Hello

I'll try to identify the devices without plug & play id, but I can't guarantee anything.
If something is wrong please post the PnP - ID (Device Manager-> properties-> details-> ID devices material).

Ethernet controller is Intel Pro/100 VE or Intel Pro 1000/MT (both have been integrating M2) network adapter
http://support.toshiba-tro.de/Tools/updates/LAN/LAN-XP-8790.zip or http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/lan-20070912134727.zip

Network controller is Intel Pro Wireless 2200 GB or 2100 (same as above, both were build most of the cases. Others like too Atheros and Cisco, but not so often)
http://downloadmirror.Intel.com/13000/Eng/11.5.0.0_xDrivers.zip or http://downloadmirror.intel.com/11918/eng/Intel (R) PROWireless21_125836.zip

Unknown device of infrared

Multimedia audio controller is the SoundMax
http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/Tecra/TM2/XP/sound-TM2-XP-512015160.zip

Please allow me two questions:
Why don't you use the recovery media. It is much easier?
Have you tried to install any driver Toshiba driver page? http://computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

  • Device Manager shows no device, is empty

My 8200 Dell under XP Professional SP3 shows not all devices in Device Manager.  I think that it started very recently when I was installing TM Internet Security after the removal of Norton Anti Virus 2009.  Eventually after using Norton Removal Tool. It doesn't show the devices safe.  Plug and Play is on.  I recently installed an old HP DeskJet 820Cse printer using existing drivers.  I do not think that article 953979 applies since it just (seem), took place but it seems to fit the description.  Any help is appreciated.

There is a Microsoft 953979 patch that works, but it didn't on mine, I then found this articale and followed the instructions and it worked.

    (1) logged as an administrator;
    (2) Regedit > HKLM\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\ENUM.
    (3) right clicked Enum and gives right to the system and administrators full control.
    (4) clicked the button Options at the bottom of the window.
    (5) on the Advanced window checked 'reset permissions on all child objects... ". »
    (6) the deleted Enum key. Error message: error while deleting key. I had to remove this key twice because initially, it appeared the remains of Enum key. After that, the locked ENUM\ROOT\LEGACY_SSDPSRV who already had a lot of weird symbols example $% &' () * +-, etc., now gone. Registry shows an own ENUM\ROOT subkey.
    (7) PC rebooted and back connected to Windows;
    (8) window of the Device Manager showed some yellow exclamation not to mention that some devices not recognized, then refreshed a few times showing successively less then not many of these features.
    (9) PC rebooted again;
    (10) message screen saying according to Windows has finished installing new devices, and the computer must be restarted before the new settings take effect.
    11) Yes to restart the computer

Now the Device Manager window is full and all devices running again!

This solution works for my situation. I hope this helps someone.

    Hey there GEP170!

Please provide additional information about your question. This camera is connected to your computer? To check if this feature is one that is being indicated by the Device Manager, you can try to uninstall this device. If this device still appears in Device Manager, it only means it could be another device.

  • Satellite A100-1AI watch CD player but Device Manager shows the DVD player

I own a Satellite A100-1AI and went from Vista to Windows XP?

My DVD player has been discovered as a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N but is only showing as a CD drive in my computer screen.

Also Device Manager shows Mass Storage Controller and controller SM Bus as an unknown device (other).

Since the switch from Vista to XP I have not adjusted my BIOS settings

How can I make my DVD see CD and erase those unknown devices

    Thanks in advance

    Spon

    Just a question;
You can read and burn CDs?

    Regarding the unknown devices:
These devices are only compatible Vista and so there is no drivers for the mass storage controller.

    Check this box:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB83023N0000R01.htm

+ After the installation of Windows XP, there might be a yellow exclamation by a "PCI memory controller" or * mass storage controller * in Device Manager. +

    _Solution: _
+ This unit is probably the module of Robson former Turbo Memory. +
+ This hardware will only supported by Windows Vista. +
+ That is why there is no Windows XP drivers. +

    Hello
I just bought P200 - 1 K 9 and spotted (Vista 32-bit) Device Manager shows two different processors under the section of processors:

    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz
    Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 @ 2.40 GHz CPU

I expected to see the two excatly the same processors here.

Vista recognizes in general CPU core 2 duo 2.4 GHz, BIOS too.
What is on the Device Manager?

Is there something wrong with the CPU? Should I return it better?
Would you please check your processor in Device Manager (start-> right click on computer-> select Properties-> Device Manager) and let me know what you have?

I'll start some live linux CD and check there too.

    Thank you

    Hi mate,

the you´ve got problem is not a problem. It s just a simple bug in the Vista Device Manager and hardware abstraction layer.
    Follow these steps:
Remove the CPU from the Device Manager (uninstall just like any other device) and then restart windows. The processor will be indicated correctly next time you reboot the system.

  • Device Manager show that this driver may be corrupted or missing (error code: 39) on CD/DVD devices

Device Manager has a yellow ball with an asterisk on the CD & DVD devices.  My computer does not display a device.  The Device Manager has a message that the driver may be corrupted or missing (Code 39).  It happened after uninstalling Norton and McAfee installation.  I uninstalled McAfee and tried to install the drivers.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the device.  Still no CD or DVD displayed in my count.  Everybody recognizes the problem?

Original title: CD & DVD devices do not work

Try following the steps under "Windows XP" in the article following the MS KB:

These measures, to remove the UpperFilters and LowerFilters, values if they exist, in the registry key named can help.

  • My CD drive on my Dell 2400 appears disabled (on Admin Managemnt yellow exclamation point) as this is my plugin dvd recordr/cd player recorder. How can I fix? Thank you

My CD drive on my Dell 2400 appears disabled (on Admin Managemnt yellow exclamation point) as this is my plugin dvd recordr/cd player recorder. How can I fix? Thank you

Locate your CD drive integrated in the device list manager.

Do a right click on it, it should appear a window with "Disable"... 'Enable '.

    Click Activate.

It is a possibility, the other is...

The fact that you are also using EXTERNAL units could be the 'reason' why one integrated disabled to start with.

The USB in the BIOS setting must be wrong... to do this.

In addition, the "HALT ON...» ' Command, in the BIOS, will not. (It is possible that the "Halt" command is... ON "ALL ERRORS").

    Assign to this... "WITHOUT ERRORS".

This should cure the problem of USB connection (for external use) disable your "built-in" CD player

    Hello

I think there could be a problem with your WLan router.
I recommend to reset the router and try again

If this is not enough, clear all settings of encryption like encryption, password encryption, mac address filtering, etc. and try to connect again to open WLan.
But this just for testing purposes

If the connection would be functions, you must configure the router once more.
