JO 8000 Pro install error - hpznui01.exe has encountered an error

Implementation error when trying to install the drivers/software for the new OfficeJet Pro 8000 printer.   I get to the point where the installation process asks me if I want to set up a wired or wireless, and after selecting wireless, I get the error, "hpznui01.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience. »

I am running XP Pro (SP3) in an administrator account and have my antivirus (AVG) and firewall (Comodo) turned off, but still not the error at each attempt.

Edit: Someone on another forum suggested that the installation could work if I removed IE8, but that made no difference.

Well, my problem is solved, but it wasn't anything on my XP machine that has helped.  I uninstalled my firewall, anti-virus, and former HP printer driver and was still getting the error.  I just got a new Vista machine, so I was able to do the installation of the printer wirelessly on the Vista machine and then only I was able to install the OfficeJet 8000 driver on the XP machine.

  • "NTVDM. EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close"error after installing the update of security KB2707511

After you install the update of security KB2707511 when I try to open a ms - dos 16-bit program, I get the following error: "NTVDM. EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. " Application does not start. I can run without error command.com. Uninstall KB2707511 in Control Panel, add & delete, the application works. Install KB2707511 error occurs.

I have a lot of customers running a 16-bit MS-DOS - program that receives the same error.  It seems not to be a malware problem, as it is homogeneous across many machines (unless, of course, all have the same problem of malware).  By uninstalling the KB2707511 and the KB2709162 they all work. Something in these updates is in conflict with something in these dos programs causing the "NTVDM. Erorr EXE'.

    Hey Armando,.

We will need details of the program you are trying to uninstall as said by Stefan to help you with the problem.

Come to the error, here are two ways to fix.

    Method 1:

Reinstall the program from the installation source, and then Uninstall it. This helped to eliminate many applications successfully.

    Method 2:

Manually remove the program from the registry.

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following windows Help article.

    Back up the registry
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-the-registry

After you back up the registry, follow these steps.

    (a) click Start and type regedit.

    (b) click on regedit.

    (c) in the registry editor, find the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Each key listed under Uninstall in the left pane of Registry Editor represents a program that is displayed in the list of installed programs, programs and features.

    (d) to determine which program that represents each key, click the key and discovers the following values in the details on the right pane:

DisplayName: Data of the value of the DisplayName key is the name listed in Add / Remove programs.

    - and -

UninstallString: The value of the UninstallString key data the program used to uninstall the program.

    (e) after you identify the registry key that represents the program, right click on the key in the left pane of the registry editor window, and then click Remove.

    (f) click Yes in response to the message "are you sure you want to delete this key and all of its subkeys?

    (g) close the registry editor.

    See if that helps.

    Kind regards

  • At startup, Error Message: dd.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

Every time you start the Error Message is: dd.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Close.

"dd" is - in this list.  Looking more far over the line to SD in this list...

What is the 'command' that launches the application (perhaps to widen the column to see everything) and what is its 'location' (perhaps to widen the column to see everything)?

    (Only for the DD.)

You could uncheck here, restart and see if it happens again (it will not).

Then, with the information that I just asked for, there's the real 'location' and remove the 'command' begins with manually to get rid of it permanently.

    Please check the juans suggestion:
cfmain.exe - This is a component of the Toshiba network device. Network device Toshiba is Toshiba network device selector. For starters, this application requires a common Module of Toshiba ACPI and hotkey wireless.
Well, because of this description that I recommend you to reinstall the common modules and wireless keyboard shortcut utility

I recommend to uninstall the application from the--> utility Control Panel programs & features and then put it back. You can use the charm of the search and the type of programs & features. Click on the above icon to call the utility.

Find the Recovery Manager from the list of drivers and applications and put a checkmark in the box to the left and then click install in the lower right corner.

In any case, I re-installed Chrome and the message stopped since then. The computer works perfectly now.
