  How can I cause the keyboard light stays on while using the keyboard?  I had a couple of situations where I was in a dark place and by typing an email and while typing from the keyboard light is out.  Shortly after she came and then a little while later he returned to offshore.  And if it happened...   I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  To perform a clean installation of the BlackBerry Device Software, do the following:

  10. Click Next > Finish.
  11. Once the process is complete, the load succeeded message. Click close to return to BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

  I'm relatively new to the whole community of smartphone, and I fear I actually broke my Blackberry!

  I noticed that e softwareupdated was available for my Blackberry, so I chose to download it. The problem is my phone kept freezing in the process, and I was getting a little impatient. Finally, my phone told me that there was not enough memory, so I should delete some applications to make room. So I selected a few to remove, and my phone froze AGAIN. Now, if at all, it has frozen or not, I'm not sure... Maybe I'm too impatient for the life of a smartphone.

  In any case, I decided to take out the battery to reset the phone, I have grown really tired and has to work in the morning, I so wanted to just turn my phone and turn it on again, put my wake up and go to sleep. As I just re - turn the phone on, it starts to load up as it usually does, then a screen appears:

  "Blackberry 5.0.0.496 platform.

  Then it lists a whole bunch of items in the phone, in alphabetical order, the first being "Addressbook."

  Then, in seconds, the screen goes all white and a small message will appear "Error App 606" and it gives me the only option of resetting my phone. I click on reset, and it's a cycle... The phone seems to be loading as it normally would, and then he'll come back to this screen of the Blackberry platform, then the App error 606.

  I ring my network provider in the morning to see if they can help me, but I was wondering if anyone of you here would know about this at all? I feel so stupid for the cause!

  If your device is not detected so you had to force the detection of your device by using the Application Loader. But remember in this process you will lose all data on your device, I hope you have your backup device, follow this Knowledge Base to recover your device:

  Try to start the machine in safe mode and see if you can cancel the update process.

  The only other way I know is do what you did, to connect to the computer... and during the connection, insert the battery and see if it recognizes the device.

  As your device does not detect that you can try the Application loader to force detection of your device to load the operating system, please see the Knowledge Base Article:

  But remember, in this process, you will lose all data in your device, I hope you have your backup.

  Well, cut to the Chase, today, my best friend give me a BlackBErry 8520 purple Royal as it comes to order the new BlackBerry Storm 2.

  My companion didn't tell me his password of deivce, discovered that I had to wipe my incoming express unit in a wrong password 10 times. After that, insert sim, put in place a free Wi - Fi, bluetooth, date & time etc, and thought id let me girlfriend know my news.

  It turns out that ive been many text to my contacts to sims, although none of them has been sent successfully, this makes google searches and I diverted to here, and how people bought BB on the black list on Ebay, or as much as sending and having the same problem.

  I also have the same problem, but my phone has been used by my friend perfectly for 5 months? Oh and I CAN use the internet and email, and windows live Messenger, I can't use my apps like Tumblr, myspace or facebook.

  I also have 'edge' at the top right of my receipt of phones, and all Blackberry users that if sims saved on the phone, mine is not? What can I do to fix this?

  I have no message configuration setting, and I do not know how to enter manually? If I can use the SIM card internet? Surely its registered and 150% is not on the blacklist...

  Remember the password for the device that you already set up on your device otherwise after 10 wrong attempts (by default) you device will begin a wipe for safety, it will delete all the data of the user within this device. If you do not have the backup or not using BlackBerry protect so I doubt you will be able to recover your data.

  Are you sure enter you the password on your keyboard for BlackBerry?  I think you may have a mix of different characters in your password, and you are not able to enter properly on the keyboard for BlackBerry. For example, if your password

  • And you enter k > r > I > s > h > 0 > 0 > 7
  • the result will be
  • krish00z
  • You must enter
  • k > r > I > s > h > 0 > 0 > alt > 7

  to get krish007 on your device. For example, while on the BlackBerry keyboard, you think you type krish007, you actually type krish00z. Plaese take your time and enter this number correctly on your device to stop a wipe. If you do not then your device wipe and you will have to start all over again from the beginning.
