  Your only option is to go to the Task Manager/Unix command line and kill the ESSSVR.exe process. This process is blocked and all of the demolitions that you issue of EAS/MaxL won't fix.

• Issue of SSL - EAS

  Hello

  I implemented SSL to web destination layer (OHS). I was able to validate everything, including the workspace, smartview and studio FR. But unfortunately, at the launch of the Regional of the web service, I get this error when connecting.

  Just to add if you are not happy with the help of the url to directly access the jnlp then another option is:

  If windows open the registry on the computer of the EAS Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions\EssbaseAdminServices0\HyS9eas_epmsystem1

  Add a new JVM option for example JVMOption50 with the value

  -DEAS_FE_URL =https://: 443

  Increment JVMOptionCount 1 and restart the windows EAS service.

  If on * nix then edit setCustomParamsEssbaseAdminServices.sh and add the parameter above.

  Which is pretty solutions, if all goes well, we'll be pretty good.

• EAS does not connect via wifi company post - 1.3.5

  This seems to be a somewhat different issue of EE that some know, so it was recommended that I start a new thread. My question: I can access is no longer to EAS via the wifi of my company. It worked before 1.3.5. If I turn the wifi off, I can then connect EE without problem. I get no error when connected via wifi, rather e-mail and calendar just don't update.

  It turns out that our firewall is configured to disallow connections since our internal wireless to internal resources through external access (that is, accessible through the Internet). This explains why it is not working currently - other devices exhibit the same behavior, including iPhones and laptops.

• Disabled volume after changing a parameter in the ease of access

  I use an Asus laptop having Windows 7. Until yesterday, I found everything is fine but as and when I started my laptop today a few hours back & I was looking for "Easy access" option useful for blind, deaf and others who cannot use their keyboard / mouse. So, for the experience, I scored an of these option and then every now and then whenever I click on /open whatever it is windows 'blink' and then works as usual.

  But the real problem begins now, when I started the song there were no sound, I thought that maybe song damaged file so I started the other file & verified even with the video file but everything happened is that I can't find any noise.

  I even checked volume with button volume and to people with disabilities, all other parameters I did earlier for "ease of access" then also audio remains disabled.

  I googled for solutions and also checked with the game and options of the audio, video controller in Device Manager, but again, I have not found any hope. I tried to test the sound / speaker, but it comes after the message "the device is used by another application" but I don't know which application uses this program in the background like on the surface, there is no application running.

  Please give me the solution as soon as POSSIBLE. If there is no problem of driver / all parameters necessary for change / nothing else.

  Thank you for the update on the issue.

  Try to put the internal speaker as default playback device and see if it makes a difference. See the steps below to set the speaker as default playback device.

  a. click Start, type Sound in the box to start the search.
  b. click on his research at the top of the start menu.
  c. click the read tab notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users, the default device is internal speakers. Make sure that the audio settings are configured as expected.

  I understand how it could be frustrating when things do not work as expected. Please, I beg you, don't worry I'll try my best to resolve the issue.

  Method 1
  Step 1: I suggest to start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

  I bought a laptop Sony Viao on 19 October 2012.  This laptop came pre-installed with Windows 7 Professional.  I used the ease of upgrade to upgrade Windows at the ultimate addition.

  Since October 19 Microsoft doesn't have to issue a new serial number of the product.  My account status indicates that the order is underway.  It does not help to make a call of support for the call numbers eventually gets cut off, because it seems that the Microsoft call center staff is completely clueless about how to solve my problem.
  They have the audacity to tell me to buy a new update.  When I try to activate I just invited to enter a new product key that the existing key is not valid.
  I'm at the point where I'll try to find a pirated product key, because I WILL NOT BUY a new product key and pay for something that I'm supposed to have.  I put challenge Microsoft to report me to tell them I'll be using a pirated key until they solve this problem.
  For the moment is Microsoft who stole money from me, and I'll just steal it back.

• outline of export to xml_file... of EAS-&gt; editor MaxL, where is the export file

  I have no idea.

  Can someone explain the weather I do something wrong, or is there a person who faced the same problem?

  Issue solved after installation of SST instead of using the built-in http server. In OHA, he gives the flexibility to point to the DNS alias.

• EAS Activesync Palm Pre not syncing of calendar in Outlook items

  I just read a few messages that sound like they have the same problem I have.  I had the Palm Pre since June 6 and had absolutely no problem with EAS - NONE!  Has worked flawlessly!  However, today, I noticed that a calendar entry that I did on my pre was not appearing on Outlook (and Exchange accessed from the web).  Well well, after several soft resets, the removal and the reinstallation of my Exchange account, a hard reset and try the tip to the topic to manually set the time zone, I had no chance.  All emails, contacts are fine sync, forth - quite instantly, I might add!  And, if I add/remove/change an Outlook entry, my Pre is updated Pronto!  The only items not syncing entered calendar made from the front.  I don't know why it has become an issue all of a sudden.  I really hope someone can help!  Palm: Please help!

  I just put mine in New York City (EST) and now it's syncing. Its not synchronize all appointments I have recently installed on the pre, but brand new, I generate it don't.

• Pre and EAS 2007 policies: Possible to replace default MaxCalendarAgeFilter?

  My pre calendar shows that my previous 2 weeks of appointments of the Exchange, regardless of how far behind, I put to synchronize e-mail. I did some research and discovered that there is a strategy Exchange ActiveSync called MaxCalendarAgeFilter which seems to be the factor limiting, at least by default. Is it possible to change the settings on the meadow to substitute this plu email policy and pull EAS? Thank you. {Jonathan}

  Currently the EAS account is assigned to take only two weeks to prevent the good performance.

  This type of issue was sent to our Engineering Department as a feature request that changes would be made available through that update the air webOS.

• Pre EAS configuration steps

  First of all my environment:

  Windows Server 2008 running Exchange 2007 SP1

  Auto generated certificates (I didn't spit the outrageous fees public certificate yet)

  Palm Pre WebOS 1.04

  I had a devil of a time getting EAS to work, and I thought I'd share the steps we have taken to get there... Here are the General steps meant to help you where you need to go, I am not guaranteeing accurate and click screen.

  (1) make sure that you have a certificate generated by your server, yes it must have the name of your e-mail server either mail.domain.com in the certificate.

  (2) export certificate EXCHANGE, nowhere else, not IIS, not IE.  Follow this link to export the certificate of the Exchange shell and note that the user name field is not used for something in this field will not matter, but the password field must adhere to your strategy of password, so make sure that you meet the requirements of minimum password when you enter a password for your exported certificate file.  http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310778.aspx

  (3) followed the others posts on how to save the certificate on your pre.  Bottom line, connect to your pc via usb cable, USB drive, do a right-click on the cert file and send to, Palm Pre by car.  Disconnect before.  Then follow the steps to accept the certificate.

  (4) on the Exchange Server, make sure that Microsoft Active Sync is set up and configured to use SSL (Server Configuration/Client Access, click the Active Sync).  You must enable SSL under IIS to your Web console. You're in IIS and Exchange Management Console services manager.

  (5) right click on the Active Sync service, click Properties.  Make sure that your URL is correct and that your firewall/router is configured to pass 443 traffic to the IP address of web internal URL listed here on the property page.  Mine is in this format: https://mail.domain-name.com/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync

  6) click on the Authentication tab.  LEAVE THE BOX CHECKED for basic authentication... I had this not controlled and once we had the certificate and configured routing this was our last issue.

  7) go to your pre, make sure the cert is loaded with confidence.  Then configure your Exchange account for Regional service by following the steps.  You should be good to go!  I hope this helps.

  First of all, I got it to connect today.

  Yes, I was able to export the certificate of the Exchange Server with the .cer extension and install this on the pre.  So that the research on this more, I was convinced that the name of the subject of the certificate should match the field in my mail server address, I tried to connect to.  So, I thought that the name turned to the public in the mail server entry (for example, https://mail.mydomain.org) would not work with a certificate which had a name of topic for an internal domain name (for example, mail.mydomain.local)

  Another forum discussions seem to indicate clearly that the Palm software is not read topic several other names, no more, even if turned to the public name is included in the San of the self-signed certificate.

  These discussions have also suggested that the certificate that is really necessary is that of CA.  So, I opened the MMC on our mail server. Add the Certificates snap for the computer account; drill down to the root Certification authorities to trust; Open the CertAuth certificate and exported it in the same way (extension .cer base64, no key or password); This charge on the Meadow while leaving the other installed certificate.

  He signed the and immediately started the synchronization.

  I will experiment a little more to see if only one certificate is needed, as some authors have claimed.  I also wanted to play with a third-party domain certificate that we have, I understand also pose problems for owners of pre (since it is a generic cert instead of a specific for the mail server).

  Moreover, my Pre came with version 1.0.3 of the software and I have not yet downloaded 1.0.4.

• MEANS the issue of SHARES

  I have some problems with the implicit sharing. Its a parent with a child with consolidation + operator and parent being dynamic Calc.
  We are unable to edit, modify the data of the child because of the implicit sharing.
  
  I read that tacit sharing can be eliminated by applying a .cfg as IMPLIED_SHARE < App_Name > FALSE parameter.
  But this work force for me, I restart the essbase server but no use.
  
  I have also heard that the contour parameters more ride settings .cfg, but don't know where to find the parameters of contour regarding implicit sharing.
  
  Please advice, we are on Planning/Essbase 11.1.1.3 version.

  Let me guess, you have member (only child) and the calculated parent dynamically on the form?

  I had this problem and is not implicit sharing, even if she really, really, really seems to be that way at first. Come on, set it to never participate in planning (not EAS) – it will not fix it.

  The real answer is to not be calculated dynamically parents with one child - what's the point? As I wrote, if I could have the client just to do the right thing there would be no issue. It wasn't one of my best customers, to say the least, so I had to workaround.

• Issue business rules - cannot associate planning in environmental assessments (11.1.2.0)

  I am facing a problem when I try to associate a rule of planning business in the EA. When I try to develop the planning node to find our application to associate, I don't see anything under the node of the planning.
  
  Another thing that is strange is that I do not see that planning has added to the location node under Administration on the view of the company, but when I go to the "Locations" tab on my business rule and try to add the same planning repeats, and I am not able to do.
  
  In addition, I'm unable to see my business rule in Planning and no wonder, it's because I'm not able to associate the business rule to my plan of implementation planning in EAS and the appropriate location is not added.

  Is it EPMA then you will need to use the calc Manager, if one is your request or EPMA, classical planning are you sure that you have created the application to use business rules and not Manager Calc.
