JDeveloper 11.1.1.5 questions

I have a process BPEL 518 lines long, so it is quite complex, but nothing spectacular.

JDeveloper becomes very slow, whenever I need to change this BPEL process. I increased allocation mem JDeveloper up that he would, about 1024 mb. Very slow I mean I click a scroll for example bar and he answers 5-20 seconds later, it becomes frustrating very quickly. This version of JDeveloper looks also extremely bug, the particular expression builder.

Is that what I can do to improve performance before the upgrade to another version? (Build is automatically disabled)

I have 8 GB of ram and a decent Quad core CPU, then the development computer is not the problem. The CPU usage goes to 100% whenever I discovered BPEL.

Hello

Go to JDev tab properties and reduce the level of mapping and delete also a correspondent, the proxy settings that are included in your JDev as your proxy details default setting.

Also remove the marking of the composite would also solve some problem of memory.

Hope this helps your problem...

Reg,
MS

  • Running Java off Jdeveloper - problem with dependent libraries program

Hello, I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7 and built a java application that imports XML files into Oracle and then exports an XML file to others pick up.  I use jaxb, java persistence, and javax.mail etc...

When I run the Jdeveloper application, it works well and now I'm trying to place the application in my u:\temp directory to test, run the command line.  Later, I will propose it to linux to run.

In Jdeveloper, I followed the instructions on adding all the pots of load in the application using file groups ( http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/06/01/creating-a-jar-file-in-jdeveloper/ )

You may create a very large jar with all dependent jar called xmlseprocessing.jar files and then I run as such in the back

    set the classpath =. ; javax.mail_1.4.jar; xmlseprocessing.jar

    SUP:

    CD u:\temp

    C:\Oracle11117\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin\javac commandLineStartup.java

    C:\Oracle11117\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin\java commandLineStartup

    I get this error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/mail/MessagingException

I look on the internet and finally decides to catch the javax.mail_1.4.jar put in my u:\temp directory and update the classpath and run it, , but then I get this error.

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/persistence/persistence

My hypothesis is that I have to enter each jar, add to my local directory and create a very long way as oracle at the start of the jdeveloper application (see below)

QUESTION: given that I added all the libraries needed to the xmlseprocessing.jar - why this phenomenon happens?  Any solution?  I'm doing something wrong?

Points awarded!  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's what I see in the log window when I run the application in Jdeveloper.

Please understand that I'm on a tight schedule and have spent two weeks in writing an app that I can't run outside of jdeveloper.  I have only some experience with java - I have worked intensively with Jdeveloper, but were only deploy to Weblogic, so a lot of this is foreign to me.

Well, there isn't an easy way to tell but it looks like you don't take into account your level of experience when you set (or wanted to) as "tight." Schedules should be based on: 1) the amount and type of work that must be done, 2) resources (including contacts) that are available and 3) the relevance of these resources (including skill level) to work.

Until that point, I was impressed by Java.  Now, I'm about to throw my computer out the window.

Hmmm - nothing of what you posted indicates that the problem is due to the computer or Java.

    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

This exception is thrown when a class is referenced by the code, or another class, and the required class can NOT be found on the way to class, or in pots on the classpath.

A teacher gives a workbook at home you and asking you to problem #17. You go home and start working on the problem #17. And then you discover this problem references diagram # 17 #17 b in the "lab examples document". Hmmm - you do not have such a document. You now have a "NohandoutFoundError". You cannot complete the assignment until you find the examples document and 'add to your classpath.

Your problem is just as simple as this example. Java must be able to find EVERY SINGLE CLASS that is referenced in the code you are running. These classes must be on the way to class, or in a jar file that is located on the classpath.

It's as simple as this - this exception indicates that you are referring to a class that cannot be found. Your mission, if you decide to accept it, is to find out WHY this class can not be found. The class is NOT on the classpath or does NOT match any of the jars, which is on the classpath.

The solution is also simple - add the class or jar in the classpath.

The hard part for you is to know how to determine ALL the classes that might miss instead of finding out about them both.

This task is complicated by your apparent use of a MASSIF of jars of third parties who are part of WebLogic or Eclipse.

Why your use of Weblogic and Eclipse jars if application is a standalone application? WebLogic's application server. And you said that you use JDeveloper so why the eclipse jar file?

    C:\temp\wljmsclient.jar; C:\temp\com. Oracle.toplink_1.0.0.0_11 - 1-1-5 - 0.jar; C:\temp\org. Eclipse.persistence_1.1.0.0_2 - 1.jar; C:\temp\com.BEA.core.ANTLR.runtime_2.7.7.jar; C:\temp\javax.p

The part above has a "toplink" pot, a pot of 'eclipse' and a jar of "bea". This seems to be a rather odd mixture of jar for a stand-alone application files.

I gave you the simple answer above - add missing classes or jars to the CLASSPATH.

If you need help more than that, then you need publish information on WHAT architecture is still using your application (appserver, EJB, etc.) and what 3rd party classes you THINK you are trying to use.

I know that shay is a very good fan to this, but I tell you, it isn't. you try to make things really easy, which complicate everything really really too. This is the error I got trying to deploy a very simple application.

Should not the remove method be defined in your (local or remote) EJB interfaces?

  • QBE on uncommitted in af:table data

    Hello
    I use Jdev v11.1.1.7.0.
I have an af:table in which I insert, delete, or back up data.
I also enabled on this table QBE.
If I add a few lines and back up the data before you do a query using QBE, it works very well. But if adding a few lines and without clicking on save I QBE, then it behaves erratically i.e. search results get lost when I remove the query criteria.
But if you try to add a row with the same primary key (which had in a row lost), it gives me the error. So that means that the rank is still there.

Anyone have any idea on this? I can explain in more detail if you wish. Is this default behavior of adf that is it does not support qbe on the unvalidated data?

    Hello

as an employee of Oracle, you can use the internal mailing list JDeveloper and internal forums (particularly when you are working with internal builds of JDeveloper)

To answer your question (assuming that the original Version of the application is based on an EO), set the query of the VO mode focus also on the feature cache. If the QBE is based on a custom ViewCriteria, then you can set this on the view criteria (see the second tab in the editor view criteria). If you use the view "all attributes that can be interrogated" by default, use the following Java code to set the query VO mode

    vo.setQueryMode(ViewObject.QUERY_MODE_SCAN_ENTITY_ROWS |) ViewObject.QUERY_MODE_SCAN_DATABASE_TABLES);

  • Not able to run jspx Pages of BPM Application by using built-in WLS JDev ADF

    Hello

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 BPM 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6, model: BC4J

I created a BPM Application in JDeveloper, with a process and a ViewController ADF for user interface project and a model project
The application is deployed on the WLS and works when I test it in the workspace of BPM.

But the UI of the ADF is based on custom of the database data and is a bit heavy UI with lots of data and features.
I am trying to create entire user interface in taskflows separate and use as auto generated pages created by the plugin BPM in JDev position regions.

Can I deploy the entire application and test it in the workspace of BPM, but it takes a lot of time for the process of generation and deployment.

So I tried to create a stand-alone page in the ADF ViewController project and use the ADF taskflows in the page to test in JDev integrated WLS.
So in this way I can concentrate on test only the ADF UI related code and not worry the BPM process to test the user interface. (Assuming that the process works well).

Please note that I don't want to test the BPM process (at this point), but I want to test only the built-in ADF UI of WLS.

When I try to run the stand-alone page in WLS, it gives me the error below.

Has anyone tried to run ADF UI pages in a BPM Application using JDeveloper.
Is there another way to test only the pages of user interface instead of deploying the entire BPM to WLS?
Is there a setting etc, we can change and turn the page in JDeveloper?

    Thanks for any help

    Hi Sameer
    1. I know exactly what your condition is and what you're trying to do. I'll go with a few assumptions about what you have and on the basis that I say, unfortunately NO, that you try will NOT work. But there are other ways to test your stuff.

    2. you have a bpm, i.e. with a single process bpm application and a Web of TaskForms project (which has taskDetails pages that use your JSFF of fragments using the af:region tag). Don't forget to build the TaskForms project by selecting a. File TASK etc. You have a lot of things db backend and I hope that you have created entities, EJBs and DataControls. Then, you create links in JSFF etc. Everything is deployed on a full SOA domain fleded and you're good. BUT Yes, it is very tedious and painful to test. I agree.

    3. now you want to test only UI part without any process and tasks. To do this, you try to deploy on field of JDeveloper's integrated WLS and it does not work. Yes, it will fail, and it will not work. Because the domain default wls is a simple domain with just core j2ee and some modules of adf deployed. BUT your TaskForms also has some modules of bpm/soa. In JDeveloper, select your project TaskForms-> right click-> properties-> libraries project and Classpath-> right side, you see a lot of modules BPM for ex: Module of BPM. If you view it, you will see the modules (jars defined in this ex: bpm - services.jar). NOW your integrated domain name do NOT have these deployed modules, and so you get exactly the error that is entirely logical.

    4. go in your area/config integration jdeveloper and open config.xml file folder. Open the file config.xml of your entire standalone soa domain also. Search for "oracle.soa.workflow.wc" in these two files. You will find this soa area but NOT in the area of default jdeveloper. It is the question.

    5. now, you can not make your name domain integrated to work for SOA/BPM applications. This requires a lot of effort to add all modules and corrupt your domain also name. I would not recommend this.

Now, is there another way, you can test your pages of fragment that has stuff heavy backend. Yes. In your app JDev, create a new Web project with only the ADF modules. Remember when we create an application for the PIA, it creates 2 ViewController and model projects. So everything you want is create a new ViewController project that has all the web, jsff, javax, adl added modules. In what you create DataControls for your EJBs and create or copy Fragments that you already have. Then create pages of simple jsxp as hell01.jsxp, hello2.jspx etc and include your fragments using af: region etc. You can deploy your application to the exclusion of TaskForms on domain JDeveloper. As to the level of the EAR, creating a new deployment profile. Add all (EJB) projects, including the new project viewcontroller except for process and TaskForms. I am convinced that it will work. Then you test your JSPx files directly their performance:
http://localhost:7101/myViewWeb/faces/hello1.JSPX (assuming that the file jspx is under folder contenuWeb)
    http://localhost:7101/myViewWeb/faces/hello2.JSPX

If none of the fragments needs input data set, you can still create a PageFlowController class and have life like prepareModel etc. methods to define the criterion of data entries. Assign to this pageflowcontroller the pagedef. So every time that you run jspx, he calls this controller pageflow. Or just have a few fields on your screen jsff that stores data and a link to a managed bean. In this way, test you and certify your screen jsff, connections, ejb code backend db stuff etc etc. Once it works, it will work if you put this jsff in file taskDetails.jspx also with maybe a few minor changes.

If you want to really test your UI and all the backend without too much stuff to focus on the tasks of process / and NOT using soa domain, then this is the only way to go. I wouldn't recommend updating JDev field with stuff of soa/bpm. This is just my 2 cents opinion.

    Thank you

  • ADF and security

    Hello experts!

I just started with JDeveloper and ADF. My question is:
is it possible to make data-based authorization. For example: I have x storage locations. I want to affect the location of storage users U1 and U2, S2 and S3 of the storage locations for the U3 user S1, etc... I want to have a single page, where each user sees only the data for storage locations assigned. And each user can change data assigned. Thus, the U1 user can change the location of storage S1 data, but cannot change, S2 and S3. I want to have the data for authorization in DB. Is this possible?

    Thank you!

Basically, you can define the object privileges and grant roles. When the user accesses a particular page, you can control access, as if the user has have delete privilege, you can disable the button Delete.

  • Default values: when they are applied?

    Hello
I have a doubt about the precedence of the logic fails. According to my understanding, failing sequence by reducing precedece is as below

    Controller (more)
    Customization
    VO (CREATE METHOD)
    EO (CREATE METHOD)
EO/VO ATTRIBUTE defaults to the value at the time of the definition of EO/VO in JDeveloper. (Lowest)

Now the question is where comes from "default values" by setting the initial value of Jdeveloper comes into this list?

    Abdul Wahid

default values in the parameters of jdeveloper is the lowest.

  • Application server file system permissions

I run my application on Oracle Application Server and at one point that the application must read and others to write some files to remote paths. Still, it fails with the error "access denied." With local path that it works fine, the same error occurs with the network drive mapped. The same exactly app would be fine works of JDeveloper10g (on built-in oc4j that is).
The operating system is Windows XP, JRE 1.5, Application Server 10 g.
    Any help is very appreciated!

    Hello

If the Application Server HTTP server is started as a service, make sure that it starts with a user account with permission to the network and writing. However, appears not to be a JDeveloper problem and, therefore, the question must be poszed the Forum of OracleAs, not here

  • JDeveloper ide question - attributes sorted 12 c

    Hi all

This may seem like a stupid question, but how do I cancel the sorting of attributes to a display object or an entity objects?

    Thank you

After following file .jdeveloper for the changed files and playing with the sorting, I found that the files that change when you sort the attributes or change the column width in the IDE.

    .. /system12.1.3.0.41.140521.1008/o.BC4J/jboVoAttrColumn.properties

    and

    .. /system12.1.3.0.41.140521.1008/o.BC4J/jboVoAttrColumn.properties

You can change the value first after the sign '=' to 'NAME' to .

Alternatively, you can delete the two files and do with it!

  • JDeveloper Hello World Tutorial - Property Inspector question

Already posted in the JDeveloper Forum (Re: JDeveloper Hello World tutorial - property inspector question but advisable to post in the Forum OA instead...)

I downloaded and unpacked JDeveloper via:

Patch 8431482 JDeveloper 10 G with Extension OA ARU to R12.1.1

    The JDeveloper I use is:
    Studio Edition Version 10.1.3.3.0.3
    Build JDEVADF_10.1.3.3.0_NT_RELEASE
I unzipped JDeveloper in a "jdev" folder on my drive D:\, and project files are stored here:
    D:\jdev\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects

I am following the tutorial "Hello World":
    /jdevdoc/Webhelp/Toolbox/Labs/lessons/Hello/gs_hello.htm

    I created a new project:
    Name: HelloWorldOAProject
    Default Package Name: oracle.apps.ak.hello
    And a new Page:
    Name: HelloWorldPG
    Package: oracle.apps.ak.hello.webui
    However, when I get to:

Step 4. Change the region (upper level) Page layout

    It is said:

JDeveloper automatically creates your area of provision of high level for you page when you create your page.

The property inspector in the manual shows various headings:
    - General
    - Functional
    - BC4J
    - Navigation
    - Visual
    - Personalization
On my test version, I only have these topics:
    - General
          Attribute Set
          OA Extension Version
          File Version
          Comments
     - User Defined
          Attributes 1 to 15
As I don't have the same positions in the property inspector, I can't continue with the tutorial.

I was wondering what I could do wrong?

    Any advice much appreciated!

    Thank you

    Hello
When you select the name of the page in the window structure, it will show only the headdings 'Général' and 'User Defined'.
When you select the level region (pagelayout) top of page in the structure window then it will show "General", "Functional", 'BC4J', 'Navigation', 'Visual', "customization" etc.

    Kind regards
    Naren.

  • newbie JDeveloper Setup question

    Hey people.

I'm a new ISV SE working to familiarize myself with things.

    Environment:

    Windows7 64 bit

    Java version "1.8.0_60".

    Tries to install:

    Installing Oracle JDeveloper Studio

    jdev_suite_121300_win64.exe

When I run the installer, it dies on the market 'Prepare' with this message:

java.io.IOException: C:\.oracleprinters\Middleware\Oracle_Home\inventory\Queries\jdkGeneralQueries\12.1.3.0.0\jdkGeneralQueries.jar (the system cannot find the path specified)

My machine has a C:\.oracleprinters directory, but this subdirectory is not there.

    Advice would be useful?

    Carl

Have you been asked to a Jdev installation folder in?

You have another installation of Oracle on this pc?

I never heard of puff, a folder named .oracleprinters, but it can be created by the installer itself. If it is empty, you can remove it and try again.

Did you start the installer as an administrator?

  • JDeveloper DESIGNWEBCENTERPSPACES.jws question

    I use Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 & 11.1.1.7.1, Oracle, Designwebcenterspaces.jws 11.1.1.8. I'm also using Oracle Webcenter customization framework & Webcenter F framework and Services Design extension (11.1.1.8.6, 11.1.1.8.5, 11.1.1.8.4, 11.1.1.8.3, 11.1.1.1.8.2).

We do a Webcenter Portal Server development. We use Oracle JDeveloper to create our models specifically our page templates.

I'm following this section of the Oracle Documentation in order to create my model of Webcenter Portal Page

55.1.2 setting up your JDeveloper environment for the development of the asset

    So I opened the DesignWebcenterspaces.jws (http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/tech/webcenter/files/DesignWebCenterSpaces_11.1.1.8.0.zip).

Once I opened DesignWebcenterspaces.jws, navigate to the section of the file called siteTemplate. I right click on the folder and select new-> JSF-> JSF page template.

At this point, I'm trying to create a page template test.jspx. I don't place any content/control on this page template.

Once the page is created, I'm trying to do a right click on the test.jspx page template to create a portal of resources.

Invalid path to the content directory...

How can I solve this problem?

  • jDeveloper debugging question

    Hello

I'm new to the development of the OFA and am under jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 for development. I have managed to download code from the server on my local and successful machine to launch the application from my office as well (loan application). I want to know how to enable application logging or debugging functionality so that when I run the application, I can see the activity on the jdeveloper console? In one of the site he talks about changing the project properties (Configuration-> development-> Runner) and add a parameter - dbjo debuggeroutput = consile. However, in the current version of jdeveloper, I don't see this option at all.

Can some please provide some guidance?

    Thank you

  • Setting up the environment of Applications Dev fusion Jdeveloper - version questions

I am facing problems regarding the versions of installed packages.

    https://blogs.Oracle.com/fadevrel/entry/jdeveloper_and_fusion_applications_explained

The post was very useful. But the expansion of fusion development pack causes problems of version.
I installed 11.1.1.6.2 Jdeveloper on 32-bit Windows computer. I installed the packages, but four packages are in trouble.
One of the package is not installed because the minimum version required for oracle.ide (package) is 11.1.1.6.62.98 and existing is 11.1.1.0.11022.xxxxx(I j'ai oublié le nombre). How to get around these problems of version. Unless I have install the fa_dev_bundle.zip, I can't have a role of Fusion application customizations and extensions, right?

To summarize, there are some issues with the versions. Versions are earlier than necessary or there is any required version. How to solve this?

I would be happy if you can point to an another forum/page/documentation that can help me find a solution.

    Harsha,

I'm glad you found my blog useful. Have you seen the second part that I just posted a few days ago by chance?

    https://blogs.Oracle.com/fadevrel/entry/jdeveloper_and_fusion_applications_explained1

It covers installation of all extensions and configuration of the built-in WLS field.

    I hope this helps.

  • Question of JDeveloper display preferences

    Hi all

I just started using JDeveloper (version 11.1.1.2.0), and one thing that bothers the heck out of me, it's the line dotted above each method. I went so all the menus preferences and searched online, but I can't seem to understand how to turn off this option! It looks like this:

    .......................................................................................................................................................................
    public static String getObject1 (HttpServletRequest request, String param_name) {}
    return getParameter (request, param_name, null);
    }

    .......................................................................................................................................................................
    public static String getObject2 (HttpServletRequest request, String param_name, string default_value) {}
    return getParameter (request, param_name, null);
    }

    .......................................................................................................................................................................
    public static String getObject3 (HttpServletRequest request, String param_name, string default_value, int param3) {}
    return getParameter (request, param_name, null);
    }

When you turn on the right margin to 80 characters and line numbers, then, it looks like a spreadsheet application and is terribly distracting.

    Can someone help me?

This setting is configured here: Tools-> preferences-> Code Editor-> syntax colors.

Choose the 'Java members Separator' and delete the line style.
