LANLITE in mode monitor Dot1x?

Is - this LANLITE switches support monitor mode? We do not seem to write the open command authentication under interfaces.

A min to "LAN core" to perform this function. You can check 'Feature Navigator' from Cisco to confirm this and all similar future requests. I wasn't sure that's what I used to know :)

I swiched monitors and the same results. computer is used for family only, no company. It is running do not install windows 64-bit and some windows updates.

Really sounds like a software problem, but could be a hard drive problem.

Boot tapping F10 select your hard drive, then SMART support, run a short self-test. If it goes, try to run a last good known Configuration.

Start type F8 and select last good Configuration know. This will automatically return the system for when it was working properly.

  • How can I activate the remote computer to power saving Mode monitor?

I am a technician in a small private company and it is my duty to keep all desktop computers works very well.
    Desktop computers:

    • are the Dell Optiplex GX260
    • Run Windows XP SP3
    • have Dell 17 "monitors
    • with Intel Pentium 4 (2.4 Ghz) processor with 1 GB RAM

I do my job after working hours. I connect to them with my laptop (running Windows 7) and check their conditions, one by one. Now, my employer comes to know that when I do this whole process monitors for desktop computers continue to run. As it is not put in place a very large company and electricity and the price of fuel in Pakistan are very high. So, he asked me to find a way to turn the monitors to the power saving mode, when I do my work. In this way, it will be significant energy savings and fund savings in monthly bills. So, can someone please tell me How do I turn on monitor of the remote computer to the power saving mode?

There are several ways to handle this.

#1-have affected the power turn on their monitors, but let run PC
#2-click Start > Control Panel > Power Options and choose how long it is before the screen turns off. Once your activity on their machine is complete, then will kick time.
#3-you say that you connect to their machines to check their conditions... whatever that means exactly. You can map their computer management console directly to your machine and I * think * he didn't wake up the monitor.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

Since buying my PC a few months ago, it has been one of the ' display' problems after another. This is the current problem:

When executing step by step away from my computer, I block via Win + L and shortly after that my monitor turns off. When you return a few moments later, I try to wake up to the top (but not really "wake up"...) To try to solve the problems of previous display, I already disabled hibernation options and sleep) my computer by moving my mouse. This causes monitors leave standby mode and be able to raise but what is dispalyed is black screens when I should have been introduced to the login screen.

Mouse clicks and keyboard do nothing and I'm stuck at black screens. To continue, I press the power button on my PC causing the hard drives to spin-up and shortly after the computer turns off. I press the power button and start the computer to the login screen where as soon as I get my password, Windows loads and all my programs etc appear like they were before I blocked my PC.

You can see previous problems, I had the list below, if all goes well they will help you to detect the cause of the current problem.

    Help, please.

    Thank you!

    Peter

    Previous problems I had:

    (1) when the awakening from hibernation, the computer would not wake up screensavers leaving no way for you to connect and save your work. Hard reboot needed. Solution: Disable hibernation Windows features.

    (2) error in the sense of "driver has no display and recovered." Possible solution: disabled hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    (3) when waking from sleep, I find that my 2 monitors have merged into one and a different resolution than usual. Once entered password to connect, programs that were on separate monitors are now on the same monitor. Right click on the desktop and selecting 'Screen Resolution'-> 'Detect' would set monitors to return to normal until the problem recurs. Possible solution: updated graphics driver. Don't know if this problem has been corrected, it may have just been concealed by the new problem mentioned above.

Thanks, but the steps above had no effect.

However, during a windows update, my graphics card driver has been restored and that seems to have stopped the problem.

Unfortunately, again I see apps that were on two screens before lock/standby, appearing on the screen even after release sleep/wake. So far he did not often so we'll see.

  • Dimension 5150 puts random mode monitors 'sleep'

    Hello world

I have a Dimension 5150 2006-era tower that frequently but randomly will monitor to all this which is connected to in mode 'sleep', with the only difficulty being a reboot.  The computer is certainly still active as you can inside VNC.

I tried a whole bunch of bugs, including:

    -different monitor

    -different cables

-added a video card that uses DVI (exactly the same problem happens)

    -malware

    -update the video driver

-disabled power sleep in Windows Vista settings

-disabled standby settings in the BIOS to power

    -update the BIOS

-reinstalled XP Home, using the recovery disk

This problem sometimes, right after that the computer is started, sometimes hours later, sometimes it never happens until I turn the stop/restart computer.  He went a week or two without that being a problem, then after a reboot, that's going to start to happen again.

I am running out of ideas and guess this is a power supply or motherboard problem.  Someone has something else I could try?

I would try a new power supply.

I fixed a 5150 parent last year - of strange problems that proved to be due to a lack of power.

  • Sleep mode monitor makes peripheral computer play disconnect sound

I have 2 new Dell Optiplex 380 and 780 PC with DVI for integrated Intel G41 poster cards cards running Windows 7 Pro (Dell OEM).

Whenever the power settings are defined for the monitor in standby, the computer plays the sound 'disconnect a device' every 7 seconds.  This only happens when using the provided Dell printer driver Intel and the monitor is connected to the DVI card.  The problem does not exist when you use default Microsoft video driver, or if the monitor is connected directly to the analog VGA video port.

I want to use the Intel driver, because there the popup application that allows video parameters to be changed including the rotation of the screen image.  This was reported to Dell, but they indicate that it must be a problem with Windows 7.  It does not occur with drivers of Dell/Intel Windows XP - SP3.

I had the same problem with all the equipment Dell (PC and monitor).  I had no problem with our XP image, but once I started to work on the image of Win7, I started to experience.

I found that it was only a problem when I got the screen attached to the DVI port, but not the VGA port.
To solve the problem, I went into the menu of the monitor and changed the entrance to AutoDetect, DVI.
    I hope this helps.
  • My monitor keeps going blank every 15 minutes while I'm streaming from netflix

I would like to change my time interval of sleep mode monitor

Time to 'Wait' Saver screen and the interval "Turn off monitor" can be changed in the display tab control panel "Screen saver" and power (properties) control panels Options respectively.

Under Windows® XP, the easy way to do this is with the right button on the desktop and select "Properties" from the context menu that appears.  This will open the display control panel.  Select the tab "Screensaver".  You can either set the "screen saver" '(None)' or set the 'Wait' time at a ridiculously high value.  There is a 'Power' button in the pane "Power Monitor" of the screen "Screensaver" tab, click on it.  This opens the power Option Properties Control Panel.   Replace "Eating patterns" 'Présentation' (while noting what is the original schema, so you can change back).  Click 'OK' on two control panels.

  • Vista goes into sleep mode automatically just after the restart

The following problem was irregular. Sometimes, other times not. I'm totally frustrated as to why it is happening and I would like to solve this problem, now and forever.

Yes, first facts: I have an Asus G71Gx laptop game with Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 M. 6 GB of memory, Windows Vista 64-bit. Do not think that other information is necessary, unless I'm mistaken.

The problem: well, just after the start/start my laptop goes into sleep mode. As in, Windows starts fine and I see my desktop with all the shortcut icons and the background, and then all of a sudden the screen goes black (with two Dim lights blue on the screen - fellow Asus G71Gx users will know it), and the power led button flashes slowly in and out, as if it was in sleep/hibernation. The led light cover mode monitor "sleep". I did the whole "all never put under power options. I've updated my Nvidia graphic drivers for later. I even disabled Hibernate in the command prompt. Seriously, I have above average PC knowledge. But it has trampled me... everything short.

Sometimes, I have to go through this cycle up to 9 or 10 times and then stops. Other days there is no question. But I still have to reboot just to be safe and to avoid the game stutter (another question that I don't know what it is, since I was the latest GPU drivers). But I can live with that.

It cannot be an overheating GPU. I mean, it's at the start and at the present time, it is cold enough to have this piece as a cooler for the GPU! Haha.

I thought about possible power supply problems. But how to test it? The laptop doesn't have it, the first week I got it. I use an adapter to put the American card in European decision-making.

It is the ONLY major problem I have with this laptop. Sleep at startup. The other two, being game stutter if I don't restart my laptop and double tapping (seems to be an Asus problem according to the forums), are quite minor and I can live with that.

Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm VERY tempted to get windows 7 and do a clean install, but Vista was not really giving me any problems. But if I know that this issue is associated with Vista, then I say Bravo to Vista...

Edit: Apologies for writing this thread Windows 7 and explore the internet forum. Don't know how it happened! Well I'm leaving here now, and hopefully this will get sorted.

After 2 replacements of mobo that apparently caused this same prob, what finally fixed for me has been updated the chipset drivers.

  • Two monitors: right of the title bar part cannot be moved

    Hi Ho

When I use two monitors in landscape mode (monitor extends the desktop of the screen from left to right), a part of the title bar of the program and windows Explorer is not responding. This does not happen when I use a single monitor. Since I use windows explore pillar-shaped, it is quite annoying, because I need to aim the small area that is still sensitive to drag a window exactly.

The area on which is the upper right, just next door to reduce, enlarge, close buttons. Note that the thin strip under these buttons is responive above the entire title bar. Here is a picture of clarification:

    http://S27.postimg.org/kvhswknoz/windows_title_bar.jpg

I've marked the sensitive area with the blue wire, the area on which the red. My windows are much thinner. The area on which remains the same size, regardless of the width of the window.

I use Windows 7 pro, with almost the latest updates.  My left monitor is plugged as number 2, but is set as the main monitor. This is why the task bar on the left monitor.

    OK, I found the culprit.

Is AMD Hydravision (the title of the Startup items) that is causing the problem. But I had to disable the Catalsyst control center as well, because this would reactivate Hydravision automatically during startup.

Thank you, Sandy, for your help.

To resolve the problem, run msconfig, activate the Startup tab and disable the AMD Hydravision and Catalyst Control Center.

  • Maximum frequency in resource monitor

In Task Manager, Performance tab, button resource monitor, which is the "percentage of the maximum frequency" and is related to the Turbo Boost?

I have a 3.4 GHz quad-core i7 with Windows 7 64 bit.  The percentage of the maximum frequency is usually 103%, but sometimes it's 102 or 101.  I downloaded an Intel program that displays the status of the Turbo Boost.  I had all four cores running, so the Turbo Boost was 3.5.  The Max Freq 103%, and being about 103 percent of the 3.4 3.5, I think that showed the Turbo Boost.  But I ended up some processes, the Turbo Boost has increased, but this percentage is not gone - in fact, he came down.  So, what's the percentage of frequency and is related to the Turbo Boost?

    Hello

You can not push beyond a certain point and some variance is scheduled. Check with
Intel, documentation and community support. It's really a hardware problem and
not directly related to Windows so that you ask the right questions however in the wrong
places. A person fully familiar with your processor and your hardware can give you
examples of what results you can expect.

    Federico.

    Ferderico,

How do you test the VLAN Auth failure?  If you test with a bad password and using the PEAP Protocol it is considerred a reproducible error which should not cause a rejection of the RADIUS server, instead the password can be retried without ripping first in the tunnel TLS via an Access-Reject.  As long as it is configured, it should be 3 access - reject the server RADIUS must be filed in the VLAN auth failure.  If I remember correctly a bad username is also reproducible.

If you use DCC 5 you can lower the number of retries PEAP 1 in which case you will have failed connection 6 times with a wrong password to hit the VLAN auth failure.

  • 3702 AP loss connectivity to WLC in local mode

    Hi Experts,

I have an AP 3702 which loses connectivity to the WLC and line protocol goes down.

PoE is always present on the connection to the switch, but only to 15.4 instead of the full 16.8 as with normal operation 3702.

There are 8 other 3702 AP this floor who have no problem.

"Could arp not the ip address of the controller, try again later" is a common phenomenon in their newspapers so I don't think it has any bearing on the issue with this particular access point.

All 9 x 3702 are connected to a switch of edge double accommodation 3750 X battery via 3 x 3560CX in the ceilings.

If I close and (after some time) put to the port of the switch, the AP will get back in touch with the WLC, but then drop again as before in an hour or two.

I deleted the config on the AP and let it sit in mode monitor/sniffer for a few days and he stayed until perfectly so I thought everything was ok. I've reconfigured to accept clients, and since then, it has dropped again.

Hope that this is not a hardware failure and your advice is really appreciated.

    Thank you

Messages above give me the feeling that there is a problem with communication between the physical network of the access point connection and control software. This can be hardware and associated software. Your best bet to analyze tracing messages is TAC, so my advice is to connect a case and let send them your registration. The 3700's have "limited lifetime warranty" so you can ask a new in case it is broken (even without a smartnet) you have to wait at least 10 days. Keep us informed about the solution! • Dot1x multidomain on Catalyst 2960

    Hello

I improved my 2960 with the latest basic version of LAN 12.2 (46) which includes the authentication of domain Multi (MDA) and I tried to configure what is described here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk389/tk814/technologies_configuration_example09186a00808abf2d.shtml

I have the following exceptions in my configuration:

    (1) SE - cat 2960 with the latest version of IOS 12.2 (46) that supports the MDA;

    (2) using the Win2K IAS as a server radius. and

    (3) third party (Avaya) with active begging dot1x IP phone. I have a PC with ability to dot1x connected to the second port of the IP phone.

That's what I set up on the phone IP port:

    interface FastEthernet0/9

    switchport access vlan 221

    switchport mode access

    switchport voice vlan 222

    dot1x EAP authenticator

    self control-port dot1x

    multi-domain host-mode dot1x

    protect the dot1x violation-mode

    dot1x reauth-deadline 30

    dot1x re-authentication

    spanning tree portfast

I also configured the server Radius IAS Win2K to send RADIUS 'cisco-av-pair attribute' tell the authenticator (Cisco Catalyst 2960) that a supplicant (IP phone) is authorized on the voice VLAN as described in config-notes above link.

When the supplicant IP phone starts to authenticate, he succeeds, but that the port does not allow the field of VOICE, even though the 2960 receives the attribute "cisco-av-pair" of the Radius Server RADIUS. I confirmed the reception of this attribute of debugging on the switch.

  • Comments by cable CWA with ISE

Having a devil of a time getting it works.

First option is for the device to try to authenticate using Dot1X/EAP-TLS - to only the devices in the field.

If that fails, they want the option to skip a CWA portal where they can enter any creds AD or internal comments user creds.

My challenge is the policy and the insertion location.

I use the ISE 1.2 strategy games

Currently, I have these statements in the set default policy:

Name of the rule Conditions Permissions
Auth Portal wired comments If Net Access: UseCase equals Guest Flow Allow access
Wired reviews redirection If Wired_MAB Wired CWA

I thought, it's if they fail the .1x, they let fall down here at Wired MAB, and who will launch a redirect and comments feed.

    Relationship problems:

First of all, there is no try; an auth sess show indicates the correct redirect URL sent to the switchport.

Unfortunately, my browser pop gives me an error of unrecognized certificate, and if I try to continue anyway, it does nothing. Wireless reviews, that I copied works very well.

Second challenge is that it requires the redirect if I (n) switch to Monitor Mode or Low Impact.  This is a problem because there are several sites, and we'll cut each more low Impact gradually.

He saw someone, or a document detailing terms of step by step implementation of this?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Andrew! Yes, good work on the portal of setting question!

And Yes, authorization rules are considered even in open mode. And you are as good as you need create different rules to account for DNA which are in production and to the DNA that are in monitor mode. I always liked using a separate strategy defined for the Mode Monitor and a separate strategy defined for the Modeof Production . Then, I used edge location to match with these conditions. For each location, I have two subgroups: one for the instructor and one for Production. This way I can move a n leave monitor mode full production by simply changing its group.

Finally, Yes, your CWA rules must be at the bottom of your authorization of production rules.
