Issues of Installation of Windows 7

I bought a laptop 'broken' off eBay as a fun project to see if I could make it work and a fun project. I was wondering how win7 space resumes and also know if a semiconductor CompactFlash card would also work faster than an SSD. Also, classic iPod uses hard disks of Zif/Lif, right?

Windows 7 uses 10 GB of disk space, but requires 16 to 20 GB to facilitate installation.

  • delete the partition after a failed installation of windows 10

    Hello world

How is it possible to delete partitions, if in disk utility, there is no possibility to click on the '-' key?

So I made a failure (several) attempts to install windows 10 on my new iMAC.

I could download an ISO of windows and start the bootcamp assistant.

In the last attempt of last night, I selected the bootcamp in windows installation partition, however, installing windows said it was impossible to read the hard drive.

I then re-formatted this partition (BOOTCAMP) in the installation of windows, and after that, still could not read.

Then, I deleted the bootcamp partition in windows and re-created a partition on "unallocated space" in the windows installation.

Installing windows 10 still wouldn't move forward then I've bailed out and went back to OS X with the hope of turning it back on (again) by deleting partitions.

I was unable to delete the Mac partition.

Then, I deleted this partition (the one original bootcamp) and reformatted as OS x journaled. At least now, I can see the Partition.

However in Diskutil, I was then impossible to delete this Partition. There is also a small partition 16 MB that cannot be erased.

Wizard bootcamp will be past a pop up station: the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition.

So I will now try to delete these partitions (the boy and the training camp original one) merge into the original and give then installing bootcamp, another go when I have a lot of energy!

any help would be appreciated. I'm a little cautious to use Terminal command lines for fear of ruining my new computer.

    1. your iMac has a Fusion drive?

    2. don't mix to disk utility and Wizard of BC. They can lead to a host of issues.

    3. If you do not typos in the Terminal, they provide much more rich in detail. You have a Time Machine backup, put in place?

4 can you post the output of the following Terminal commands?

    diskutil list

    Cs diskutil list

    sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

  • Satellite Pro A10 stops during the installation of Windows

I have a satellite Pro A10, which stops during the installation of Windows. The installation gets to the part where I need to select the HARD drive to install, then the system off just. I can restart it immediately, and the sdame happens.

If I enter the BIOS, everything is detected OK, and I've updated to the latest version (V1.4). Also when in the BIOS, the system will remain under tension for ever and a day! and no downtime. I have a couple of diagnostic CD, then run the tests is the same thing, but I ran the seagate diagnostic tool and the HDD OK passes, as does the main map, but cannot perform detailed testing that the system shuts down during the tests.

I suspect an overheating issue but would like advice.

Hmmm it s very strange. I thought that the HARD drive could malfunctions but it of very impossible if the HARD drive has passed the Seagate diagnostic test.

However, it would be very interesting to know if the installation of the OS would end with another HARD drive.
You know, it of always difficult to provide an exact solution without any diagnostic tests.

For me, it really looks like a hardware malfunction. So perhaps it would be advisable to contact the authorized Toshiba maintainer for a control of the laptop.
Guys could run tests and would situate the fault quickly.

  • Flow 11: I want to download the installer of Windows 10 for my workflow

My 11 flow HP crashed and does not start.

I want to download the installer of Windows 10 in order to be able to boot and install from a USB key.

Can I download it from the HP site?

    IAN-VANCOUVER

    Yes, both...

How the MS download tool usually does is it checks that you have already installed when you run the download tool to make sure that you download the same version.

But since you have to use another PC to download, just be sure that you download the SAME VERSION of Win10 you have on the PC.

    Good luck

  • Installation of Windows XP on a second disk hard SATA and booting from it.

    History:
I have a two year old computer and it becomes slow to start.  Its a P4 dual core 2.8GHz with 3 GB of RAM and a hard drive SATA 320 G, that left only 60 GB.  I tried to uncheck all unnecessary items at startup using msconfig, but its still quite slow.

    Proposed solution:
I bought a new HDD SATA of 500G and I thought performing a new installation of Windows XP on the new drive and boot from that.  I want to leave the old disk, as is if I can still access the programs and files that I have on this subject. That said, I will migrate probably all programs and regularly used files on the old drive on a new and let all my media files on the former.  I don't want to copy all just above (picture disc) because it will bring all the junk with her.

I backed up my important data to an external drive.

    Issues related to the:
Is there a problem to have windows XP on both drives?  Will I need to do anything to access my old programs on the start menu in a "new window" - what do I have to reinstall or can I just copy them into folder "program files" the new windows?  What is a reasonable way to speed up my machine?

Thank you very much for your answers.

You want to move the old SATA disk to controller 1 (although leave of you for now disconnect) and put the new drive on controller 0 and then install XP. Then set the old drive to the secondary SATA controller. You will need to install programs on the new drive; You may not copy or use the old disk. To stay in compliance with the EULA and activate the new XP successfully, you need to remove the old XP and just use the old disk to store data. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • HP 15-r103ne: error 0xc0000221 installation of Windows 7 64 bit on HP 15-r103ne

I got an error 0xc0000221 installation of Windows 7 64 bit on HP 15-r103ne.  I changed the HARD because its gone bad original disc and cannot be formatted. I tried to install windows 7 64 bit several times but I always had an error after the first reboot, and never fill the installion. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    @DidokB,

Thanks for posting back.  The other drives must have some sort of issue if they all failed to install.  If you have to install on the last of them, then is not the operating system recovery or the laptop.

With some drives, there could be questions that are not connected to bad sectors.  It may be something with reading / writing system.

Thanks again for the post and have a great day.

  • Installation of Windows service does not work after Windows Explorer 9 uninstalling and reinstall Explorer 8

Installation of Windows service does not work after Explorer 9 uninstallation and reinstallation of 8.  I followed several suggestions on this forum, but still no luck.  I ran the SFC system twice, who told me he had corrupted files.  "Some have been repaired and some might not be."  I then went in the event viewer after a start to the top and he stated that the 'Adobe APM service' is not found.  Also the "hpqddsvc' and the 'gupdate' is not found.  He tries to install something every time I start, but he abandoned.  I checked whether the system is on and disabled.  It's on.  There are a lot of small problems, but my main concern is the Adobe program.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe, but still get an error message that the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. Other suggestions?

  • Initial full Vista installation failed, shows 2 installs of Windows Vista from starting.

Second installation was successful, but the installation failed initial always appears at startup upward. At a complete loss to know where to find entries that say my system there are 2 installs of Windows Vista. When launched the CD to 'view' where this "alternate" install is shows unknown HDD to address 0 w a lack of disk space. Of course, it is more than likely that only some files in the registry or the system "ask" that there is a current installation. Where can I find these to remove them? Have not found anything on any forum re: this issue. TYVM<3!>

I see that a "MVP" edited the title of the question, but it did NOT reflect what the question. Please leave the full question in the title of the post. My problem is not a simple installation of 'failure '. I just want to find out where the entries are which are originally to show 2 Windows Vista o/s when I 'start' my computer when there are 'only' real installation. Note: I have two we HARD a WinXP Pro, the other Vista disks. At the start, it shows "Versions of Windows" and then Windows Vista and finally Windows Vista again. The non-existing o/s installation failed is the 3rd entry.

Modify the boot.ini file to remove the installation failed (make sure that you remove the right pair) or in msconfig, check the boot paths

  • Installation of Windows 7 with new HD failure

    Background information:

Just bought a new WD 1 b HD for my laptop Latitude E6510. Has decided to install Windows 7 64 bit version at the same time.

    Problem:

I get about 3/4 the way through the installation and "Complete the Installation" (where system restarts normally several times)... the screen blinks several times, and then restart. Loading Windows comes up and then a mistake with this message, "installation of Windows could not configure Windows to run on a hardware on this computer." I click ok, the system reboots, I get a "Setup is starting Services", then the same error once again!

I try to come back just to recharge my 32-bit version of Windows 7 and I get the same error.

Aid or reflections on this issue, would be greatly appreciated.

  • New installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on Sony VAIO key OEM

    Hi all

I recently bought a Sony VAIO VPCEB27FA, who is essentially a Middle East of the EB series model. The PC is literally loaded with all sorts of versions possible assessment and bloatware and it absolutely killed any computing experience. Windows 7 starts at more than 3 minutes. Yes, I timed it actually to see how long it takes for Windows load up before you can start actually using my computer. My old gateway desktop which is in reality a P4 and has Windows 7 installed on it opens in less than 45 seconds and is good to go. So I definitely do a clean install on my laptop to clean up all the UNWANTED horrible. But can I use the Windows 7 key on the back of my laptop after a clean install? I go to download the English version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit of Digital River. Currently, my laptop has the same version that is the English version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit as mentioned on this page from Sony

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/product/vpceb27fa

    Thank you

PS: - You can see for yourself on the page of Sony in the specifications of the software INCLUDED, how trialware and bloatware been installed by Sony on this machine. I hate Sony for this and I will never buy a VAIO again in my life.

There is no need to separately download OEM or retail of Windows 7 RTM installation DVD ISO, as the release of Windows 7 installation can be easily converted using simply the correct product key (for example OEM_SLP product key can convert an installation of Windows 7 at retail in OEM version), as issued by the OEM product keys has a different basis of the retail product key. For ISO of DVD images, the only difference between a Windows 7 RTM retail ISO and ISO of OEM of Windows 7 RTM is in position of EI.cfg file [channel], which specifies the sales channel to retail or OEM.

What can I do, please help me.

    Thank you.

    Hi Praveen,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

We need more information about the issue so that we can help you better.

    1. is Windows 10 still installed on your computer or you have wiped the hard drive?
    2. don't you upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

Thank you for details on the issue.

If Windows 10 is installed, you can downgrade to Windows 7 within 30 days of the upgrade. If it crosses the 30 day limit, the option in the settings that allows you to return to your previous version of Windows will not be available.

    Please see this link:
Return to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-10/going-back-to-Windows-7-or-Windows-81

However, if you want to install Windows 7 from an external installation media, you can re-create the rack installation of Windows 7 from this link:
    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows7

It is possible that the installation media does not develop properly. Please also make sure that you disconnect all the devices connected to the computer before installing Windows 7.

Note: You may lose programs installed after upgrading Windows 10. I strongly recommend to back up your personal files and data on an external hard drive.

    I hope this information helps.
