like to use the 'flash-BACK' or "BIOS CD" methods.

You can learn more about the different methods of updating BIOS by looking at all the README files in sp51215.exe. You can either run sp51215.exe to unzip the contents of c:\swsetup\sp51215\ (but do not perform a bios update, just close the tool) or 7-zip to directly view the content of sp51215.exe...

The update of the BIOS may or may not help your situation, but in all cases, you have still some problems with drivers and the Windows 8 to settle as the XW4400 was never certified for Win8. You may need to perform a job detective to ensure that drivers, especially the chipset drivers, used during the Win8 installed and updates post install actually support the hardware itself... He is a guy to know what is the problem that the documents appear to be getting dumbed down and therefore, you will need to do a lot of reading...

  • WANT to 700-074: BIOS update failed HP ENVY 700-074

I intend to update Windows 10 soon.  HP recommends to update the drivers and BIOS before upgrade.  the original BIOS is listed as FRIEND 80.15 in msinfo32 dated 19/09/2013 (and in the setup of the BIOS as KAI 80.15). The computer came with 8 VICTORY and has been updated to WIN 8.1.  I tried to update the BIOS with the update listed for computers 700 - 0xx WANT to sp66018.exe.  I downloaded and ran the update with the HP Support assistant help.  A DOS window appears, and the update completed.  Norton AntiVirus has been disabled and all programs were closed during installation.  I created a USB file as the recommended window.  After that restart the BIOS version has not changed... Even after several reboots (and stops) and disconnect the power cord (I did some housekeeping to clean the inside of the computer of the dust) the version of the BIOS is still the original.

What is the correct BIOS update?  There are two listed for my machine - 80.20 Rev. (I used) may 28, 2014

    and 80.24 Rev.A 7 April 2015

Which is the correct one?  I don't want to install a bad!

It is possibly disable startup secure in the BIOS for the update to be successful?

Apparently, the dates are correlated with the version I had.  I tried to install one, be one originally installed... I installed the 80.24 Rev A version dated April 7, 2015 and it updated without problems.

The file system (C:\SWSetup\SP76205\ROM. CAB) BIOS update is missing or damaged. THE system BIOS does not update.

    How to solve this problem?

First: download and try to install the Bios update F.63, it will fail - don't worry.

Second: to check what type of the ROMA family and ROM date do you have, press F10 on the laptop at the start run the configuration utility and then view the file system information.  You should see: 68SCF or 68SCE, double check and write it on paper.

Third: Start computer laptop back to Windows

-go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206 and rename 68SCF or 68SCE in ROM (a single file if you aren't sure go to step: second)

-go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206\hpqflash and rename 68SCF or 68SCE in ROM     (a single file if you aren't sure go to step: second)

    Finally:

go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206 and do a HPQFlash right-click and run as administrator

    or

go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206\hpqflash and do a HPQFlash right-click and run as administrator

  • BIOS update issues

I have a laptop Toshiba A - 215 Satellite & have a question.  In support of Toshiba for this laptop in particular, there are 6 - different versions of BIOS update.  Currently, I have the version installed in factory 1.00, dated 08/27/2007.  My question is is I meet any major problem, that you may know to download the 'versions of Flash ACPI & am I suppose to download the versions in increments-eg. version 1.30 to 1.50 & up to 2.00 maximum as well which is the latest version?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Thomas,

First of all, why do you want to update the BIOS? I do not recommend updating BIOS whatsoever unless you ABSOLUTELY need for reasons such as: compatibility, fix bug, etc. Essentially, a BIOS update only if you want to solve a problem, you know for a fact is not fixable with a BIOS update. Don't just carelessly to the BIOS update. It is very dangerous. Today, we have systems dual-BIOS and precautionary measures, but it is still not recommended unless absolutely necessary.

However, to also answer your question, when and if you need to update the BIOS, are always more later because it contains all fixes + all new the old BIOS rev has (unless of course the manufacturer removed something for stability purposes).

    Kind regards

    Patrick

Hello erosfaus, here is the link for the specifications of your system. Since you don't mention which version of Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) you want to install on your system, you may want to download and run the Windows Upgrade Advisor to see if your system can be upgraded to Windows 7.

I also checked for an update of the BIOS and did not find one for your system.

Because your system was shipped with Windows XP, you would not be able to upgrade to Windows 7, but be required to perform a new installation. It is of course, if your system can be upgarded to Windows 7.

Here is the link for Windows Upgarde Advisor.
