  I'm creating a quiz that uses images and click on the boxes to assess knowledge of the MS Word user.  Some questions are 2 steps, so that the user must click a spot on the image, then another on the following image.  However, if the user forgets the first step, they should see the question instead of the second stage.

  I put the box click to 'jump to slide _' but it doesn't he just continues to the next slide.  I thought that maybe the navigation of the blade was broken the decision of the click box navigation, so I put 'no action', but still no luck.  I also tried to adjust the box click on 'continue' and the slide to make the jump.

  It boils down to this: I cannot 'jump to slide' to work no matter where I put it.  This should be easy - using a built-in function to access another slide. I did this since the days of Hypercard, in the 1990s.  Why this program cannot do this simple function?  My colleague and I are very confused.

  There are other reasons that may not work. For example, if you have configured your project as a quiz and you have configured the quiz settings so that each question should be answered, you will not be able to jump on unanswered questions to display a specific slide.

• Do not jump to slide the button

  I have a slide (slide 2), which has four buttons on it. The first jump to slide 3 of my project and works very well. The second opens a word document and still works very well. The third takes me to the sliding 42 - the beginning of a quiz and working properly. The fourth button take me to slide 51, but when I click on it after the publication, it doesn't take me anywhere. I checked if there's just a delay and there seems not to be. Interestingly, if I view the project in the order, then I can display a slide 51 - by clicking on the button works once the previous slides have been consulted.
  
  I checked the button is directed to the correct slide, and nothing seems to be different with this button the previous keys that work properly.
  
  Anyone has any ideas, what I might be missing?

  In addition to what CatBandit offered, I would also add this another thought zany.

  The whole issue could be associated to the fact that your quiz starts on slide 42. If you have configured the Captivate for the quiz must be answered in order to proceed, it probably is not allowing you breeze past slide 42 on slide 51 because a response has not yet provided to slide 42.

  Look at your preferences of Quiz and see what that parameters are here. If you see "Necessary - the user must take the quiz to continue" I guess this is your culprit.

  However, when I saw or that you post, it is not even save it as a button, let alone date back to the first slide. I don't get the "pointy finger" cursor, it looks like a blank slide with no interactivity. No idea what I'm missing here?   Oh, and while I have you here, I noticed also that some items moved during publication and I have no idea why or how avoid this. It's particularly frustrating because I spent much time aligning text and images when they come out unparalleled and it seems really unprofessional.

  
  

  Here is a screenshot, you'll see in the lower left corner, three text lines have changed and are not ' aligned with the corresponding colored dots. Compare that to the screenshot above scene. Also, you will see in the bottom right I had a yellow arrow next to the text 'back' (which I recently replaced it with a "<" symbol) which also misaligned when published.

  Figured it out!

  I had ignored this warning in the output window:

  "Happy with the two Bitmaps and buttons can generate errors of local security in some browsers to run from the local file system."

  It turns out that this image in the left column, the WellSAT oragne button is a bitmap. Apparently, evenunrelated buttons do not work if there is somewhere a bitmap image in the same frame. I replaced the logo with the text and the buttons worked.

  I'm glad it works now, but it's quite frustrating to think I can't have both a bitmap image or a button on the same page. If anyone has any idea why this is the case and a solution, I would like to hear about it.

  I'm currently running a very basic case of the command-line command against the local agent:
  (using 11.1 ODI, Studio on Win7, agent on Linux RHEL5 run Oracle account)

  I get the following error:
  
  ODI-1423: referential work THAT WORKREP is not related to the master repository
  
  It is quite a weird because I can't seem to find all the information from this forum or on the web on ODI-1423 error code.
  
  Also, my IF_XKB_ADR_ENRICH interface works very well from the Studio of ODI, for using the remote even very "xkagt" agent (this means everything is ok with work and masters representatives?)
  
  My odiparams.sh file looks ok because the agent starts and stops ok and working scenarios for the account of the workshop (fact the Laflamme family use different credentials to submit a work from the GUI?); the information seems to be there on the master repository driver, url, user, Word of past.
  
  I have tried to present the scenario of my PC with startscen.bat but I can't find the actual specifications of the parameter [AGENT_URL = < remote_agent_url >] (host: port?) documentation of ODI.

  I was finally able to contact the customer support of cat care and the agent, Arjun Hohli, was able to do repair. I tried to follow along what he was doing, but lost track. It seems to heal by resetting preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling CC files. It was a problem with PS CC 2015 and Windows 10. I suggest to anyone having a similar problem to jump the forums and go straight to the Contact Customer Service REPS the remote access feature works fine and save a ton of confusion. It allows to see the real problem rather than relying on the customer precisely describing the anomaly, the support staff.

• Info on system - jump to slide using the variable Variables

  I know this is not new - I just couldn't find it there.  I use Cap 8.  I need to do a lot of branching in this project.  I would like to move to a slide by using a variable.  It seems I should use cpCmndNextSlide, but I was not able to find a good resource that speaks of these variables and examples of their use.

  For example, in a fast action I would set the system variable to the slide that I want to go?  And if so, how can I do the draft Act on that and actually go to that slide.  I couldn't get that to work.  I wish sliding jumping allowed you to put in a variable in a tip action.

  Anyone who can point me in the right direction?  It would be greatly appreciated!

  I am so happy that I did a few tests, because it seems that it was something small and ridiculous.  I think that (so far) it seems that I was not overview of the entire project that I started about three slides with overview because those who were intro slides and does not part of the action.  I don't think it would make a difference in the jump to slides with cpCmndGotoSlide, but this seems to be the case.  Anyone who knows?  I will continue with the development, but I think that's it.

  I think you will find that this is normal.

  All objects within a Captivate movie has a unique ID.  The slide number and the name of the same slide that you give to the slide are some of the labels assigned to the object. ID of the object is probably a randomly generated figure that we never see. So if you have configured a landslide to navigate to another slide in the original film, there is no guarantee that a slide with the same unique ID will be in the next movie that slide is copied in.

  If the Captivate developers seem to have designed that will be default parameters that are safe to copy a slide from one project to the other.

  In addition, you will find that if you copy a legend or another element of the slide from one project to the other, Captivate renames the item name.  It is once more to avoid conflicts where more than one element in a movie could end up with the same ID and destabilize.

  So, although the way that Captivate is designed can mean extra for you work when you copy slides across, it will prevent your film to become corrupt or unstable.

• Jump to slide into a new project

  Is there a way I can jump to a specific slide in a project, instead of jumping to the first slide of the project, a different project.

  Currently at the end of this project, there is an opportunity to examine certain areas by the first. These areas begin to slide13. When the computer reboots, it currently jumps to slide 1.

  Good, way cool solution here. RJ Jacquez sent a tweet there, indicating he was post a solution to this two Friday. Unfortunately, I missed to see the result, but has managed to find it today. (I was busy to facilitate a class last week)

  The good news is that it can be done! I just downloaded the example and it works. And it is not too difficult to achieve.

  Note that you must have 4 Captivate to do it, because it relies on a programming tip Action.

  So here's how it works.

  In the film Captivate you are willing to open up to another slide, you create an advanced Action. (Click Project > Actions... > Advanced actions)

  Click the menu drop down and choose 'create a new action... '. »

  Type a name for the action.

  Click on the area of statement add to place the focus.

  Press the space bar. (Statement should appear and should turn red)

  Press the space bar again and a drop down menu should appear.

  Choose the Standard Action.

  Choose the action run JavaScript.

  Copy the script below and paste it into the box where you type the script.

  Another thing to consider. If you are previewing 'from this slide"or" next 5 slides "Captivate back to sixth in the preview will not slip the sixth blade in the project. If you are seen in this way, only concerned, 13 slide is slide 6. Try the Preview "of the project" or "browser" and see if it works.

  • The SYSDBA password must be entered because the RCU it will use to connect to the database and create the schema that contains your master repositories and knit _ODI_REPO.
  • Then you must choose a password for this _ODI_REPO on the database schema.
  • You must select a password for the repository to work. Each repository work has a password is requested when linking it to a master repository. The UCR will do it for you automatically. You can see this SNP_LOC_REPW table definition in the repository. Basically, it's to avoid anyone setting a working on the repository repository main wrong in the topology.
  • You will also need to choose a password for the SUPERVISOR account which is the first admin account. You can create your own account later.

  Thank you. In fact, I managed to find a solution that does not require the user to press the button! You can add an action to a slide itself using Javascript execution on success. In the Script window, you add that scorm_setcompleted() and that tell of the SGA to mark the complete project on enter on this slide. So that's what to do if someone reads this

• Jump to Slide Audio Incorrect reading

  I am using Captivate Version 8.

  I have a button on the slide #7. This button actions are defined to access the slide #5. When I saw the project and click on this button, it jumps to the #5 slide, but it plays audio from slide #4. From the audio of a minute, he plays the audio OK slide #5.

  Make sure that the clips audio on slides 4 and 5 do not touch the beginning or end of the timeline on the slides.  If the audio is difficult against the ends of the timeline, then Captivate sometimes "assemble" audio clips.  You want them to be separated.

• Additional text in the slide Notes

  After that we publish a file present, the output displays additional text in the slide notes (e.g. PROJECT ONLY - Version 1.0 - last updated September 2, 2010...).  This text does not appear in the Notes slide from the original file.  I'm trying to determine if there is a framework for managing versions of Powerpoint or presenter that is causing this behavior.  I was not always able to understand.  I'm working on an operating system XP with Office 2010 installed. I use v.7.0.5 Presenter.  I tried to run the 7.0.6 patch update, but I get a message that it is not a valid Win32 application.  I don't know if these 2 problems are associated with the same cause.

  In Powerpoint - go to the INSERT tab, and then select header and footer, you will see the notes you cite are appearing.
