Just my Smartphones blackBerry torch fades

Hello.  My torch started going dim without reason, maybe once per day.  Everything is fine if I do a soft reboot or if I remove the battery, but that is rather lengthy.  I can vaguely see what is on the screen when he's going to like this but not enough to use the appliance.  Because a restart sorts the problem, I don't see it as the battery.  Any ideas? My software is up to date, by the way.  Thanks for any help.

HA!  I have returned to my carrier and have reloaded the OS so keeping my fingers crossed that everything will be fine now.  Thank you very much for the help.

  • Update blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Torch problems

I have problems updating my Blackberry Torch with Blackberry Desktop Software for my Mac.

I used to be seen Blackberry "BOLD" and backup of my files.  After I sold my "BOLD" and bought a flashlight, I restore data using the backup of the data of my previous "BOLD".  So, when I plugged my lamp again, this happened:

First, they said: 'there are updates available for your BlackBerry® device software day.  You want to display the details of the update? »

    I clicked on the details.

Then the window 'Software update device' is out and I clicked "Start update"

-L' usual "backup and restore device data" and "backup and restore of third-party applications" have been verified.

Then he said: "a database / files could not be saved" and it was card global Options, unexpected error and they asked if I wanted to continue.  I clicked on continue.

And then, he says he expects 703 files to download and it just hung there entirely, after an hour.  I had to force quit the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

    Help, please.

I had found a solution to this.

When I update my Blackberry Torch, I unchecked all boxes that says he will back up third-party application and also my blackberry.  In other words, it will just update my blackberry Torch OS.

I let run for about 30 minutes and finally, that my blackberry of the flame has been updated to the latest OS.

Well, bother I know why it's happened, but all of a sudden, he decided to work.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Torch 9850 PC board of the battery problem.

For the last couple days, my torch 9850 has been emptying faster than usual. The drainage rate was about 4.31% per hour. Unfortunately today, I was with my flashlight to take a photo when I watched the battery indicator drain about 80% of yellow to the red outline with the flashing led in under 2 minutes. The phone also randomly off followed by a solid red led, followed by 2 red blinks. Since this morning, I put a good known in battery. He killed that, in about 15 minutes. The only third party application that I have is The Weather Channel. The only application running is phone, SMS, email and contacts. I reloaded the software the first time that drain you.

    Hello!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Torch 9800 WiFi problems

Just bought a 'unlocked' Torch 9800 from Amazon.  We are having a problem with the game facing upwards.  The WiFi signal is detected by the device, but we cannot send or receive e-mails.  When you log on to the browser, we can not go to the line, as it is said that it has turned on WiFi but not coverage.  I have contacted my provider "Three" and they say that, to their end, everything looks good to go.  My previous phone is a Curve 9300 that works very well, I'll have to use my old phone and it is send and receive e-mails very well with good coverage.  The abandonment of the cover guard torch its all very frustrating.

We arrived at the conclusion that the problem is the phone itself, it has not been unlocked properly or we are missing something in the game upward.  If someone had a similar problem or you can shed some light on what we can hurt?

Hello and welcome to the community!

If you can use on the 9800, phone services via 3, then it's unlocked properly... but you can check here:

Any BB can be used on any carrier that is running the same radio frequencies that the BB is capable of (and I have no idea if your in are such). But, to bring you a BB on a carrier network that they don't sell, there are several obstacles to overcome:

    (1) the carrier must say 'yes' to the fact... they are owners of their network and have every right to say what devices will be allowed to connect to it. If they say 'no', then it's the end of it.

    (2) you must be sure that your BB is properly unlocked since its origin manufactured for carrier... see this thread useful for more details:

    (3) you must get all of your voices works on the carrier, before you even try anything on data level services

    (4) you must be a subscriber of the carrier, a plan of sufficient data to enable BB exclusive services that you wish to

5 (a) if the carrier directly supports your specific model BB, then you can proceed to the registration of the BB on their network, generating adequate for your BB service book delivery and treatment of the function. Since you didn't say that 3 you are on, I can't check to see if they support the 9800 or not... we do it, the other does not. But you can post via the official download portal:

If your carrier lists the 9800 in their portal, then they take over the it and you should be good to use it on their network.

5 (b) but, if the carrier does not directly your BB-specific model number, then the challenges are much more that most of the carrier's systems will deliver, for BB, the service books required to enable BB exclusive data services, even if you have subscribed to them.

So, based on this, your BB may or may not ever any function on this carrier network. It can be quite difficult to achieve, especially if 5 b applies. Then take a look at this and decide how you want to move forward. Most people end up just buying a new BB if 5b applies.

If 5A applies, then I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you must keep workign with your mobile service provider as is their network with which your BB is unable to communicate, and only they can look "behind the scenes", as well as degenerating into RIM if necessary.

Good luck and let us know!

    Hello uday808,

Welcome to the BlackBerry support community.

To fix the reboot you encounter on your BlackBerry Torch 9800, backup and perform a charge or upgrade your BlackBerry Device Software. For more information on this procedure, see the following article:

  • Smartphones blackBerry torch freezes on reboot screen

Hi, I got my flashlight since early January, and there is no water or physical damage to him. Everything was spectacular work until today.

This morning I changed the security settings for the AT & T Live TV app and the Pandora app. He then asked a reboot that I authorized. The phone turns off, back to the screen to reboot (with the logo of BB and the "BlackBerry") as well as the bar loading restart on the bottom.

The thing is, the bar completely and that's all, it remains frozen. Nothing else loads. I took the battery and retried. Several times. Now, I am just let it sit there, load fully charged bar, having done nothing but be frozen for about an hour now.

Can someone help me with this you problem? Thanks for your time.

    Hi LFLimon,

I have the same problem since I changed the settings for these two applications and a few others deleted last week. You can find the thread I posted Sunday here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Torch/Torch-9800-stuck-on-loading-screen-PLEASE-HE...

I don't have the chance to try the suggestions of Pegotico again since my Torch is at home and I was out of town. In any case, I hope it will solve this problem, let us know how it works for you.

    See you soon

    As soon as possible!

    Thank you!

If BlackBerry Desktop Software does not recognize your phone, you're really out of luck. It is imperative that the BDS connects to your phone.

RIM has this to say about getting your phone to connect to the BDS:

    I hope that helps you.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Torch display corrupted (upside down) 9860

SUP! The 9860 is the most defective bb model ever. 1stly, his port of loading is easily damaged. I had fixed it twice, and the 3rd time it does not work... It was released with the charger.

After having reinserted, emerges a new frustrating problem. The display is backwards and flipped (mirrored)-it is supposed to be a common problem with this unit and still there is no right solution or reason to explain why this has happened.
