laptop 2000: cannot complete startup on HP 2000 Windows 8

I have a HP 2000 Windows 8 (not sure if 32 or 64 bit). Some time ago I met a problem starting, which seems to be similar to that published on 21/08/2014 amount «I have a hp2000-2b19wm...» ». The system starts until it happens to my home screen, then it is totally insensitive. He feels that there are a lot of things running in the backgorund such that the reader is completely tied up. I have a lower right corner of the message that updates are available, which I can believe since it has been a few months since I've updated.

I tried on my own to do but F8 safe mode start-up assistance which was ineffective; just keep doing a regular full boot. I read the solution regarding the start-up of Windows 8 Mode without failure given in the above referenced post. However, the link does not take me to a document, just to the HP support page general.

Use F8 the right way to enter into the Mode without boot failure, or it's not like I have an another question?

Thank you.

@jsfrisbie,

    Hi all

This is my first post, so please be nice. :)

I have searched posts and google for ideas but am not coming up with all erases responses pertaining to my question.

For several weeks now, my laptop was very slow and crashes when you use quite often cause me to have to manually stop the unit by holding the button for 10 seconds.

This eventually led me to restore my unit at the end of the condition of the box using the recovery partition. In the next few days, I have updated windows, drivers, etc.

I noticed a very slight improvement in performance, but he "still felt" warm and then frozen again. Manually, I restarted and was given two options:

    Windows Startup Repair (recommended)
    Start windows normally

I chose the repair option only to receive a message saying that windows could not repair the startup. The details of the diagnosis and repair gave me root causes of:
A recent driver installation or upgrade may prevent the system from starting.
Repair action: repair and checking the integrity of system files.
    Result: failed. Error code = 0 x 490
    Time: 529733 ms

I then went into system recovery options and selected and windows memory diagnostic tool restart now and check for problems.
Laptop computer has restarted and began testing. Once the test is complete the device tried to restart but hung on a black screen with only the cursor visible.

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

Looks like the installed Windows operating system is corrupt
In my eyes, you should try to reinstall new OS.
If you have important files on the HARD drive, then you could try to start Notepad using a live CD; like Linux, Windows PE (WinPE) or BartPE
    http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/

That would help you get access to the files on the HARD drive that you could save on external USB HDD or USB flash memory.

  • Windows could not complete the installation. to install windows on installation of HP DV6-7007TX, this restart of the 64-bit computer

I buy a new HP Pavilion DV6-7007TX. I don't want the pre loaded Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit that's why I decided to format it using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, but after reboot before the Installtion "filling" to finish an Error Message is displayed "windows cannot complete the installation. to install windows on installation, this restart of the computer", I rebooted several times but the same error pops up

Why not just do you do an Anytime Upgrade of Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate?

If the license for Windows 7 Ultimate, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Ultimate edition at the request, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate files the stored settings and programs.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document in question on the link below.

  • I'm not like WIndows 8 on my new HP laptop 2000-2c29WM

I just bought a HP laptop 2000-2c29WM with Windows 8 64 bit OS on it and I don't like it at all. Can I downgrade the OS by the reinstallation of WIndows 7? I have a full copy I bought for my last laptop that has been destroyed. And where could I find the hardware drivers?

    HEY Jf,

You can certainly 'back' to Windows 7 - some people and in your case, the drivers for your computer are still available for the change is possible without pain.

If you think about some of the reasons to stay with this new great operating system, please take a look at some of the ways you can do Windows 8 a little more comfortable while you "make friends" with her.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Windows 8 has many new features, many of which are visible on the 'front end' where the boot screen took the place of the Start Menu button.

There are some immediate things you can do that make it easier to navigate in this start screen:

    • Whenever you need to find something - a program, application, or a file, you can go to the screen start dragging your finger (for touch screens) or your mouse to the lower left corner of the screen.  Once the splash screen is up and running and you can see your 'charms and tiles' (large icons), just start tapping anywhere on the screen for the 'thing' you're looking for.  It's your new method of ' search and type ".  You can use whole words, of words, any pieces that you think you need.
    • Consider using the Windows key to make things easier to find and easier tasks.  The Windows key by itself displays the splash screen, the Windows key in combination with other keys do all kinds of cool stuff:

    Windows key + X

    • If you like the start screen and think you want to do even better, then you can customize it!

Tiles and charms of Windows 8

    • New Windows 8 Connection Options include the choice to open a session in Windows 8 using your password to Microsoft Account OR the standard 'Stand Alone' connection to the personal computer.  On the surface of things the Microsoft Account login account synchronized sounds wonderful; a lot of people want to take advantage of the opportunities offered.  BEWARE OF USERS!  If ever you thought maybe it's time to use a better, intelligent and more secure password, it is at this time.

Understand that if you do not use the Microsoft connection, you can ALWAYS easily connect to your Microsoft account later when you need access to the Microsoft store.  If you use the Windows 8 connection depends on how you decide to use the home screen (sometimes called 'Metro' screen) the installation program and the level of connectivity, you need for your Social Media environment.

    • It is therefore important to have backups!  So many people wait until it's too late.

HP - backup of your files (Windows 8) computers

    • The 'file history' backup in Windows 8 is a new very cool feature you can easily configure to save backups of your data on an external drive.  For example, you might have a mini-tower, a Pocket Player or a USB drive connected to your computer that you can use for backups.  You can use a NAS (Network Attached Storage) system, if you have one in your office (home).

Example of a network address NAS drive would include the IP address of your local NAS drive, the main folder available for backup and maybe a local folder dedicated for your own files:

    \\192.168.0.1\Data\Dragon-Fur_History

The backup of default history file intercepts files in your "libraries", contacts and favorite settings and runs a new backup to update every hour all that has changed, i.e. "changed" since the last time that the data has been added to the backup.  Nice.  Under "Advanced settings", you can change the duration between two backups in different groups of ten minutes to once a day.

You can easily add folders to the history of the leader, by adjusting, files that are in your 'libraries' setting.

NOTE: If you have a number of files in "libraries" that you maintain for your convenience, and you do not require these files to save to history files, you can always "exclude" these folders of the backup by using the feature "exclude".

If space on your external drive is at a premium, consider reducing the number of versions you want to keep.  Under Advanced settings, just to the right side, under where you decide how long to keep your backups, click "Clean up versions" > remove anything, you can live without.

    • Don't forget that Windows 8 start faster, too - you'll be operational more quickly with Windows 8 and on your way to what you want to do!
    • All new software coming out - HP and Microsoft will be in the future, be centered on Windows 8 and beyond.  When you are looking for support, most of the applications, the most recent printing software, even the possibility to connect your computer to the rest of the world will depend on more a updated, connected and secure environment.  Windows 8 helps provide this path to the future.

Well, I typed my question in my title.  I have had absolutely no problem under windows 8.1 to 12 items, but unfortunately the death of my laptop could not be repaired, so I had to get a new 8.1 one and that time windows was no longer available on the laptop I wanted. Who would have the go-getter, comparable to my old and able to handle my photography.  SO I have an I7 processor 2.6 Ghz with 6 MB of cache and 16 GB of Ram with Windows 10 64-bit operating system.

As indicated above, while the Publisher will open the photos in camera raw, once I made my changes and try to "open image" I get the message he, "it cannot complete my request because an error occurred." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times with the same results.  I made also all updates have been made. About 10% of the time, it will open up the photo, but then when I try to record it says that I don't have enough memory.  Do not know how this can be, this configuration of the computer is basically the same as my other, only difference is windows 10.  Not even close to a full hard drive. When you press the F8 key and access the Safe Mode start screen, use the arrow keyboard keys to select "Safe Mode with networking" and press the Enter"" key.  A list of startup items you will see on the screen, but after all that, you will get a normal login screen (except the screen may seem bigger than normal and 'Safe Mode' can appear in the corners of the screen.  At this point, log in as any user with administrator privileges.  After successfully login, you should be able to right click on a folder or file and select "Properties".  When the Properties screen, you should have a 'Security' tab at the top.

Another approach is to use the command line command "cacls" to a normal startup that will show and allow you to set permissions on files and folders.  (Start-> Run-> "cmd") and then you can use the cacls command.  The Calc command syntax can be found here:

  • Windows cannot complete the Installation in Mode safe

Hi, I have a Packard Bell with Windows Vista laptop

The graphics card on the laptop no longer works. The stops of the laptop to a black screen when loading windows, but worked perfectly in safe mode.
I talked to the technician who said to reinstall the operating system, so I used F8 and then chose "Repair computer", and then selected recovery Packard Bell and wanted to reinstall my laptop, which has successfully completed.
Restarting the laptop and as he cannot get to windows it cannot complete the installation of the operating system, I try to go to safe mode that loads but I get an error saying something in the sense of "Windows is unable to complete the installation in safe mode. Stop and try in windows. I'm stuck now and can not use the laptop at all. I want to be able to use the computer laptop atleast in safemode, required the installation of vista.

I can access the command-line by F8 and then choosing 'computer repair. Can I use the command prompt to complete the installation.
Or y at - it another way I can complete the installation?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

    you have little choice

    1. attach the graphics card

2 and contact the manufacturer because it is their recovery process, NOT microsofts

you already know that you can not complete the process of recovery of manufacturers in safe mode

and we cannot help you with their recovery process

    good luck with it

  • Cannot complete downloads of. EXE of Internet files.

Cannot complete downloads of. EXE of Internet files. A certain percentage of download ends and the progress bar indicator scrolls then quickly at the end, as it would with a successful download. Of course, if I try to open the download it says it is corrupt or incomplete. Examples of programs that I tried to download Mozilla, Skype, Avast Anti-virus. Had to download on an external drive and then install them on my laptop.
I tried many suggestions from the Internet to try to fix this problem without success. This includes changing the settings of Internet security, etc.
I am running Windows 7 on a new laptop Dell Vostro/1520. Any help would be appreciated.
