Key USB airport disappears

I have a new Airport Extreme and an external USB hard drive. When I plugged in the beginning the player into the USB port on the AirPort Extreme it magically appeared in the network. In the Finder preferences, I clicked on the option to enable the reader to appear on the desktop as a network drive. I was able to open the drive and copy files to it. I went up to implement auto-mounting of the drive so it would be available in its connection. Everything was fine and dandy for two days. Now this morning the drive cannot be found. AirPort Extreme is in the network browser. So is the icon of USB but when I double click above I get a spinning wheel and a message to try to resolve the alias drive. Here is some of the best. AirPort Extreme restarting solves the problem, so this leads me to believe that there is a bug somewhere.

All this experience? Is there a known problem? Any ideas?

It is possible that the USB port on the airport does not offer enough power for your drive. This is common when using discs powered by USB. Even those with dedicated power sometimes needs to use a USB hub powered between the order and the USB port on the base station.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A500 14 K, it was pre-installed for Windows 7.
I bought the upgrade to Windows 7: I got a PC upgrade disk and a windows upgrade disk. I launched the first disk, then the other.

Are there Tom Driver for this OS?
Or is it possible to use it without a specific driver? I mean something like BDA or more (I don't know-.-)

    Hello!

    > can not find a driver for Win 7 64 bit.
Why you can t find a driver? What do you think could be the reason for this? Is it really so strange?

Let me give you a little tip: Windows 7 is not yet on the market and so there is no drivers for Windows 7 available. All that s!

You can try the Vista drivers because most of them also works on Windows 7, but it's all for the moment you can do.

  • Update of key USB IBM

    Hi guys,.

You just bought key USB IBM. They are version 5.0 how update 5.1? I can download an ISO, but don't know how to get it on the USB sticks?

You should be able to boot from the ISO that you downloaded and select the existing USB drive as the installation drive. When the installation program detects an existing installation of ESXi and VMFS datastore you can choose to upgrade ESXi and preserve the VMFS datastore.

Just take a backup before you do so that you have a roll back option.

Important: The vicfg-cfgbackup command is available only for ESXi hosts. The command is not available through a connection to the system server vCenter. No equivalent command of ESXCLI is supported.

  • Copy (cloning) a key USB of VMware ESXi

    Hi all

I have a question about the copy of a key USB VMware (a USBkey VMware is an IBM option (in fact, any major brand for that matter) supported). Lack of VMware ESXi 5 from a USB key using the UEFI. Recently the USB has renounced us, so we reinstalled VMware ESXi5, installed updates and set up the latter again and everything works again fine, but to save time to stop in the future we would like to keep a copy of the USB on the tablet. Is there an easy way to easily copy this USB?

    The following would work? :

    1. stop the server

2 boot from a Linux live DVD

    3. Insert the USB source

    4. Insert the USB of destination

    5 open a terminal

    6. start: If dd \u003d/dev/sda of = / dev/sdb (after checking admesg | grep like command course)

    7. shut down the pc when done

    8. replace the USB source on the server

    9. starting the server

Is there anyone who has any experience with this?

Yep - that should do it

  • How to access a USB key on airport express

I have my music on a USB hard drive connected to my Airport Express Extreme and it rarely connects to it. How can I get my iTV to transfer music?

An express cannot use a hard drive... only the extreme or time capsule.

I'm not sure what you mean by iTV... an apple TV needs to work with iTunes... If you need to use a computer if you have the iTunes library on the hard drive. Then mount the disc in iTunes to see the library and the Apple TV can then use it.

A smart cannot use normal TV no matter which airport to apple as a media store... Airport routers have no extension of media.

A WD TV live can use a hard drive connected to an extreme example... because it's an appropriate media player. But smart TV requires the protocol support DLNA... that doesn't use Apple.

  • My key USB Lexar is recognized but then disappears

I bought a Lexar TwistTurn FlashDrive in December.  It worked perfectly with Windows XP and Vista, but my computer with Windows 7 on it gave me problems.

The computer is a Compaq with Windows 7 pre-installed.

When I plug the flash drive into one of the USB ports, it is recognized and autoplay starts, but 10 seconds after the AutoPlay window opens, it closes and the flash drive is no longer recognized.  This continues in a cycle for as long I let the flash drive is plugged.

I googled this problem to death and have found no solution.  I also contacted Lexar support and I was told that the problem is probably caused by the pre-installed drivers.  I checked that my OS is up to date (it is), as well as trying to find the drivers to re - install on the manufacturer's website.  They may be there somewhere, but I couldn't find them.

I'm pretty close at the end of my rope with this problem: Please help?

    Hello

Normally the usb drivers work with the built-in Windows drivers. Given that the drive is detected that it should not be a problem with the drivers.

    Method 1.
Let us check and Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooting If this solves the problem automatically. refer to the article below for the procedure. If the problem is to move the methods listed below.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

    Method 2.
I would ask you to uninstall the USB in Device Manager and then restart the computer and re - insert the hard drive and check. Navigate to the Bus USB controllers in Device Manager and right-click on the drive and click on uninstall and restart the computer. Once the computer is restarted, connect the usb drive and check.

Here is the link to Lexar support:

    I hope this helps.

You must use a program that backs up network drives. Such a program would be Carbon Copy Cloner.

Is it possible to include the Airport extreme network shares in a local machine to a Mac attached Time backup?

Sorry, but no. Time Machine can back up only of the following sources:

    • Internal hard drive to the Mac
    • An external drive connected directly to a Mac.

    Hello

The BIOS is certainly able to boot from a USB flash drive.
You need to connect the USB to the computer, then turn on the unit and press F12
Now you should be able to see the USB flash drive like device starting.
Select this option and press ENTER.

    That s it

PS: of course, we must make sure that Linux bootable flash drive.

    Help, please

I know it may seem stupid now but third party hardware or software use is not about Toshiba s and if there is a problem, you should contact the manufacturer s support and ask for help.

They have the best experience with own product and I presume that they tested on different hardware platforms and operating systems.

Call Alcatel s support and ask for help.

  • Satellite S50 - key USB Bootable for OS Backup

    Good evening everyone

I am trying to resume my S50 Satellite to factory settings and wonder if I could save the Windows 8.1 on a new USB 16 GB as a bootable drive?

    Thanks in advance

    Stephen

Original recovery image is saved on the HARD drive and you can create a bootable recovery media and using this bootable USB key you can install the original version of Windows that you got with your laptop.
Using of preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Media Creator you can do.
    I have S50 - B and I created a USB recovery media. I used 16GB USB DRIVE.

How it all works, you can read in the document of the user manuals.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask.

    Hello
for some reason, I have to boot from a USB key memeory containing WinPE and Linux (depending on the task to perfom). My problem is I got blocked on the logo "Toshiba leading innovation" and nothing else happens.
As soon as I remove the USB key, it starts from the internal drive.

I tested with an external CD-rom with no more success.
All keys & CDs have been successfully on other hardware platforms.

    Thanks in advance

    Yes, that's correct.
