  Hi all!  I am all new to VMWare and iSCSI, and I have a question about data warehouses regarding being mounted on an iSCSI target.

  Here's my setup.  I have a Dell PowerEdge R810 connected over a link to 10 GB dedicated to a Dell PowerEdge 2950 that I use as a SAN.  The R810 has no hard drives in it, it starts ESXi on a redundant configuration of SD card integrated into the server.  My SAN software is Server 2008 Enterprise with Microsoft iSCSI software Target 3.3 installed.  I created target 1, LUN 0, 800 GB .vhd file sitting on a NTFS partition and set up a store of data on it in VCenter.  The data store is the size of the entire iSCSI, 800 GB target.  I have my first virtual server up and get 50GB of space between the data store.

  Here is my question: can I create several virtual machines using the data store I put in place?  I know it sounds like a stupid question, but my concern comes from some reading I did on several computers, access to a single LUN.  If I set up another virtual machine, it will explode on my SAN file system as two virtual machines would be to access the same big VHD file on the NTFS partion, or I'm far from base?

  I have an another R810 that I will be online soon.  Assuming that I am OK to add more virtual machines of my first machine, pourrais I connect this box in the data store as well and create virtual machines, or should I set up a separate data on another iSCSI target store?

  No, you should be fine.  One thing to keep in mind is that the Windows/MS iSCSI target is not a supported storage solution.  There could be problems of scalability with iSCSI Windows/MS, but you'll be fine in a VMware perspective.

  You could, but I personally would put in place a different data store on another iSCSI target.

• Web interface GS748TS issue when configuring the GAL

  We have several GS748TS need reconfiguration of the LAGS, but neither Chrome nor IE 10 (normal mode and compatibility) appear to allow us to access the configuration of LAG.

  In Google Chrome, loads of everything, except for the interface component user to select ports to add / remove a lag (switching-> GAL-> LAG Membership). The same thing happens for belonging to a VLAN.

  In Internet Explorer 10 to the first page after login does even not load correctly. With compatibility mode turned on, clicking switch-> LAG don't display the summary of the LAGS, but the configuration of VLAN membership works very well.

  Any suggestions as to how we can manage the configuration of LAG? A new firmware would be nice

• Issue in configuration 11g service using OPMN ODI of Agent

  Our ODI Version is 11.1.1.6 & have autonomous agent which works fine when started manually with the batch file.
  
  We have a question after you have configured this autonomous agent in OPMN. The OPMN process is started and the agent process is also in the living State.
  
  Now, when we test the Agent in the Studio of ODI, he fails.
  
  In addition, the odiparams.bat, agentcreate.properties, odi_opmn_addagent.bat are correctly configured in my case.
  
  When checked with the newspaper of the OPMN agent it is difficult to understand the question. Here is the decriptiion of the error log:

  It was with the JDBC drivers in the agent\drivers folder. There were several Oracle JDBC files & connecting to the repository, agent was referring to an evil.
  I have just ojdbc6dms.jar that comes by default with 116 ODI. I removed ojdbc14.jar is & ojdbc6.jar (same as ojdbc6dms.jar) & it worked.

• Issue of configuration of VLAN

  We have ESX Server 3.5.0 110181 and VIC version 2.5.0. Each of our ESX host has 4 NICs for use in our LANs, 2 more for each Port of the Console of Service VMKernel Port. Physical network adapters to connect to a stack of 5500 Nortel ethernet Routing switches.

  I am trying configure 4 NICs in each ESX host to be able to view the two VLANS separated. I am trying to configure these VLANS on the Nortel switches. The problem is I'm new on the VLAN and can't do network cards in the ESX host to always see the two VLANS. Right now I have an ESX host with two network cards that see both VLAN and two network cards who don't see a VLAN. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what I did wrong.

  First and I realize maybe this isn't the best place to ask this question, but in the Nortel VLAN config, there are four choices of marking and I have not been able to understand that it is appropriate to use for the ESX host. The choices are; Removes all brand, removes the brand only PVID, Tag all or only Tag PVID.  Can someone help me with this?

  Also should I do at VIC or on the ESX host to see systematically the VLAN? The NICs appear to periodically just drag one of VLAN, generally the VLAN the DMZ.

  Any help much appreciated. This VLAN is new to me and I could not find very clear or basic info. on the configuration of VLANS.

  Hi danzbassman, the best would be to put each of the 4 corresponding ports on your Nortel 'Tag All' or "UNTAG PVID." switch only

  If you use 'UNTAG PVID Only' on the switch, this means that all executives EXCEPT those on the VLAN "primary" assigned to the port should have tags on them. Then, on the side of ESX vSwitch, you want to create your virtual machine with the many groups entered the VLAN ID field for each VLAN "secondary" on the ports of Nortel and the VLAN ID field blank for the VLAN "primary". For example, suppose that your four NICs (attributed to vSwitch1) were connected to ports 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the side of Nortel and you had three VLANS, 100, 200, and 300, with VLAN 100 defined as the PVID on each of the four ports. If you want your virtual machines to be able to properly access to all three of these VLANs, to put in place three groups of virtual computer on vSwitch1 ports, one with the VLAN ID set to nothing (for VLAN 100 traffic, because it is not marked), one with the VLAN ID value of 200 and another with the VLAN ID value 300.

  If you use 'Tag All', then you would follow the same procedure, except your first port group (one for traffic VLAN 100) should also have its VLAN ID set to 100.

• Double issue of configuration of video cards & where is MRQ?

  OK, I have two question. First of all is that I have a Quadro CX and GeForce 9800 GT and I was wondering if there is something special I have to do to get the PPro CS4 take advantage of the Quadro. From my understanding it will automatically pick it up and use it but I have to have my monitor connecting the Quadro or should I run it the 9800 GT? Also, when I visited, I notice that when I read in the body, the encoding pauses and resumes once I'm done overview whether in the body. I think I should be able to preview being plugged on the 9800GT and have that animate the preview while encoding will use the Quadro CX. I missing something here or is this a business of great programming? I think it wouldn't be that hard.

  Second question, is that I had some rough edges enough on my output video. The output video is 192 x 192 On2 Vp6 FLV, and the source is HDV 1080. I heard that the maximum resolution quality should be on. I searched and I am unable to find this and hoped I could get help here on the forums. I'm pretty new to this edition of thing, but my work gave me a configuration sweet freak'n, and I'm trying to optimize and get things working smoothly. I appreciate your help in advance. I'm happy to be part of the community.

• Issue by configuring the master repository in ODI

  I just downloaded and installed ODI. I wanted to create the master repository in Sql Server 2005 (service Pack2). I gave the following string for SqlServer: / / < servername >: 1433; selectMethod = cursor; databaseName = odimaster; integratedSecurity = false. I also entered a valid user name and password. Apart from that, I copied the sqlJdbc.jar file in the OraHome_1\oracledi\drivers directory.
  
  The above results in an error. All the world is facing this problem?

  Hello Amol,

  If you are using the same connection details like when you configure the repository but simply by changing the name of the base, then in theory this should work.
  It gives you the same message if test you for other databases.
  How you start the topology are managing in the start menu?

  Install a discrete video card will automatically disable the integrated video port when the card is detected by the BIOS.

  Many PC Slimline have power supplies of low-power and do not come with discrete graphics cards.  Your PC has only a 160 Watt power supply to install a video card is not going to work.  Some of the more recent PC Slimline have discrete graphics cards that are built according to the specifications of HP for PC with small power supplies (220 watts).

  Here's a guide that will allow you to connect a monitor to your AIO.  You will need to use a USB video adapter.  Here is a Search page on Newegg that shows the different versions of what you need.  Choose the one that corresponds to the type of connector on the monitor; VGA, HDMI, DVI.

• Issues of Configuration Lab Manager

  Hey,.

  So I tried to read documents about lab manager that we try to implement. Our lab environment has been previously implemented, and we had not considered using Lab Manager so far.

  Our installation is as follows: 3 data centers with two VM hosts in each and of course several VMS under.

  Our license is currently only 4 cpu, if he had to get a permit of expansion that I would be able to have the Director of the laboratory, managing multiple data centers? The current installation is on a virtual machine inside a data center and currently manages another data center.

  First, Lab Manager supports only a single data center object from inside of vCenter.  It would be possible to do the following:

  1. use multiple clusters in a single datacenter (easier)

  2. do you have multiple facilities of Lab Manager who manage different data centers. (overhead much more)... different installs... splitting the licenses.

  I highly suggest option 1, if possible.

  It would be much better to provide a simple Windows 2003 Server virtual machine to be the Lab Manager server.  You cannot install Lab Manager on the same system as vCenter or a domain controller.

  You can "resume" a model, but not a VM.  If you import a virtual machine, Lab Manager will make a copy to have an independent set of files to manage.

  Lets say I want to build a column chart stacked to the schools of the guitar. The school has grades 1, 2 and 3 and school B categories 3, 4, 5 and 6. Every school has students at each grade level. Each student has a dominant hand (right-handed, right handed or Ambidextrous to left). Now, I want to build a stacked column chart that shows the distribution of the dominant hand for each grade level in a school.
  
  
  It's my first goal: show what is the percentage of students at each grade level at the school selected are left-handed, Aurélien or Rightie.
  
  So first, I have a LOV which bears the names of the school. : P1_SCHOOL_NAME
  
  I'm building a stacked with the following series column chart:

  OK, so, if I choose a 2d column stacked, so you collect data with which seems close to what I want. You can see that in the category 2 to school 30 students are left handed 2 Amb and 60 are right-handed. You would see similar distributions for all levels, but because each grade level has a different number of students, each column is not the same height. Schools A and B teach grade 3, so of course grade 3 is the shorter column of each table of schools. (It should be noted here that the student_grade is the label in the SQL because every school has a different number and all ranks) In addition, this view is not perfect, because at this point, I'm not really interested in is how many students in each grade level in each group, I want to see what percentage of students in a quality level are in each group.
  
  If to change a type of graphic 2D stacked column (percent). OK, now each column represents 100% of the population at a level of quality, perfect! But wait, different distributions of my appearance. Grade 2 at the school now has 33% left-handed, right-handed Ambies and 33% 29! That's right! Data are now showing that 29% of my Ambies are of degree 2, 33% of my left-handed people are in class 2, etc... Exactly what I didn't want. I want to know what percentage of level 2 students are left-handed (or discount Aurélien, or right).
  
  Finally, the series sql statements have a link value that links to page 2 which has an IR each region in the stacked bar would become clickable so that when you click on the region of grade 2 left-handed, you are linked to page 2 IR with filters defined so that you can see individual students in category 2 that were left handed.
  
  So, after a lot of noise, I go to my real question: none of these scenarios work the way I want. At set up the series badly? How this task can be accomplished? Oh, and don't forget that links play an important role in the equation. Is there a resource out there to help me understand how to set up these cards to the APEX 4?

  Hi Austin,.

  My apologies, I see only this thread now. The behavior you reported has been previously reported and recorded as bug 10349789. This problem has been fixed in the development, and the fix will be available in our next release. In the meantime, Andy workaround must generate the graph you'd expect. Alternatively, you can customize the component yourself, to generate the tags as they would appear in a stacked graph, i.e. using values comes from the query in the chart series. With previous versions of the charts, I think that the calculation of the percentage value was necessary. However, this is no longer the case, and the setting of scale mode y-axis to PercentStacked just takes care of this, the values retrieved by the application of graphic series should be used for fill the item of the chart.

• NTP configuration on the fire power module

  Anyone know how I can configure NTP on a module of firepower of Cisco for a series of ASA5500 FW?

  I did the initial installation, registered the module with my defense Center, but now I need to change the NTP settings. Can't seem to figure out where to do this, and if I go through the Setup again, I'm worried it's going to ruin my registration.

  The best way to configure NTP recommended is to make a portion of the system policy in the Management Center FireSIGHT (CMF).

  System > Local > political system. Pass under the time synchronization and there, in the section updated platform support the NTP to be "Via NTP Defense Center" (aka FMC). Earlier in this article, point your "Defense Center" on an NTP server or a set of servers authoritative. Save policy and exit and deploy it.

  Otherwise, you will need to re-run the module setup. He should pre-fill the issues of configuration with the current values of the system.

• Routing issue of Cisco VPN Client ASA
