  From your home screen, go to Options > typing and entry.  There are two categories, you'll want to look at: tactile sensitivity and Trackpad sensitivity.  Go to each of them individually, have fun with the numbers a bit and see if that solves your problem.

  Today, I found my trackpad on my BB9900 had ceased to work for any scrolling. I could still use it as a button to select something, but not to move. So after the reboot to check that I had installed any new software or applications during the last month or so and even pulling the battery... I know that I know that it still did not work.

  I then plugged on my laptop to try reloading software. When I did he wanted to update BB Desktop Manager. So of course I did. (BTW the BB connected at this stage) After the update when you try to connect the BB all I get is this error "RIM Handheld Communications Manager has stopped working". I restarted the laptop and the BB just to be sure, but nothing. Now, I have a BB that doesn't scroll and BBDTM which does not connect. Advice?

  

  Either by the way, I also tried changing trackpad sensitivity and turning on an audible scroll but it did not a difference, nor I heard no sound scroll.

  Hello Elmerlang,

  Have you looked at this?   Go to the Apple logo (upper-left) > System Preferences > Trackpad.   At the top are three options.  Choose to point and click.

  Then you can play with the click (beginning in middle), then follow-up speed (about three places from the left).

  And that still leaves room to go to less sensitive.

• mouse / trackpad medium sensitive & can not change

  My mouse / trackpad is so sensitive that he clicks on his own all the time.   I reduced the trackpad horizontal and vertical sensitivity at 50 and it works well.

  Since the upgrade to Sierra, did someone else, difficulties with the Magic Trackpad 2 and using the force click to pull up definitions? If I turn it back to "tap with three fingers," it works, but is not the "click with one finger. In fact, I'm not sure I can get this intermediate response click at any point that used to be present in El Capitan.

  If I understand correctly, you are using macOS Sierra and you try to use the power of touch, but it does not perform this action.
  I would recommend that you read these articles, they explain if your device supports the Force Touch, with a setting to enable and disable the Force Touch and how to set the sensitivity and how to turn the Look up feature words.

  My cursor/trackpad on my MBP 2011 acts erratically and has a mind of your own. Desktop computers are moving left and right at random, the screen grows and Launchpad launches independently. The trackpad lack of sensitivity and so it is almost impossible to control the cursor. The problem is the same mode without failure.

  I deleted all Bluetooth devices. I did a reset of the SCM and LANDAU. I removed the battery, which, to my untrained eyes had look ok, although the left side screw blocking, closest to the road, he lost, is envelope so the screw doesn't help. • Trackpad acting odd.  Insensitive to touch and top with 1/3 doesn't work.

  HI, my Macbook Air is just by its care of apple for 3 years and the trackpad has starting acting weird.

  It is very sensitive to the touch and the top of page 1/3 in particular is almost dead, unless you rub hard.  He gets very nervous to use, and it has now got to the point, it is unusable.

  Another side effect, it seems that the keyboard is blocked sort of as if SHIFT CAPS LOCK is activated when the trackpad is odd.

  If I connect a magical mouse and disable the trackpad, and then it works fine and no problems with the keyboard.

  So my thought was the trackpad is defective.  I bought a new replacement apple trackpad and replaced it thinking that would solve the problem, but it's exactly the same way - so it doesn't seem like the trackpad and would point to something between the trackpad signal and I think that... the card mother maybe?

  Any ideas?
