Isn´t Windows Update runs on Windows 8

Yesterday I re-installed Windows 8 because I had a problem. Now, Windows Update and the store don't download not updated. I searched in Microsoft.com, a Windows Update error code, it says that I need run the symbol of the system, to introduce the 2 orders. I did it, but after the introduction of a single order, I could not write. I do that separately, but may be incorrect, bucause now Windows Update do not open in the Panel.

Hello

Thanks for the reply.

Have you tried to clear the cache of Windows Store using the steps proposed by me in my previous answer?

I suggest you follow the step given in the method 2 for Windows 8 of the link given below.

  • Windows Update running long after the system restore Image

This is my 2nd try at why put Windows runs so long.

I did everything that was asked of me in my 1st post.

My last answer a question for me was on 19 September 2016.

    Which was a Monday.
    Then silence.
I don't know if anyone can help with this problem.

    It is still ongoing.

But at least informed me that it is not something that can be done.

    Instead of silence.
The links below are to my OneDrive.
Please let me know if there is more information.

    Operating systems: Windows 7 Ultimate sp1 64-bit

Recently I reinstalled Windows 7 with a system image backup.

He took my computer the initial installation of Windows 7.

When I checked for updates that need to be installed in the Windows Update control panel there are not.
So I clicked Check For Updates.

Rental search automatically updates, run first for 3 hours. Once again for 8 hours. Then once more for 20 hours.
Each control time for updates still worked and no updates have been downloaded for installation.

How can I get updates for my computer, if check for updates is not download any?

  • Portege M200 BIOS update running Windows 7?

    Hello

I recently took a Portege M200 and installed (via PXE - network installation) Windows 7 above. I want to upgrade the BIOS as is always in the original BIOS (1.1). I downloaded and extracted the pkg and tried to install through Windows but it says that my OS is not supported. I don't have an external CD drive or floppy drive - how do I update the BIOS? I tried to put it on a USB key, but it doesn't seem to be an option to boot from USB.

    Thank you!
    Jerry

    > I downloaded and extracted the pkg and tried to install through Windows but it says that my OS is not supported. I don't have an external CD drive or floppy drive - how do I update the BIOS?

Seems that BIOS cannot be updated because Win 7 is not officially supported on this good old classic.
However, AFAIK the VAP (value added package) is required to run an update of the BIOS. So, try to install the VAP. Choose this tool which is available for other models of laptops.

  • error code 80070005 Windows Update running

    Original title: error code 80070005.

Last Friday, my laptop had a message saying Vista had stopped working properly and I had to install service pack 1 (even if this had been done just after buying 18 months ago), I did the install and now all THE updates have been removed from the computer and he said: he can't do windows updates the error code 80070005. can anyone help with this. Thank you

    Hey gordont,

Error code 80070005 means generally that you're not quite allowed to install updates. Access may be denied if you have logged on to the computer as a standard user and this account does not have permission to install updates.

To resolve the problem follow the steps that are listed in the methods below in the order listed, starting with method 1.

    Method 1:

Log the computer as an administrator or as a user with administrative rights.

    Method 2:

One of the most common causes of this error code (access denied) is the Anti Virus and Anti Spyware software running on the computer. You can try to disable them, and then try the updates again.

    Method 3:

Try to reset your default security settings.

    Reference:

How to restore the security settings the default settings?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/313222

    Method 4:

    Reset Windows Update components.

    See:

How to reset the Windows Update components?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

    This should be it.

Note: Runs the computer without antivirus software or firewall is a potential threat to the computer; don't forget to activate the security software after completing the troubleshooting steps and after you have identified the problem.

  • BSOD on all options after starting windows updates running.

I ran the windows updates last night I shut down my computer.  I remember it being about 12 updates to run.

    Windows Vista, 32-bit

This morning, I rebooted my computer and during the loading sequence, updates continue (the non-graphical part) and then I got a BSOD.  I tried to run all the security modes and got the same message.

I ran repair my system disk and got the message that he could not repair the version of windows.  I tried a system restore, but it said I had no save points.

Is there a way to manually tell it that updates have been an uninstall from the reapir vista disk command prompt?

The specific the BSOD error code is
    0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x8264CB56, 0x803998CC, 0x803995C8)

Any help which is not one of these answers canned that has a bunch of stuff I can't do since I can't on something else that the ERD would be useful.
    Thank you!

In the end I solved it me - so if someone runs into similar codes - here is the summary:

    I ran Windows Update.
On reboot the part of the update that runs in non-graphical mode full - then crashed by the computer.
I got BSOD screens whenever I tried to boot in any mode.
    The specific error code is 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x8264CB56, 0x803998CC, 0x803995C8)
I tried the repair disk installation process - which could not find anything.
I couldn't do a system restore point, because they were all gone.
I called Microsoft - they were very nice, but their only solution was to re - install which was not possible for me.
I downloaded and created a boot cd on another computer that could run antivirus software.
The disc has been call BootCD Secured2k - there is a forum on the Mcafee site about this.
I used it and found a Patched - atapi.sys trojan that he removed from the case.
(Reading between the lines - this thing has been disrupted by the Microsoft Update that caused the mess)
Then I got a new problem starting with the error code: 0x0000007b 0x80399bb0
Same problem of being unable to boot in any mode.
Same problem of being useless installation disc repair.
After leaving it for a few hours, it occurred to me that perhaps when atapi.sys, that Trojan has been deleted the file was so.
I connected the command line available from the installation disc advanced repair options.
    ATAPI.sys had indeed disappeared.
I used the X:\windows\system32\drivers\atapi.sys and copied on my C:\Windows\system32\drivers.
And presto! -my windows starts with happiness and everything seemed to work.
(Why can't notice of repair of microsoft one missing disk or messed up file atapi.sys?)

Unfortunately a few days later I noticed the Windows updates not working and I couldn't go even this part of the site.
I tried everything I could think of and failed.
    So I called Mircorosoft again.
We spent an hour on the phone and they found the problem this time!
I used OpenDNS as my DNS provider for performance of problems caused by Time Warner.
For some reason any OpenDNS blocking any attempt on my end to reach the Microsoft Update sites.
I went from Microsoft recommended DNS and my computer was happy again.
    Everything has been happy since.

And just to prove that I learned my lesson - I bought Norton Ghost and tries to configure full backups regular since the system restore point says that it don't work for me (I have a vista upgrade a XP Home machine on a FAT file system)

    So:
Secured2K bootable anti-virus CD (and you can run other analyses of viruses such as PA recommended wear)
If ATAPI. SYS is removed or bad - I copied it from the disc command prompt install.
If you Microsoft updates stop working and you can't reach their windowsupdate.microsoft.com - check your DNS.

  • Problems with windows update, run sfc/scannow and boot into safe mode. (Vista Home Premium)

    Hi all

Please bear with me here that I try to explain all the questions I have with my computer right now. I'll try to explain everything that self-organization as possible, but if you need more information or file papers to provide a solution more precise, do it me know.

To start, I use a HP Pavilion dv6000 series (dv6748us to be exact) with Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) installed. (Service pack 2). About 6 months ago I got this laptop from what I believe was the conflicker virus (kept forwarding pages, arrested updates and antivirus programs, etc.) and I managed to get Windows Update works again. My help and Support did not work well, it only worked in Mode without failure, so I did some research and tried a bunch of suggested corrections (update the registry, etc.) and got it work yet once again. I don't know if one of the tools that I used all by setting the Help & Support could have caused problems that I now (as I literally tried everything under the Sun until I got to work), but my Windows Update does not work properly again.

A few weeks ago, I installed some updates and restarted the computer, but updates did not finish install on reboot. He said the usual "Configuring Updates, do not turn off your computer", but never showed percentage complete or whatever it is. It restarted, and when I open Windows Update, he said the last time I checked the updates has never been (obviously not true), and when I tried to check the updates, it jumped right to the message telling me I have to restart my computer to complete the installation of updates. She continues to do everytime I open Windows Update. From time to time, I try to restart it, just to see if it will work, and he never does.

I spent hours trying all the solutions I could find in Google. I tried to run system update readiness tool, which seemed to run correctly (but does not solve the problem). I then tried the difficulty it for Windows Update, and it does not solve the problem. (It might be important for me to mention that I also have problems with the difficulty It Center itself, too. Individual tools like that for Windows Update is running, but the difficulty It Center program keeps giving me the error message that "a problem is preventing the troubleshooting tool to start.") I also tried to rename the pending.xml file, and then later I deleted it, after reading in another forum that you rename the file could cause system instabillity or something like that.

Unfortunately, I can't use system restore to solve all my problems, because all my previous restore points have disappeared (I don't know if the virus wiped out them, or if the computer removed on its own) but restore points only I checked are those that have been created recently, during the time I had these problems.

I tried running sfc/scannow nothing helped, as he continues to tell me that there is a pending repair, but repair pending never ends. I tried to use the command of /revertpendingactions of dism.exe/image:C\/cleanup-image in the command prompt of recovery center to stop it pending repairs, and that has not worked because it claims that dism.exe that does not exist / is not a valid command. No matter what I try, I can't have this pending repair or my updates to complete pending.

I tried to boot mode safe several times as well and he hung up on crcdisk.sys when starting every time.

Being that I can't use sfc/scannow, System Restore, or get into Safe Mode, I'm really lost as to what I should do next. I'm honestly not sure if the problems are related, but I just thought it would make sense to list them all in one place.

Please note that I don't want to re - install Windows Vista, or don't I think I need, because the computer works very well for most. (I use it for typing this right now). I had much rather bring all the features on mine, which I believe can be achieved with the help of the right person.

If someone could provide me with suggestions/solutions, it would be greatly appreciated! Certainly, it would relieve a lot of stress for me!

  • After win7sp1 clean install on a new hard drive, Windows Update runs forever - have tried MANY fixes

    April 2, 2016

For several days, I have reproduced this problem by starting with a W7Sp1 drive and also start with a considerably older drive of W7.  The old installation of W7 is going very well, first run of WUpdate receives a few fixes, apply and restart.  Rerun WUpdate and she finds Sp1.  Installation of Sp1.  Rerun Wupdate and it says to upgrade to a new Wupdate.

After the SP1 update and the new windows update, this system offers the same WUpdate symptoms as if from the W7Sp1 disk.  Immediately after the installation of the drive, run the wupdate.  He said: it must be updated to a new Wupdate.

(PS in each Installer Win7, I authenticated the product key and activated windows.)

After that, Windows Update never runs you want fixed.  (Left running 10 hours overnight).

(NO OTHER programs or anything like that is installed after installing Win7 and starting with Windows Update problems).

    =============================================================

    I found 2 programs: FixitAllUp.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 - downloading "MicrosoftFixit.wu.MATSKB.Run". (Chasing a "minimal boot"). The last time I have raced, he said if found 2 problems, but only fixed a.  I hit the button Details where he says that he finds the same 2 problems and fixed them BOTH.  It corrects "Missing or damaged registration Service" he said: he can't solve 'Installation problems of the recent updates' - but when you hit details it button show both under "green checkmark" FIXED.  (I also tried to run this several times, and he always finds and he said exactly the same thing, as did the first round).

Also have run "WindowsUpdateDiagnostic" downloaded from the microsoft site.  It's the same notes 2 problems and fixed one or both depending on if you are looking the summary or detail.

I read many many cases of a problem that dates back to 2011 and with various assumptions for this problem.

AND YET, Windows Update checks the updates for EVER and EVER.

    Help

There is a solution and it works very well...

    Windows Update problem (new)

The following procedure applies in the case of installation (reinstall) Windows 7.  It does not apply to a usual, normal day.

I'm afraid that you will do the reinstall again.  Not a terrible penalty to pay.  Usually takes less than an hour.  Then immediately proceed to the next procedure.   It's strange, but it really does work and many people have proved it.

NEVER install anything other than Windows updates until your system is up-to-date.  Once you have the list update, install all together.  Installation of updates in batches is not expedite the process or do better.

    1. Before you begin to re - install, download (32 or 64 bit) KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance and store on a USB
    2. Start and end the re - install Windows 7 SP1
    3. Before that the newly installed system can go online for the first time, Disconnect the computer from the Internet.  This chronology is essential.  The system should NOT have access to the Internet when it starts.
    4. Install KB3083710 and reboot manually.
    5. Install KB3102810 and reboot manually.
    6. Restore the Internet connection, and run Windows Update as usual.
    7. After a few minutes, you should have a lot of updates to download and install.

    Thanks to Ken Morely

  • Windows Update runs continuously after the installation/purchase program for Dell Latitude E6530 with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    Hello

I bought a Dell Latitude E6530 'renovated', that was the end of the lease. (It was not defective). I started up and installed Dell help. I have had no trouble to do a few minor update of drivers. However, when I try to update Windows it just runs and.

I checked the Windows Update with the troubleshooting Diagnostic Utility. I made sure that there is no infection or rootkits on your computer. I followed several suggestions I found the title of Microsoft Support positions and renamed the folder of Distribution system, as well as a few things of the reset. I have register/authenticate online with Microsoft Windows software.

When I run the troubleshooter, it says registration for the Service is missing or damaged, and he said it suits him, but he can't solve "problems installation of recent updates. However, when I run it again, it is said that he correct once again.

    Any suggestions?

  • Windows 7 update runs forever

I have a laptop HP (G71 - 448 CL) that has been sitting for a few years. Happens to me to remember installing free Windows 10 was al; more more and pulled the laptop to install. I was a day late to install it for free, but when I tried to update it started running forever.

I downloaded the update diagnostic and it ran also found a tool to reset update and did this.

I ran to a DVD and Malwarebytes Microsoft Security databases.

When I launches the update, he said that there are no updates installed and now worked for three days with the Green banner goes pretty slowly. This screen also indicates that it is 9 in option updates available, but does not show what they are.

How long should I wait to get it working?

I have a direct connection cable to the cable router.

You can wait as long as you want too

But it would be best to follow these instructions :)
