jpg file is not displayed in windows 8

they display correctly in ordinary desktop view, but not in the viewer of windows 8.

I read something about 3 analyze the files but I just copied some pictures on the net for reference, so I don't know how they were created

Hi, Melinda,

1. you have everything installed on the computer of third party photo editing software?

2 What problem confined to specific files? It worked before?

3. are you referring to Windows Photo Viewer?

The image file format is not supported, or you do not have the latest updates to the photo viewer.

Windows Photo Viewer can only display the file types .jpg and .jpeg, .tif and.tiff, .png, .gif, .bmp and DIBs, .wdp .

Choose the programs Windows uses by default

  • JPG files is not displayed when I put them in Dreamweaver CS5

HEY people: I've been a user of Dreamweaver MX for the years running on Windows XP and the Suite CorelDraw 12.  I loved.  Never had a problem.  The hard drive is dead and I was forced to buy a new, and I am now under Windows7 I hate with passion.  I also had to upgrade to Dreamweaver CS5 and CorelDraw X 5 because none of the programs were compatible with Windows7.  Sorry about that.

My problem is all of a sudden, the CorelDraw files that I export to jpg in my web directory are not displayed when I place a placeholder image on the page.  I drag the target to the file and the icon changes to a broken image rather than the file appears as it would normally.  I can change the image to a png file and it will appear, but I didn't do anything the jpg appear.  First of all, I thought it was some kind of permission problem, because the jpgs in the directory all have liitle gold padlock icon in the lower left corner.  I can make these go away with a complicated set of clicks on the page permissions for the directory, but that does not appear on the page.  I have no idea how to deal with this.  I'm pulling my hair out because I got hundreds of graphics files on the site and moat of them will not be displayed.  any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Error message - browseui.dll file is not a valid Windows image in the Windows XP computer.

Original title: how to fix browseui.dll without original windows disc?

    Hello

    Well, kids, here's the deal.

I myself locked out of my computer and installed PC login now erase my passwords. It has worked flawlessly, and I now have my computer back after months and months.

There was only a single small strangeness: whenever I connected my computer, he asked me to check my drive. Looking forward to get my computer and running and customized how I like it, I bypassed it the first few times. Then, when I had a few minutes, I thought I had better let the disk check, so I left it.

NOW, when I turn on my computer, I get an error message that my browseui.dll file is not a valid windows image and my windows Explorer does not work. So I've been doing on the web looking for a solution via the Task Manager, which is a pain. Someone suggested to use the scannow in the command prompt command line, so I tried, but it requires my disk of windows XP which I think can be in a different State with my mother.  So I simply bypassed it whenever he had the drive and VOILA! all peachy.

Until, that is, I turn on my computer again. We're back in the same place.  Well, this analysis running and without going through the disc each time took me about an hour, and I can't do that whenever I need to use my computer.

I tried the system restore, no change. I tried from the command prompt and choose a date AND choose "last good configuration" in the menu f12 or f8.  Without peanut.

    We are this:

    1. is there a way to correct this file without the disc?

    2. can I get another copy of the disk without having to buy it?

    3. Although I'm not PARTICULALRY, would be the Windows 7 upgrade solves the problem? (But I really like my XP...)

If the c:\windows\system32\browseui.dll file is damaged or missing, Explorer.exe does not start and you may see a message like this:

If the c:\windows\system32\browseui.dll file is corrupted, Explorer.exe does not start and you will see a message like this:

    Explorer.exe - bad Image
The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\BROWSEUI.dll is not a valid Windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.

You can click OK and get to an empty office with only your display background image but still be able to maneuver with the Task Manager.

If missing the c:\windows\system32\browseui.dll file, Explorer.exe does not start and you will see a message like this:

Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component: this application has failed to start because BROWSEUI.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

You can click OK and get to an empty office with only your display background image but still be able to maneuver with the Task Manager.

Since we know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the dllcache folder, you can use the Task Manager to replace the file missing or distressed.

From the Task Manager, click file, new task (run...) and then click Browse and navigate to the c:\windows\system32\dllcache folder.  Make sure the "Files of type" box is set to show all files (or you will not see any), and then click OK to display all files.

Locate the copy of the browseui.dll file backup in the folder c:\windows\system32\dllcache, made right click and copy and go back up a folder c:\windows\system32, right-click in an empty area and paste the file there.  Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

You can then start the Explorer in Task Manager by clicking file, new task (run...) and in the "Open:", enter:

    Explorer.exe

Click OK to launch the Explorer and your office must return.

Or after replacing the file missing or suspicious, just restart the system task manager by clicking on stop and choosing restart and then Explorer will start to him only when the system is restarted.

If your computer to check your drive at every reboot, which means the "dirty bit" on the volume was probably settled and the only way to clear the dirty bit must run a chkdsk/r (which XP trying to do).   The dirty bit can be defined on a volume if there is a power interruption e.g. (plug pulling, using the power button / stop, etc.).

Sometimes, XP can't erase the bit of impurity in this way and it is preferable to run chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console so you can actually see what he does and run it again if necessary.

If you do not have any bootable media XP start in the XP Recovery Console, you can create a bootable XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console CD and do all your work from there.

You can even replace the file browseui.dll from SP Recovery Console if it is your desire.

Need instructions to create a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console?  No Microsoft Support Engineer seems to know how to do this, but I do and will instruct you in the next reply.

  • Thumbnails of files is not displayed correctly?

My question is specific to the video files by extensions of: .avi, .mkv, .mp4, .flv

On my desk, I have 1 .avi file. It displays a thumbnail of a still image of the film. Yet many others my .avi or other video files do not display a thumbnail of a still image. Can someone tell me why this is and if possible, how to solve this problem, so that all my video files display a thumbnail of a still image of the file?

    Thank you!

I would offer 3 suggestions. They are not mandatory.
If you agree to try them, do, in the order they are listed. If you're working, stop doing the rest of the list.

1 do a full scan. Your machine may have caught something.

2 do a check of the filesystem (sfc/scannow)

Start button > Search box type cmd > look up, do a RIGHT click oncmd.exe > click onRun As Administrator > in this window cmd black and white, type at the prompt flashing sfc/scannow > press theENTER key.
Note: there is a space between 'sfc' and ' / '.
To sit and wait. It will take time.
When finished, exit the cmd window.
    Reboot (restart your computer)

    3 do a check disk (chkdsk/f/r)
Start button > Search box, type cmd > look up, right-click oncmd.exe> click on Run As Administrator >

in the black and white window, at the command prompt flashes, type chkdsk/f/r > press the Enter key.
Note: there is a space between 'chkdsk' and ' / '.
The screen will say something like cannot do it now, but you want to run it on reboot. Click on 'y' as in Yes > press > window cmd of output.

Restart your computer. It will take a while. DO NOT stop the machine. Just wait.

  • I can't open the .jpg files from the desktop using "Windows Photo Gallery" as the default program. They open normally from nowhere elsewhere, but not directly from the desktop. No error, nothing happens.

If I right click 'open with' open with other programs like IE but not "Windows Photo Gallery". It is not a specific .jpg file, this is all .jpg files. For example... I have a .jpg file in a folder on my desktop, open folder double click, it will open in the "Windows Photo Gallery". Copy and paste the SAME file on the desktop, double-click on, nothing happens. I tried to restart, change the default value of IE, open the file, it opens, by default change to "Windows Photo Gallery" doesn't work... I am confused?

    Hello

Welcome to the community of Windows Vista answers.

    Method 1:

This can happen in the database that keeps track of all the photos and videos in your collection is damaged. You can rebuild your database by:

    (1) close Windows Live Photo Gallery

    (2) · Click Start

    (3) · Click on my computer

    (4) · Paste this address into the address field %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery

    (5) · Right-click Pictures.pd5

    (6) click on rename

    (7) · Change the name of the file to OLD_Pictures.pd5

    (8) · Restart the computer and then try to open the Windows Photo Gallery.

    Method 2:
Try using the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files.  To do this, follow these steps:

    How to run scan SFC

    1. click on the Start button

    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

5 If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked to consent to the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

    9. If all of the necessary files any replacement SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

11 after the scan finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.

  • BlackBerry smartphones phone replacement for the jpg.rem file may not display in media cannot send or save videos either Bishop or PC!

    That's happened?

Everything worked fine until I had to get a replacement phone. It was defective. Now, with the new Pearl 8120 my old photos and vids are jpeg.rem and I can't see to media manager or when I remove the mini sd card and put it in my laptop. When the card is placed in my laptop, I can see the new photos and videos. But I can not display any type of media in the Media Manager. He invites me to enter my device password, as I enter, then it ask again, and it's still down 1/5. I click on the x to delete the password prompt box and then he said: my device is not connected. I don't see anything in what concerns my phone but I am able to see all my files via my laptop. Another question send videos. No longer can I save or send videos. I can send and record voice notes or images without problem. I removed the encryption prior to sending the defective phone back, or so I thought. So, I disabled encryption on my phone now and does not help.

    What can I do?

I know that I need to format the card, but I want to be able to move all the files even the jpg.rem to my laptop without losing those files.

When the memory card is in your PC, delete all files that are named BBThumbs.dat. They are hidden so you may need to configure your Windows Explorer to see.

  • music files in .aiff format with encoded path names, but are not displayed in Windows Media Player or iTunes.

I have several CDs with music files engraved on them, but when I play one any of them in WMP or iTunes, music plays, but each track does not have a name.  They appear as the track track 01, 02, etc.. The music files are in .aiff format. Now, here's the clincher, the same CD will play in my car stereo and display the name of the track.

Are you sure that they are in the format .aiff? It looks more like an actual audio CD for me (in this case, the music files will have a .cda extension when displayed in Windows Explorer).

If it's an audio CD, then it probably has info CD-text engraved on it. You can install the plugin WMPCDText allowing WMP read this info. Unfortunately, there doesn't exist a plugin similar to iTunes.
