  iSCSI traffic uses a VMkernel port, instead of using the command 'ping', use 'vmkping '.

  The computer manufacturing must have created a partition on the disk or provided you CD to restore the computer to the way it was when you bought it. If you have a PC clone, then probably you need to reformat your hard drive and reinstall the operating system. If you have an OEM computer (example: HP, Dell, ETC) there is most likely instructions when you turn on/off press F11 or F12 to return the computer to the computer.

  Note: Do nothing until you have all of your backup data.

  This my first post on this forum that I couldn't find an answer via Google search. If I do not use correct terminology or fail to provide comprehensive information, please forgive me.   I have install VMWare ESXi 6.0 free House on servers Dell T420 and T110 II. I recently tested vMA 5 by installing it as a virtual machine on one of the servers. I watched the tutorial Youtube how to use vifp to add servers. I have network etc. on vMA installation and it works fine. Automatic update worked. I issue the command sudo vifp addserver 192.168.250.96, I am prompted for the password. When I enter the password, I get an error error: cannot add users. I checked the log file in /var/opt/vmware/vma/vifpd.log and the more descriptive message is:

  addServer: error occurred when adding users for 192.168.250.96... roll back. An error occurred during the creation of users on 192.168.250.96

  Then I noticed that since I'm on the console vMA to run these commands, as soon as the error occurs, I see that in the lower part, under recent tasks, I see an error: General system error: weak password. The details of the error says:

  Now my password is strong enough. I can't post it here but I'll post a similar password:

  It is 14 characters and has the numbers, letter uppercase, lowercase letters and special characters. I read the VMWare documentation on passwords and for me, the password seems very well. Any help will be appreciated.

• Connected HP - Server errors / cannot add a device

  The new "HP" connected problems?  I migrated to the eprintcenter at this thought, that it would be better, but so far, I have not been able to add my printer that I wouldn't have to do anyway because everything was supposed to go and whenever I click on the 'Services' tab, I get a server error.  All this seems to be broken, or I'm not doing something good?  Help!

  Problem solved.  EU set up HP connected using a different e-mail account.  Apparently, one of my email accounts, he didn't like.  In any case, I used an email based on the web, set up a new account at SnapFish too and then reset my printer by disableing web services, then re-help.  Hope this helps others with this problem.

  You get the license keys for each of your servers, and then manually add them to the Manager before attempting to add the servers. I had the same problem myself. It is not very intuitive.

• iSCSI Initiator Port Group error

  Problem adding in the vmk second to an existing iSCSI vSwitch.  Original config was 2 vmks - all worked successfully.  1 vmk has been removed to solve network problems.

  Re-created the 2nd vmk, but when going down one of the cards the unused category as soon as active network OK is selected the message "this vmkernel port group contains a NETWORK card.

  Thanks for sharing the information. Please try below steps:

  Step 1. Remove links in the existing port and reboot the host.

  Step 2. Change the port iSCSI and vmnic preferred value to active group and move the second unused NETWORK card.

  Step 3. Change group 2-port iSCSI and vmnic preferred value in the active State and move the other card unused NETWORK.

  Step 4. Add vmk1 and vmk2 under links in the port iScsi initiator network configuration.

• Cannot add a printer. Print spooler crashes. Error 0x000006be

  So, I spent several hours working on this problem and nothing seems to help.

  I have Windows Vista Ultimate SP1.  When I try to add a printer, properties of control server or anything else related to printing, I just got the error "windows cannot add a printer [or" server properties cannot be read "" "]." The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. »

  When I restart the spooler via administrative tools/services, or from the command prompt (it's supposed to be successful) attempt to add a printer again, I get the error message 'the operation cannot be completed (error 0x000006be)' and the spooler promptly crashes again.  This just started to happen suddenly, and no not because I tried to install some any printer.  If it helps, I've been using a Dell Photo Printer 720, but I used it in the past with the same system, OS and driver without problem.

  I searched for solutions in the world and so far have removed all traces of the system printer drivers in the case of a corrupted file crashes the spooler.

  So far, I have:
  1 deleted all of the printers that could be uninstalled from Add / Remove programs

  2 cleared out the Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86 and Windows\system32\spool\printers\ folders

  3. suppression of the subkeys in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers registry keys

  4 deleted default subkeys in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors registry key

  Is there something else I could do to fix this?  Is it possible that the spooler application itself has a problem?  Or have I missed something it's ruin?  Any help would be REALLY appreciated!

  Try this:

  1. click on Start> select Control Panel> in programs and features> select turn Windows features On or Off.

  2. click on sign + Print Services.

  3. Select LPD and LPR. You must remove the Internet printing Client. Restart your PC to ensure there is no error in the spooler service.

  4. try to reinstall your printer software/driver.

  After upgrading to windows 7 Home premium 64 bit vista family premium 64-bit, I expected to be able to connect my EPSON Stylus D68 printer on my laptop and leave immediately. However, when I tried to do this installation constantly failed.  Therefore, I went to the manual add the printer option in the menu devices and printers. However I met this error message: "Windows cannot add a printer. The local print spooler service is not running. However, the restart option has been obscured and when I just tried to start then I met an other error message: "windows could not start the spooler on the local computer service, error 1053: service has failed to demand launch or control in a timely. more when I click Properties to the spooler in the description it says failure to read the description. error code: 1813. This is all very frustrating for someone who just wants to add a printer to his laptop computer. can someone please? because I am all of these ideas.

• The ISCSI initiator problem

  Another problem of beginner.  I learned a lot about my new virtual world, and the box Logic Equal Dell.  But I still have a fundamental problem that must be an easy fix, or something I do not understand from a technical perspective.  I want to be able to connect to a snapshot and be able to recover a file if necessary.

  I brought the snapshot online and I could even get on vSphere so I could see him there.  But, for the life of me I can't all iscsi initiator to see the snapshot at all.  I have a few guesses, but I can't seem to understand my problem.

  I can't get the initiator to see all the targets... it just tells me the connection fails.  I think I know why, but my skills of network management are not real strong.  When we had an outside company come in and set up the environment, they put everything on 192.168.100.x or 192.168.101.x.  Since I arrived here (more than 15 years ago), our network has always been 129.1.x.x ip addresses.  I'm programmer for the most part and I got a guy of networking which is solid to the networking but I don't know if he can answer my question either.

  In any case, when I try to add my portal target to the initiator, what IP address or the name am I supposed to point to?  I can't ping the 192 addresses because I'm on an IP 129.1.x.x, correct?  So, this is why I have no chance to find snapshots using the initiators?  I know the vCenter server has an address 129 and the SAN itself has a 129 address and I tried to connect to who but did not work.

  I think I gave permission to the snapshot to be seen by several initiators.

  I think it's my lack of networking, but maybe not.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  The snapshot will not be a set of files that you can view. This will be a copy of exactly what the LUN looked like when you took the photograph, you need to mount it in vSphere just like you would ride the regular LUN. Then you will see all the VMX and VHDX files for virtual machines that you instantly. Then you can add one in vSphere and power to recover his files. Don't forget that you'll want to disable networking all on this virtual machine so that it is not in conflict with the actual VM on the network.
