After reading what you wrote, I think that it is a good decision to buy this laptop Qosmio.
For best performance, you need to optimize OS preinstalled. What does deletes everything preinstalled, you do not need, install your favorite applications, disable or unnecessary processes and services, make sure that unnecessary applications do not start with the OS. I think you know what I mean and you probably don't have this already before you start using the operating system.

I don't know how it works in Australia, but here, in Europe, you can buy some products and test for two weeks. If you don't like it you can return it. If it is the same in your country, buy it, test it and make sure that you choose the right product.

Please inform us of your experience with this multimedia toy.

  • My lap top will not start now upward

I installed the updates using the custom option, including hardware. My lap top now not start. I use Windows XP

Although your experience seems more severe that much, it is never a good idea to get the hardware from Windows Update updates.

The best rule on driver updates is: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

This means that, unless you have a problems with a device that you know will be set with a new or replacement driver or (b) need several new features provided by an updated driver, there is no reason to update your driver.

Now that I told you what you shouldn't do, let's see if we can get you back to where you were.

What happens when you try to start the computer?  If you get an error message, what is it (please do not paraphrase)?

You can start the computer Safe Mode (F8 repeatedly just to tap after turning the power on tests)?

Do you remember what hardware updates that you have installed?

If you can start safe mode, log on using an account with computer administrator privileges.  You can use the built-in "Administrator" account (which should show on the homescreen mode without failure).  The default password (if you did not indicate a) is empty (that is, no password).

If you can connect to an administrator account on the computer in Safe Mode AND you can remember what peripheral hardware (s) that you have installed new drivers for, then use the "Restore drivers" function for devices that you updated.  See
    http://www.TechRepublic.com/article/roll-back-your-drivers-with-Windows-XP/1046827
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/306546

If you can connect to an administrator in Mode safe account, but you can't remember what hardware updates that you have installed, things are a little more difficult.   Ago that something called 'Safe Mode with network', but Windows Update is not working properly in Mode safe unless you start messing around in the registry, you cannot use this method to return to Windows Update to see your update story and determine what material you updated.

However, assuming that you have not disabled the system restore, which should have created a Restore Point in the framework of the installation of updates and/or new pilots.  See http://lifehacker.com/193546/geek-to-live--roll-back-windows-with-system-restore
IF you have made no changes to your system since you installed the updates (especially if you have not installed or uninstalled applications), then log in as a user with privileges "computer administrator" and launch the system restore.  See http://bertk.mvps.org/ Pick Restore Point the most recent that is before installing the hardware updates (drivers).  If you use a Restore Point before installing all the updates of this session, return to Windows Update and update any material 'critical '.

Note that although you can use Safe Mode system restore, if you do, you can't "undo" restore operation - which is something you can do if you use the restore system in normal mode - so keep that in mind before doing a system restore.

  • I just be reformatted my computer and now when I turn on my lap top it takes a user name and password

my computer aka the computer dell laptop starts, but before it goes to the screen of welcome I have to logg microsoft XP and I don't know the user name and password

Original title: I just reformatted my computer and now when I turn on my lap top there need a username and password and I have no idea what is it please can someone help me

If you reformatted your computer / reinstalled Windows XP, then you entered an administrator password twice, possibly with a security issue, or you have left all these blanks.

    Try:

    -Username: admin - password:
-Just to fill the area of the administrator user and press enter

In addition, if you load to the Welcome screen, now try the CTRL + ALT key and tap DEL twice.  This should give you CTRL + ALT + DEL logon box.

  • I have problems with my lap top which is been updated, but the older the other updates to the service pack file is still present?

I tried to run Mr. Fix it and get the icon cache is indicated as an error of changing icons and does not repair. I'm doing Defrag disk to re - configure the HDD without losing valuable records and continue to get a size of insufficient volume of about 12% to reconfigure the hard drive. I tried to remove some files more since then and things are run faster by removing a lot of material from google. • my lap top last 10 minutes and just shuts down what could be the problem

my lap top powers on and works fine for about ten minutes is so stop just to what could be the problem

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way? Keep in mind
This associated heat does not always mean too much heat as it is often a part or a component
who is too sensitive to normal levels even heat.

Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (both ends where possible).
in fact, remove and replace - don't do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the
air vents. Check that fans are working (before and after opening the case). When your laptop on all the
You can do is to reinstall the memory and clean the vents (still may try to add a small fan as a
    test).

This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need help
a real computer store (not the leeks and the glances at a Best Buy or other stores) or the
    Support of system Maker.

  • My his default keeps beeping while I'm on my lap top

My his default beep warning while I have on my lap top How to find why he do this?

The noise occurs even if you are not using the computer, or only when you use it?  It happens all the time or can you assicate with any activity you perform?  The frequency with which the sound does happen?  It occurs during playback of a song or other audio file or do that make it go away?

Right-click on the Volume icon in the notification area of the taskbar and click sounds.  Browse the list of sound events (if necessary), and then click Test for each of them to see if you can identify it as the sound that you hear - then we can have some clues as to why it is being implemented.  It could also be quite, but if it's a common event then this process may discover.

Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

I hope this helps.  Let us know if you find it (or if you do not have) and what happened in clean and safe mode.

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    -

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    -

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.
