  Hello everyone. I tried to configure cisco AIR-CAP1602i-E-K9 series access point is default for the configuration files and other settings, I guess you are looking for WLC. but I do not have a WLC I want to configure the AP a standalone conceerne Access point. I connected via switch where all the ports on the switch are vlan 10 switch is connected to a router and I have configured the router as DHCP server. It is my first time that I've never touched a cisco point for configuration of access. below is the error that was coming up on the screen countinously when I access the AP via the console. Kindly any assistance in this regard would be highly appreciated. Thank you

• PC8132F to Cisco Catalyst 3600

  I hope someone can help me here, I'll have questions, get a channel on port with 802. 1 q, working between a stack of 2 devices of the switches 8132F and a single Cisco Catalyst 3600, this switch series switch cannot be removed due to regulations graduates by a Government Department that works to and I need to put an effective link between the switch and our new 8132F switches (this was easy until the network was fully Cisco) but for the life of me I can't not operate.   Here are the docs for you to configure the Basic for AP switch port configuration IE 2600 s and wlc.

  WLC port must be configured as a trunk.

  Port of the AP must be access.

  CAP2600 series requires software 7.2.110.0 wlc minimum (make sure you have it or above release)

  If you choose the option dhcp 43, it uses the TLV format. Type is always f1, the length is 4 * (wlc number for which you want to provide discovery for, in your case) Value = Hex conversion of the wlc management ip address.

  If you get a C1-AIR-CT5508-K9 , then you should not have licenses on the secondary unit (who you called unit HA). However if this is not the case then the usual requirement of license AP 50 County should hold to convert a secondary WLC. The number of licenses AP 50 can be registered license C1-WLC-1 pool.

  Second, if you use both WAN interfaces, you will need enable HTTPS protocol binding. If (encrypted) HTTPS traffic is distributed between the two WAN interfaces, it can cause instability when you browse to secure Web sites. To avoid this, you must direct all HTTPS traffic on a specific interface.

  To do this, go to system management > Dual WAN and select HTTPS as the service. Enter your LAN range as the IP source address and the 0.0.0.0 - 255.255.255.255 as the address IP of Destination. Simply bind HTTPS to the WAN 1 or 2 WAN.

  For a demonstration of the concept starter pack a VCS may be feasible, but if you start with

  CTS systems, I would say it is a nogo

  You use CUCM for CTS systems, have the VCS - C for your internal network where

  JabberVideo and MX200 can register and then the VCS-E for external/b2b communication and

  Maybe external registration + TMS to manage.

• Cisco Anyconnect VPN does not work in windows 7 64 bit

  I found that the cisco anyconnect (version 3, any series) does not work in windows 7 (64-bit).
  The vpn is connected, but there is not any internet access.

  I tried to solve the problems of:

  -Disabling the firewall.

  -disable the anti-virus etc.

  But while I tried using with 32 bit, it works very well.

  Also, I found that there is not a specific version of anyconnect vpn for only 64-bit.

  Do any body have the idea how to solve this problem, either it's a bug of cisco vpn itself?

  Certainly, you just need to install a later version of AnyConnect.  You need a Cisco, for example a SmartNet maintenance contract, to download the new versions.

  We bought new devices Cisco WLC 2500 and 2600 AP.

  We used the Cisco APs in stand-alone mode and I was pretty familiar with these nodes of AP.  but I do not know how to set up and attach it to my WLC with AP LWAP mode im totally new. I installed the DHCP server in my network and my 2600 TOWER can take ip from dhcp server, but he does not have part of my WLC, I know not why, and I couldn't find a good intruction on internet.

  Can any send my step by step guide on how to join Cisco AP a WLC please?     I have a lot of experience on the networking side but not on the wireless world please help

  Another thing, my country Code is not included in the Cisco WLC, what should I do?   My country is of the Afghanistan, but its code is not exist in WLC version 7.0

  The AP we are installing in Afghanistan.  but Afghanistan is not included on the list of regularity domains ,  that is why i chose US during the setup process.

  And where the WLC is going to be installed?  If it's in the same country, then change the country to the same regulatory domain with your access point or AP will never join the controller.

• Circuits on the physical virtual network

  I'm trying to implement trunking to route traffic to vlan tagged from the virtual to the physical.

  I have a cisco 2900 2 layer switch series.

  I created a virtual swtich and have only 1 portgroup for now. The portgroup must have 4 VLANS. I have configured the parameter vlan in the portgroup 4.

  On the physical switch I configured the port that connects to the esx NIC that the virtual switch uses an uplink as follows:

  No tap

  When I use sh int trunk command I can see that the port is certainly the installer on the trunk and is using 802. 1 q encapsulation.

  I joined a virtual computer to the vSwtich and the portgroup which is put in place for the vlan 4

  I have setup the next physical port on vlan 4 as an access port.  and connected to a laptop

  The laptop computer and the virtual computer are in the same subnet, but they cannot ping each other.  Later, I'll add other exchanges to other VLANs to the swtich, but I want to get the connectivity on the trunk port before proceeding.

  Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

  There are a few additional settings, you may need to configure the physical port. Take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1004074 for an example of configuration of VLAN.
