This is updated from Windows. I was told the need update on a problem of security with Silverlight, then went for it and the installation to fail. Said that the error code is 0 x 656.

Silverlight security are what update you referring? You can check the number of KB in the history of the update.
Measures to ensure update history:
1. click on Start, click all programsand then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.
2. on the Windows Update Web site or the Microsoft Update Web site, click view update history.
Reset Windows Update components and check if that helps.

Hi, I have Windows XP Professional, last month made a fresh install of windows and a complete cleaning. Everything works fine until I hit manually the windows update in the start menu to check if there are new updates for this month of April. It considers 15 updates and usually make the express and allowed him to download and once he was done he did an installation failure. I scanned the pc for spyware/malware and viruses, empty the cache and everything is clean.
