L500/025 connection to a CRT TV

Yes, I'm still living in the stone age with my CRT.

I have a VGA & HDMI TV-out on the new lappy.
On TV, I have RCA Composite and S-video.

What are my options?
Congratulations in advance.

I think your only option is VGA to composite or S-video.
You can find adapters to connect the two ports. Google around and you'll find it.
You can also pick up information at your dealer.

  • Satellite Pro L500 - wireless connection is very slow and unstable

    Hello

I bought a Satellite Pro L500 a couple of weeks (Windows 7 and Realtek 8191SE). I have no problem connecting to public networks, but I can't use it at my place, where I have a broadband cable connection.
The strange thing is that, in the same room, I have no problem with my old A105 Satellite (Windows XP).

It is also very strange the fact that, even if the signal is good, sometimes excellent, the connection is very slow and unstable (it disconnects when I try to browse the Internet).

    I have already tried:

    -Update the Realtek drivers.
    -Disconnect the firewall;
-Modification of the properties of the Realtek card.

Maybe it's a problem with the software or, on the contrary, with the material?

    Thank you!

    Hi Patrick,

If you can connect to public networks correctly, I think that this problem is related to your router at home. So I would recommend updating the firmware on your router. You can get it on the page of manufactured goods.

Also try to disable WLAN encryption and MAC address filtering.

By the way: you can access the Internet at home via a cable connection?

  • Satellite L500-19th - connection of the second SSD/HDD internal

According to the control system L500-19th has a free SATA port.

    Port 0: free
Port 1: HDD internal (1 TB Western D)
    Port 4: DVD drive internal
Port 5: drive external eSATA connecting

I intend to connect an SSD on port 0.
Where can I find the port?

If this does not work, I would buy a HARD - setting for the tree of CD-ROM drive.

Does anyone have experience with it?

Thanks a lot for your answers
    Chris

Internal second HARD drive or SSD can be added if the laptop has a second location of HARD drive and room for a second HARD drive. Is this the case with your laptop?

Check the underside if place to second HARD drive is available.

  • Satellite L500 cannot connect to the internet

    I just bought a new Toshiba L500
I have a NETGEAR router that works on my other laptop, desktop and IPHONE, but it does not work on my Toshiba L500.

I can't find the NETGEAR router using the icon in the lower right corner but when I login I get this message error "Windows could not connect to netgear.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    Hey,.

Do you have an IP address of your router and have you tried a static IP address?

Also, check your firewall settings. Maybe the firewall is blocking the connection to your router.
In addition, an update of the firmware on your router is always advisable. :)

  • Satellite L500 - wireless connection is very slow

    Hey all,.

I have problems with my toshiba satellite L500 wireless very slow. I restored the computer back to factory settings, reset the router and do not know what to do. The only way that I am able to achieve and increase speed of internet is by connecting the laptop to the router.

There are 3 other laptops in the House which is the same model, this laptop runs very fast. My router is a Thomson TG782T.

    Thank you

    Hello

First, I would try to update the WLAN driver. Download the latest version on the Toshiba site and then delete the old version. Reboot the laptop and use CCleaner to clean the system. Restart again and now you can install the latest WLAN driver.

I put t know what operating system you have, but on Vista and Windows 7, you must disable the WLAN energy saving function. You can do this in Windows power management if you change power management.

I had a similar problem and after removing the energy saving function, it worked fast and normal as on other laptops. :)

My laptop is Toshiba Equium U400/146 PSU42E-00400SKS model number. Sound off out of warranty, so I took it to

When it is connected to a crt monitor, the laptop is fine. Return to the cable, the screen number is REC-NI3311-LOL. C1

If someone could point me in the right direction for this part, I would be most gratefull

  • Dell 2000FP monitor

    Hello

Our laboratory has recently bought a Dell Precision 650 workstation with
a LCD from Dell 2000FP monitor. We have installed our cards DAQ, a PCI-6733
and a PCI-6120 and everything seemed happy. Is the PCI-6733
connected to our support by the CA-1000 and the PCI-6120 is connected by
    a BNC-2110.

We were testing the configuration and noticed that there was a DC offset of
about 50 mV when monitoring of channel 0 of the PCI-6733 on a scope. The
lag was present on all output channels. No LabVIEW program
were running and no signals were sent. After trying a few
things, we turned off the monitor and the offset disappeared.

We then tried to connect the monitor to a different outlet. We tried
using on-screen RGB connection. We tried to use the DVI
    c
connection of the monitor. We tried to change the position of the
monitor. Nothing worked and the offset remained. We have also
to reproduce this offset using our old DAQ with different computers
DAQ cards and different graphics cards as well as the LCD display.

We then connected our old CRT monitor and the gap disappeared.

Everyone has problems with LCD screens? Someone at - it
experienced similar problems with this particular model, the Dell
2000FP? It is hard to believe that the offset is caused by the monitor
but all our tests so far have shown that it is indeed the case.

    Thanks in advance,

    Brian

    Brian,

I've never experienced this problem, and I certainly used LCD monitors with DAQ systems. Are video cards you are using PCI or AGP? If you only tried PCI video cards, and your motherboard has an AGP slot, I suggest to see if an AGP video card resolved the issue. In addition, if you move the LCD more away from the PCI-6733, is assigned offset?

  • HP G62-460TX: shows the barcode as lines

Hello, everyone! I have a laptop HP G62-460TX two year, who began to display barcodes like the lines on the screen up and down. Image below for the clearer discription.

The lines began to appear on one or two minutes after I tried the led.vbs trick (http://www.coolhackingtrick.com/2012/01/keyboard-dancing-led-light-trick.html) although I don't think that he had nothing to do with it. It appears automatically as soon as I start my pc (when the hp logo appears, before loading the operating system) and tends to change color slowly. They began last night and when I turned on my pc today, they disappeared, but only until the login screen is come. After that I restarted or tried anything else, they were there.

I hung on an old CRT monitor that I had and everything displayed on the CRT, but laptop screen is still a mess. Oh! One last thing, before you connect to the CRT monitor, that about two-thirds of the screen was defective.

System Specs: Win7 Home Premium 64-bit, 4 GB ram, 500 GB HDD, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370 (dxdiag info) graphics card, intel core i3 2.4 ghz processor.

First post so excuse me for the mistakes. Help, please!

    Hi SAP96,

Welcome to the HP community! I see that you have some problems with your laptop screen. It is strange he waits until this only charged to start to do the lines, because I would say that it is material related because the same thing happen on the external monitor and if it was a driver problem, it would be.

You can try reinstalling the drivers which can be found here. If this does not work then I would take it to a local technician to check the hardware. If you have purchased an extended warranty with HP, you can contact HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 North America or visit the link below if you are outside of North America.

  • Inspiron 630 m video will not work with external LCD TV

    Hey guys

Im having some trouble getting connect an inspiron 630 m and a jelly LN19A450 LCD screen TV.
I use a VGA cable connected to both VGA devices, but the TV does not detect my phone. I have already tested the cable with a multimeter and any work necessary pins OK.
When I connect everything and turn on dual monitor on my pc (Fn + F8) and go to the menu of the LCD TV, the source of 'PC input' is greyed out and I can't select (it should be highlighted or yellow since there is a signal from the laptop).

I tried to lower the resolution of 640 x 480 with no luck at all.
I have connected a normal CRT monitor to my laptop VGA port and it works, so my pc is OK.

In addition, the s-Video on my laptop has works okay, but he's had a pretty bad resolution. That's why I want to use the VGA cable instead.
I also heard about the problems of compatibility between computers laptops Sony and Dell and Samsung LCD TV. Samsung support guy told me something about the cable pin10. Supposedly, he needs to land. I checked my vga cable and its not connected to the Earth. I don't really know if this could be the cause this problem.

If anyone else has trouble to learn how to connect a Dell laptop with a samsung lcd tv, I'd appreciate any new info on this

    Thank you

  • Satellite L500 connection ok but no Internet after upgrade to Windows 7

    Hello
I just upgraded my Satellite L500 to Windows 7 everything is fine except that I have no internet access. I have a strong connection to my wireless home network and can connect to other wireless devices to the network ok. I also tried to connect using cable, but I have the same problem - connected but no internet access.

I ran ConfigFree utility and it does not find a problem. I ran the troubleshooter in Windows and it is unable to solve the problem but tells me that the wireless network doesn't have a valid IP configuration.

I have reset the modem and the router, without effect.

I checked all the drivers and BIOS are the latest versions.

I tried to enter an IP address manually rather than get an automatically. Still no luck.

Any ideas I can try? I hope someone can help.
    Thank you.

    Hello

For me it sounds like that the problem is the router, and not the laptop because you wrote that with cable connected even happens on WLAN connection.

If you go into the menu of the router, what is the status of the internet connection? Your router has a connection or not?

  • Satellite L500 - how to set up the WIFI connection?

I'm having all sorts of dramas trying to get my new L500 connected to the my Wi - Fi. Receipt the run around of Telstra Bigpond, then Microsoft who are charging me $80 only to tell me that I have to contact Bigpond...

After talking with Bigpond they advised that I need to "configures Intel PROSet / Wireless" because it prevents me to connect to my Bigpond connection...

Can someone throw some light/provide any assistance! I'm getting desperate :(

Thanks - my email is [email protected]

    Hey nic,.

You must give us more details about your problem. Your explanation is very deep and so it might be a little hard to give exactly the instructions how to resolve you this problem.

First you make sure if your wireless network card is listed in the device correctly without yellow exclamation point Manager.
Then, make sure that the WIFI is enabled with the hardware switch and FN + F8.

You see the WLAN router if you are looking for WIFI networks at your fingertips? If so, can you connect or you get an IP address?
Also check the DHCP of your laptop configuration and disable the Save function in the energy WLAN Vista power management.

  • Satellite L500 - no possibility to connect to the local network

    Hello

I'm new to these forums so please accept my apologies if I don't use the terminology correct tech.

I have a Toshiba L500 laptop satellite. It of ok, but had to make the hard drive replaced recently (under warranty) as she died. I had been using a wireless network before I had to have the drive replaced and now trying to connect to a local network using a cable, but there is no device?

Now, I don't know when this became a question - before or after replacing the hard drive. Not only has he failed to drive hard, but has so the speakers, so I wonder if the LAN device is just another thing that has failed.

I understand that there are two components to the unit - the hardware and software. I learned that the material may have failed.

Does anyone know how to get back the unit so that I can plug my computer on a local network and internet access? No, the device isn't in the network adapters. I don't know how to get it back.

    > I have the replaced disk and now I'm trying to connect to a local network using a cable, but there is no device?
Have you tried reinstalling the driver LAN?

Remember that the network driver is installed correctly you should check this in the device-> network cards Manager.
In this category the LAN card and wireless network card required!

If you're going to see some yellow exclamation points, so this means that a driver is missing or is not working properly and this means that you must remove/uninstall the driver, and after new restarts, the driver needs to be installed once more

    Please check this!
