    • First of all, it looks like a possible hardware problem with the computer. Please perform a hard reset. Steps: Turn off the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is removable.
    • Press and hold the power button on the unit for 15 seconds to carry out the static electrical charges inside the machine.
    • Replace the battery and the charger plug it back.
    • Turn off the device. When you turn it upwards, immediately press the F11 key slowly several times.
    • Need you to Recovery Manager. Here, choose the option "troubleshooting." Then, please select 'Advanced Options' and 'command prompt '.
    • Type all of the characters in the keyboard in this mostly black window keys that do not work properly.
    • If F11 no transports you to the Recovery Manager, please keep hit the "ESC" gently several times the moment you turn on the unit. It takes you to the start menu and you could press F11 from there to go to the Recovery Manager. Please check all the keys in the window command prompt black, especially the keys that do not work.

If this does not work in the command line (black window), then it's a hardware with the keyboard problem. For assistance please visit this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/product/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/5355006/model/5399238/document/c03738933/

  • Keyboard typing extra character

Recently, I have a weird problem with the keyboard. When I type the letters like 'v', 'b', "n" and "m", I get an extra character attached to it automatically. For example if I type 'b' the screen type "vb" or "bv". If I type 'v' then screen type "vb" or "bv". Goes the same for the letters "n" and "m". Something that I'm typing I'd get "nm" or "min." This causes problem for me that my few accounts is getting blocked because of incorrect password.

If I restart my machine, the problem seems to be resolved for some time, but suddenly then he worked he start coming again. Is there any solution for this?
Recently I installed the new edition of Windows 7 Ultimate on my Dell Inspiron 1545.
Note: I am typing this query of the same laptop, but until that moment, that I don't get any extra Charter printed when I type "b", "v", "n" or "m". More important still, is happening now with only those 4 letters.
    Any advise?
    Thanks in advance,
    Buxant

Looks like you may have something stuck in your keyboard. Try turning upside and it blow. Do a Google search on how to remove the keyboard and clean under them safely. If a can of compressed air can often be used effectively.

  • Pavilion 550 179na: keyboard, typing letters multiple even if only 1 key

I bought this computer a week ago and I use the keyboard and mouse that came with it.

The keyboard started typing a letter multiple times, even if the button is pressed only once...

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening please?

    @GillyB

Assuming for the moment that is not in some cases associated with other problems that you have experienced, that you have installed / updated the drivers of HP, and that your operating system is also includes itself (lots of "If this and that"), then the following could be useful to help you adjust the keyboard settings.

    • First of all, try to simply set the keyboard for "repeat rate":

Control Panel > display icon > Ease of Acess > make the keyboard easier to use >

Scroll down and click on the keyboard settings > adjust as you wish

    • If this is not enough - or does not provide the kind of response get you, and then run:

Control Panel > display icon > Ease of Acess > make the keyboard easier to use >

Check Turn on filter keys > adjust settings to find the one that works for you

  • Keyboard typing typespeed - Satellite M50

    Help, please
new m50-very glad I run also for businesses. This has got like more light for businesses (I travel a lot).
    2 things.
First of all - I'm a type two fingers - no matter what app I'm in seems to me to type faster that the machine can make deal with. I find myself often is not on the screen and the keyboard, when I look back at the screen, the cursor is passed to the anterior part of the text - all messed up, really frustrating, really frustrating. I'm doing something wrong. Surely someone has seen this before, I just can't believe his speed typing questions (that's its been 4 times typing this so far).
Also is this laptop has a built in microphone. I assumed that they all do, as I have much Skype etc. I will then have to connect a microphone. Hope I'm just blind and can't see it somewhere.

[Edited by: admin on July 29, 2006 08:19]

Is it just by typing that is slow or the computer is slow in general? There is no perceptible latency between you the same keys on the keyboard and the text appearing on the screen.

  • Re: Keyboard typing letter and numbers when you press letter keys

    Hello

My keyboard is typing letters and numbers when you press letter keys. I did im sure on the correct mode. You know FN - 11 / FN - 10. I have a Satellite L300D-11V running Windows vista Home premium. Can anyone help?

I also tried holding down both shift keys for 20 seconds and two shift, and the ALT for 20 sec, but no change. Sticky keys are not on and the language of the keyboard is set to the United Kingdom.

    Any help would be great,

  • laptop keyboard outputs incorrect strikes after unplugging the usb keyboard.

I use a laptop Twinhead on which I plugged a Microsoft Natural keyboard for a while. Now when I did start, the laptop keyboard hit mixed-up and incorrect. I tried updating the driver, but it seems difficult that bing can't seem to get the - numbers - update. I noticed to form this forum that people have had a similar problem with connect a keyboard external usb. the solution was to press Fn + numberlock. It worked. Should I seriously to do forever when I use the keyboard of the laptop instead of a usb keyboard? There must be a good way to solve this problem, not a workaround solution.

USB keyboard will automatically use a HID Driver and the driver disappears when I unplug it. The laptop keyboard still does not properly.

I would probably uninstall the keyboard through Control Panel > system > hardware > device driver. Then right-click on the keyboard and uninstall it. Make a hard re-boot, then use the restore disc provided with most computers to re - install your keyboard.

    Hello

    (1) have you made changes before the start of this issue?

    (2) this problem occurs when you type on the specific application?

    Method 1:

Use the keyboard of the screen and check if the problem persists and let us know the status of the issue. Follow the steps in the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/type-without-using-the-keyboard-on-screen-keyboard

Method 2: You can have your NumLock. Please make sure that you turn it off by pressing the NumLock key and control if the problem persists.

Also to ensure that the function key (fn) key on the keyboard is not subtracted when typing.

  • Problem of annoying keyboard typing wrong characters

Sometimes when typing my email address instead of the ' @' sign contained a double ' sign appears and it is impossible to get my keyboard to give me the correct sign. I tried to turn the caps on and then turn off; using the SHIFT key. and many other hit but have to close on the web, in total, which is frustrating to say the least. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution? Thanks for your help

This is the region for the keyboard setting and has nothing to do with the shift keys.

The "key and the @ key are in different positions in different international keyboards."  Similarly, the result of the use of shift with the 3 button gives different results in different regions.

The solution is simple and is also easy.  Just follow the steps precisely.

Control Panel, tab language, region, keyboard & languages, change keyboards, services installed, select the keyboard so that the word "keyboard" is highlighted, click on Add..., find the country the keyboard was bought for, expand the list, so you can see check boxes of the options available, tick one of these boxes.  Press OK. Now select the unwanted country setting that was in the list before hand and remove [you could not do this before or you would have nothing to say the keyboard how to behave while you were doing the rest of the procedure].  Press OK twice.

    Comprehensive work.

  • Alphabet key on my keyboard, typing special characters

Hi, I wanted to ask you if you know about this feature, because it does not work on my PC, but I don't want it.

When I want to write "" a "I need to press ['] [space] [a], and at least that I do not support on the space between the two I'm 'a'."

Similar occurs with other characters. For example, I can get u, a, o, o, u, etc... But I don't want that, I just want to do what I'm typing. Another thing I noticed, is that it doesn't when I switch to the Serbian keyboard (Latin or Cyrillic).

So, I would like to stop, but I don't know what to look for. This does not happen on my other PC. Yet, even if that happens any more after that I restarted the PC, it would be interesting to find out how to enable or disable this feature. Although I don't mind, it can be useful.

ADDED: I would also say that is happening everywhere in Windows - based 2007 Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and Skype, in the field of research programs and files on the start menu and to rename files and folder.

Original title: "corrected in a all the time

    Thanks for your reply, Shivam!

    1. I don't remember making any changes... I have the same desire when I accidentally something press keyboard and I do not know what I pressed.
    2. About my PC, I cannot say anything meaningful, because it is not a particular model, and I also changed some components on that. Right now it's a relatively new installation of Windows 7 (a few weeks or more).

Now, I managed to bring it back to what it was, and I have no idea what is the thing that solved my problem. Unfortunately, in Control Panel , I did not find language as you suggested, I found region and language, and from there, I went to the keyboard and languages, where I clicked on change keyboards... The only change that I remember now is that I had of the English (United States - International), and now I have chosen EFrench (U.S. ) ). It is very likely that I also changed some other settings, but I don't know what exactly does the job.

It is an interesting option for someone who needs to write something in a foreign language, that I didn't need.

Thanks for your help. I wish I could tell some information on what I was doing before this problem, and what exactly I did to bring it back to what it was.

    Kind regards!

  • Keys keyboard typing last letter typed

Just upgraded my HP's Vista 64 for Windows 7 laptop. Wired keyboard base was working fine under Vista. After the upgrade, the key numbers and special characters] work in Microsoft Word, but do not work online. [The HP laptop keyboard is having the same problem].

I have uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, ping from the Bios, virus research, shook the keyboard, checked the keyboard language and looked for answers online, nothing helps.

Microsoft diagnostic software told me that my keyboard work correctly.

    What should I do now?

This sounds like a problem of keyboard input buffer . There are a number of issues pending with the keyboard buffer caused by software such as constant guard or GuardIDencryption. If you have installed the encryption of typing software, especially Comcast constant guard, I can't recommend disabling/uninstalling software or specific assistance in support of the software publisher's web site.
