  It looks more like a hardware problem as a problem of software!

  But to be 100% sure, you should recover the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery CD supplied.
  This CD will be programmed the laptop back to the factory setting and usually the laptop should work properly after the recovery of the new!

  If you the BSOD will appear again the chances are high that memory, HARD drives and the motherboard is malfunctioning.

  But because you are a beginner, I would not recommend trying to solve this problem yourself.

  Personally, I'd suggest to return the computer to the store and allow them to correct the problem, apparently not driver related to me (especially if you updated all..), it seems that you have a malfunction of the equipment.

  You can try and run CHKDISK (http://windows8themes.org/how-to-run-chkdsk-in-windows-8.html), but I suggest you RMA your system and let check the RAM and hard drive.

  If however, you want to ensure that it is not Windows, then reinstall Windows and see if the problems come back, but I bet they will be.

  Recently, my PC had blue screen errors.  Thinking it was probably a problem of aging HD, the HD has been replaced and a new install of Win XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2.  Blue screens persist despite the new drive.

  Updates Microsoft released the second Tuesday of each month (Patch Tuesday) so it would be on 07/12, but since you have SP2, I can't say what would happen or what updates you decided to install.  If you have accepted the recommendations of MS for video drivers (which are usually poorly), who knows what is happening.

  I had some problems recently with my 13 "MacBook Pro, Early 2011. I was able to resolve most of them between the forums and the Genius Bar, but there is still a persistent that even the Genius Bar can't seem to understand. I just wiped my hard drive (third-party SSD), reinstalled the OS X and restored from a Time Machine backup (but doesn't not restore any network or personal settings, as I was told by the Genius Bar help ensure no bugs/corruptions that affected my machine were installed). A complete hardware and software diagnostic was managed by Apple, where the only problem they found was that they could not read my hard drive and I have recommended replacing the hard drive slick, that I had let them. However, my problem: I have yet to have another random reboot with the new cable, but I am always starting gel, delay and slow speeds. I understood the message of the most recent kernel panic error, but I have little idea how do make sense. If someone could decode it for me and let me know what you think caused the kernel panic, I would be grateful!

  I'm not sure regarding the panic itself 100%, but the symptoms you describe, I'll try to put first the original RAM if you, as a test. Also try a SMC reset: reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support.
