Lack of pictures w/exclamation points

I unfortunately lost my HD during a move and a few images that show exclamation points in LR.  These photos are connected to Smugmug via smart galleries in LR.  Is there a way to get rid of these exclamations?  I've obviously not revise these images because I don't have the Photoshop PSD longer.  I want to stay on Smugmug keep them and remove the exclamations in LR.

Thanks for your help!

I thought about it!  I delete the catalog and let the service (Smugmug), then remove the keyword smart Gallery and then it will erase LR but will remain on SM!  Yay!

  • Exclamation point & new folder "photos".

    Hello

I import pictures from my phone in the new 'photos' (iPhoto) by apple application that comes with the new iOS. Sometimes, I don't have to import from my phone because they have already been imported in 'photos' (iPhoto) using iCloud. In any case, to get these photos imported into Lightroom I drag them on 'photos' (iPhoto) on my desktop, and then drag them into Lightroom. Lightroom will open and import photos, everything is good. After editing the photos in Lightroom, I export my desktop where I post, archive, email, etc. My question is: how remove the original photo, I dragged to 'photos' (iPhoto) on my desk before you drag in Lightroom. I have the version changed, that's all that I need, as well as the original is always stored in 'photos' (iPhoto). When I drag the new photo that I hung out at the origin of 'photos' in the trash I get an exclamation point on this photo in my Lightroom library, even if the modified version is sitting to the right of my screen. Lately, I've been by clicking on the exclamation and showing Lightroom (location), where is the file, which is in the folder "pictures" (iPhoto), it disappears. I do not understand because the source file is in 'photos' (iPhoto) for the file that I put in the trash should be just a copy but Lightroom seems to think that this is the source file. Really, I'm just tired to show where these files in Lightroom, all I want on my desk are the final changes because the originals are always in 'photos' (iPhoto). Any input would be much appreciated! Thank you for your time.

    Hi thetreezfamily,

    • If you delete or move any file or images outside of Lightroom, from their original location then you see an exclamation point on your picture and a question mark on the record where they reside in Lightroom.
    • According to your workflow you first of all to get the images of the camera app on the desktop and import into Lightroom. At that time here that Lightroom is oriented to the images you have on your desktop. (original unedited one). The source file for Lightroom would always be the folder where you have stored the images from the Photo App.
    • Lightroom keeps any reference to exported images. So just leave the copies (export) edited in another folder.
    • If you do not want the files on your desktop once export you them with changes from Lightroom. You can delete the (original) file in Lightroom that will remove the images from your desktop as well as Lightroom.

  • My LR collections all have the exclamation point (photo missing)

I spent from PC to Mac and Apple move my data. I know it was a big mistake. I have my catalog recovered except for my collections where all the pictures have the exclamation for missing photos. If I understand correctly the collections affect the original photo and does not have another copy. If I use find missing photo and add it to the collection, I am afraid that I will get a copy of the image. Any suggestions on how I can add the missing photos in my collections?

Once you have all your folders or images related to Lightroom, you won't have to make changes in the Collections.

It will automatically remove the exclamation point (File Missing symbol) in your collection.

    I hope this helps.

  • 'Update of the current process' of the LR5 missing exclamation point?

Can anyone tell my why my older images (in LR 5) isn't an exclamation point asking me if I want to update the current process?

I was just reviewing some more older. JPG files that were imported initially with Lightroom 2 or 3.   In the Panel to the point the elders 'Recovery' and 'Fill light' settings are displayed, which alerted me to the fact that the process of the most recent is not used.  If I remember correctly, he used to be an exclamation in the corner of each photo alert me to it.

I discovered that if I right click on the pictures at the bottom of the screen, I can select "Developing the parameters" / "Update in progress", , but I found the exclamation point to be more practical.  I hope that there is a way to get this feature.

Thanks in advance for advice :-)

The exclamation point was changed/moved in LR5. It is now a symbol "lightning/lightning" under the histogram in the develop Module. Hovering over the icon will tell you that the version of the process, click the icon will allow you to update.

My classic ipod died so I bought a new, came to download my music and cant. who or what has nicked all my songs?

This does not necessarily mean they are gone, it means that iTunes can't find them where he thinks they are. Have you done something in your iTunes library lately? You can try to play a song or two and let iTunes to try to recover their locations. If it does not, a user of ASC here has a wide range of operating on iTunes and Windows tips. I would try to find one on the library pretending disappear, unless it comes here first.

  • How can I find the music marked with an exclamation point in my itunes library?

How can I find the music marked with an exclamation point in my itunes library?

    Hello there rdgernnr!

I certainly don't want to find the songs that show the "!" and get them to play correctly. If you have not yet done it, read this article: If you see an exclamation point next to your items in iTunes - Apple Support

    More precisely:

Correct the path of the media file

Follow these steps to help find the correct location of the file iTunes media:

    1. In iTunes on your Mac or PC, select the song, album, movie, or television show that has the exclamation next to him.
    2. In the MenuBar at the top of your screen, computer or at the top of the iTunes window choose Edition > read the information.
If you are using Windows and you don't see the menu bar, Learn how to turn it on.
    3. When you see a message asking if you want to locate the file, click search.
      • If you know the location of the file, point to it iTunes and try to read your content.
      • If you do not know the location of the file, search for it:
Mac: Press ⌘ and space control your keyboard, and then type the name of the movie title, app, song, album or artist.
Windows: Press the Windows on your keyboard, and then type the name of the movie title, app, song, album or artist. If your keyboard does not have a Windows key, press the Escape (Esc) and control (Ctrl) on your keyboard.
      • If the file is on a network drive or external, plug on the volume of disk or external network.
      • If you find your objects in the trash or recycle bin, restore them to their previous location:
Mac: Control-click or right-click on the item and choose put back.
Windows: Right-click on the item and choose restore.
    4. Once you retrieve the file, use Get new Info to locate the file, and then point iTunes to the correct location.

  • Satellite Pro A300-22F - WLAN is listed with a yellow exclamation point

    I just bought an A300-22nd.
WIFI does not work - in Device Manager the conroller of network (under 'other devices') has an excalamation mark on it - the problem is not installed driver.

Laptop came with a sheet of additive of toshiba on problems with wireless connectivity - which goes through how to install the driver. Two problems - the leaflet is reserved to L300 L300D and copying is of such poor quality that I can't read the instructions!

I know that this phone has WLAN (a, d, g and draft n), and it has a switch for him - what is on and lights up.

At the moment I am connected to the router broadband - not much use as my PC is at the front desk even - I need a wireless connectivity!

  • Satellite Pro A110 - in BIOS exclamation Point in front of the HARD drive

    Satellite A110 Pro PSAB1C-GM80XE

Question is this. SATA CONTROLLER TOAST the laptop?

    Story.

It seems as if the laptop hard drive has failed.
Prior to the laptop, it would get BSOD.
It would, however, go back to windows XP.

After that, sometimes it wouldn't restart, he would try to boot from lan as if there is no hard drives.
    I check the bios.

There is a! in front of the model of the drive. I can't change it, reset default does not change.
No update of the bios was already made.
Page drivers laptop says I have to install the update to the bios from windows xp... I can't do it of course.

I bought a new hard drive for the laptop. WD Scorpio Blue (pretty standard) 160Gig

The laptop recognize model to drive hard in the bios, but once again with the exclamation point in front of the name of the template.

BIOS can see, but nothing else. No windows CD is able to watch the HD.

Once again, it is the sata controller or can someone point me to an update of the bios I can do with a USB key.
Should I just throw the laptop in the trash? I expect to give it a new life with a new hard drive and own bones.

    Hello

What is the BSOD STOP Code?

If 0x0000007B, it means that Windows cannot find a SATA driver for the SATA controller. To solve this BSOD, set the SATA Mode in the BIOS in "COMPATIBILITY" mode, or use a USB floppy with the SATA driver on this subject during the installation of Windows. Press F6 when you are prompted to install a 3rd party storage driver.

Or otherwise, to use the original Toshiba Recovery disk to install Windows.

I do not mean the exclamation point in the BIOS that the HARD drive is faulty, it means that the HARD drive has the highest priority boot on my laptop.

  • Satellite C660 - no access Internet - yellow exclamation point appears

    Hello

I have a toshiba Satellite c660 and there serious internet problems.
When I turn it on, it says that I don't have access to the internet but when I try to use it, a yellow exclamation point will appear then down down on the wifi icon.

If I click on the internet icon and it says im connected to the internet, but I have no internet access.
I'm really confused as to what to do. Internet days might work for a while and then all of a sudden the exclamation point appears there and I can't get working again.

If anyone has any ideas on what is wrong or how to fix Tournay would be GREAT. as for now I can't use the internet wireless on my laptop.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think there could be a problem with your WLan router.
I recommend to reset the router and try again

If this is not enough, clear all settings of encryption like encryption, password encryption, mac address filtering, etc. and try to connect again to open WLan.
But this just for testing purposes

If the connection would be functions, you must configure the router once more.

  • exclamation point for songs matching when the file is deleted

It doesn't stop of getting more bizarre.  When I delete the songs to get the version of iTunes, an exclamation point is carried by the song instead of the cloud with the arrow. I double-click on the song and he said: "the 'X' song could not be used because the original file cannot be found. You want to locate? "Then I hit Cancel it. He then removed the exclamation point, puts the cloud with the arrow through it, as usual, ready for me to click on it and download. In addition, he can now play the song. I have thousands of them in my collection. What I have to double-click on each song and click Cancel so that it it is labeled correctly for iTunes to download game. Yes, I checked library iCloud.

It is the latest version of iTunes 12.3.2.35.  Any suggestions on how I can select all the pieces with this problem and that iTunes is to define each song correctly?

    Hello

Where are located the original songs? What happens when you play these songs on your computer?

  • iTunes can't locate my music. When I try to play a song one get an exclamation point and the message "the song could not be used because the original file cannot be found. You want to locate?

I don't know if I am posting this in the right place. If she must be somewhere else please let me know.

When I try to play a song I get an exclamation point next to the song and a pop up that says: "the song could not be used because the original file cannot be found. You want to locate? »

I use Windows 10 and iTunes version 12.3.1.

It's the path statement where the music is currently located on my hard drive:

If I click on a single song from within File Explorer, it opens iTunes and the song plays without problem.

To try to solve this problem, I went in 'Advanced' in 'Préférences' and changed the iTunes media folder location to match the location of the files on my disk hard as you can see below.

Unfortunately, it did not work either. iTunes is always gives me the same message that it cannot locate the original files. I REALLY hope someone can help me finally tried for weeks to solve this problem.

    Thank you!

Now iCloud is down, if something happens on the end of apples.
