Kiosk with automatic Windows XP (other user) connection mode

Greetings,

I'm having some trouble getting kiosk mode to work with automatic sign next to windows xp.

Kiosk mode works if I disable autologon (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231), but when it enabled it gives an error saying that all desktop computers are in use.

The strange thing is that when I enable autologon and I manually log on with another user the username that is customized to the kioskmode can I disconnect and reconnect on the desktop, all I want. But at the point where I have activate automatic login with another user that the custom user name he gives all desktop computers are currently in use error.

Does anyone know if the Kiosk mode with automatic logon to another user than the user username custom work?

Thanks in advance,

Bram

Might work if you turn off automatic logon, and then use the view GPO to disable the SSO, then allow the user to connect with the name of user and password you want.

Security software, that I am running is Microsoft Security Essentials. I don't let just anybody use my system or never have what means the messge above. Were there a security breach? I do not know. It is possible that one of your machines connected on a network share of this machine.
The next time this happens, right-click on 'My computer' then -> 'Manage'-> System Tools-> Shared Folders-> Sessions.  See if a session is appear on this screen.

  • Windows 8 "Other users" is the available connection option only

I've had this problem for a few days now and others have been able to solve, but they had access to an account. I don't.

I have recently reinstalled Windows because of the constant freezes, and when first installed, Windows stopped responding. I chose the end of the task, and this huge problem that I've ever had in this measure was just pushed in my face.

The only user on the login screen (which is where my computer took me once essentially restarted Windows) is this option 'User' turned out to be impossible to connect to. I have no access to any files, settings, orders, or whatever it is that I've seen several people to use to solve this problem.

I tried to restart my computer to see if I would be directed to the installation, but it just showed me the screen connection again.

Any help? Again, I don't have no access to an account, which means that I have no access to files, settings or controls.

    Hello

In this case, reinstalling Windows would be incomplete or corrupted. Then I suggest you to reinstall the operating system once more and check if it helps.

Please post back with the State of the question and we will be happy to help you further.

  • Connection of the main user brings up a blank screen with one cursor wheel, other users launch very well.

My wife is running Vista Home Edition on his laptop HP 3 year, and she can't connect to his user account.  Once the password is typed in, it becomes just a black screen, with the spinning cursor wheel - forever.  It can connect to my user account on the same computer without problem.  I guess something is corrupted or damaged which prevents him to launch his user account.  How can we fix/bypass this problem?

  • 1 other user logged on, but I'm the ONLY user.

Hello. I have a big problem and it was bugs me for a few months.
So for the last few months I tried to download Stopzilla on my laptop but an error message appears telling me that there is 1 other user connected and he tells me that I have to enter this account and log off until I can start downloading the software.

The things is, I'm the ONLY user. I have only one account on this laptop and the administrative account. So I don't understand why I still receive the message in the first place.

    Hi hannahyQ,

To narrow the problem, please follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: start the computer in safe mode, check whether the default Administrator account is activated.

Access the menu options advanced boot by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts. In the advanced startup options select safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Do you see the default Administrator account? If so, disable the default Administrator account:

    (a) click Start in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    (b) at the command prompt, type net user administrator /active: no and then press ENTER.

You should see a message stating that the command completed successfully. Type exit and press ENTER to close the command prompt window.

Restart the computer and check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem persists, the computer could be infected with the virus.

Step 2: Run a scan online for any threat and try to correct

    Hello

I'm trying to get this to work of workflow in order to create a virtual machine from a model (or an another VM) and customize (IP address, DNS...). I already did the same thing with my Linux VM and it worked as expected, but with the Windows VM I lose connection with vCenter whenever I run this workflow. "Just before it finished I got this error:" ""the server vCenter Server "link from my server" connection has been lost "

So the result is: the new virtual machine is created, but the IP address of the model/VM frim is what it is cloned.

Any idea what can cause the crash of the mu vSphere client every time I throw the third workflow?

Can someone try this workflow and complete the settings and show me a screenshot so I can know where it wen wrong (certainly the network configuration).

  • Windows 7 connection icon "other users".

    Hello

It was working fine until yesterday. But tonight, I had this problem. I searched on Google for more than 8 hours. But no luck

    My problem is:

When I start my laptop (DELL Latitude E5410), it starts and brings me a newspaper 'Other users' on the icon with a blank image.

case 1: if I give my username and password it is logging (guest account works well) to successfully. I have only two accounts (comments and user1).

case 2: if I 'Cancel' the screen and it asks me to press Ctrl + Atl + Del. When I press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, need me the newspaper on the icons of the users.

I click on the icons and logging on successfully. But it makes me irritating and I want directly to list log users on the icons in my homescreen instead of the icon 'another user '.

I searched through all the forums, but nothing helped.

Can someone / Microsoft please help me now?  I want back the newspaper on the icons.

    Thanks a million in advance

    How can I do that.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Yes you can do it.

Make the LIST OF LOVS you used as username, the name of the document.

Now in report attribute change column, the region in the attributes of the column select "display as text (based on LOV, does not save the State)" on "display as".

And specify the name of LOV the timely "LOV" of the region in the list of values.
