laptop camera?

The computer that I am wrrting on is: product name: HP Pavilion dm4, laptop, product number: XZ298UA #ABA {deleted personal information}, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit Service Pack 1.

The question I have is when I got to the laptop, there is a big rectangular box, I think that the camera, which fluttered down from the top of the screen.  I turned off somehow or something because it was annoying me.  First of all, what is it?  How can I get it back?

This page will provide a "how-to" use your webcam document, but also a test of a webcam and use it in your favorite instant messaging conversation.

Please let me know if this helps with what you're trying to do.

Good luck!

If my laptop came with Vista installed on it, but it crashed and I currently have installed linux, can I still switch to 7 for $30?

    Hello

Unfortunately, you cannot switch from Linux to windows operating system 7, but you can upgrade from Windows vista to Windows 7.

Because you are unable to upgrade Linux, I suggest you perform a custom installation of Windows 7.

    Hello

You have received incorrect information from Blue microwave

    "I have a new Toshiba with 7"

You cannot move the key product/license OEM Windows 7 preinstalled on Toshiba computer to another machine.

Here is some information on the license OEM Windows 7 has been preinstalled on your new machine from Toshiba

If the laptop came with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, Toshiba, HP, Acer, etc.), it is an OEM license and this product key supplied with the laptop is preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.

Preinstalled OEM license of operating system on Toshiba, Dell, HP, machinery etc. is related to the first machine that it has been installed on and dies when dies of this machine.

Only retail OS licenses, you buy and install yourself, are allowed to transfer to another machine.

    OEM licensing rules:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/OEM/en-GB/licensing/sblicensing/pages/licensing_faq.aspx#fBid=iePP5a9JaWJ

Follow the advice of Mike Hall MVP and go back to XP.

    See you soon.

  • I have reinstalled 7home premium windows on my computer laptop samsung R540 laptop came preinstalled w/a webcam. How can I get the web cam work?

I have reinstalled 7home premium windows on my computer laptop samsung R540 laptop came preinstalled w/a webcam. Once windows 7 has been installed, the web cam never came. I ran the update of windows the cam came, but only 2 of the 3 components have been installed. How can I get the web cam work?

By visiting the support Samsung to get the drivers win7 and app photo, specific to your model.

But assuming you used all the recovery of the samsung cd driver & the camera application should be installed in any recovery process.

  • laptop camera has stopped working!

Skype was working well, but now it says that it cannot find my webcam! I don't have any other programs running. integrated sound to my laptop and I can't work, how to fix it! What should I do? im running windows xp, I think, tried to update. nothing works.

You need first to update your installation of Windows 7 in the last Service Pack 1 (SP1) and update the drivers of the system.

I would also say to uninstall the ASUS Virtual Camera application.

  • My laptop camera image on the upside after the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

I have a laptop Asus G50Vt - X 1, which is a 64-bit computer. It had Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit installed on it and the unit worked properly with him. I ran the update of Windows 7 Advisory on this matter and he said I could upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. After the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit the images from the camera are all upside. I contacted Asus about the problem and they sent me the drivers updated, but the images are still upside down. Pourrait Windows 7 cause this problem as I know that it worked fine under Vista?

I also noticed that my dvd/cd player and external hard drives don't stop the execution after that I have quit an application. When this happens, I can't eject the cd or remove the drive from the computer.

Windows Update has nothing to do with the upgrade of Windows. Post future questions in one of these forums, please: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads

Contact Sony and ask them if they can help you. But realize that since XP is now essentially obsolete, there is a good chance that they are unable to help you. You will need to find a used copy, you can buy.

  • Z580 - laptop came with BIOS PASSWORD?

    3 years ago, I bought a lenovo Z580 since m6mobile.fr.

I've never had access to the BIOS up to this point, because I want to sell this laptop.
However, there is a BIOS password set, and I never put it. Do you have the dealer set a BIOS password on my laptop, or was it Lenovo?

If you say it was me, no it was not, unless someone crept into my room and controlled to me which is probably not the case.

    Thank you

    I FOUND THE PASSWORD ^^

I called digitalriver and asked them if they put a password on their laptops...

They told me to try 1234 and 0000

And guess what! It's 1234! So happy ^^ actually I'm involved so no luck I tried 123456 and 12345678 before but I never thought it will be 1234!

    Troubleshoot camera connection
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Troubleshoot-camera-connection-problems

Vista references apply to Windows 7.

You probably need to recharge the device drivers and any software control of the 'IF' camera, there is
    everything for Windows 7.

    Login as an administrator.

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

Then let windows updates on however prevent loading of drivers who are often older than the
those that you have installed. If updates suggests a pilot and then HIDE it and watch manually to see if their
really is a more recent version (at the time system manufacturer and the sites of the manufacturer of the device).

  • My laptop came with XP Home Edition and I have installed XP Professional SP3, how remove XP Home and keep my files?

I have two operating systems on my laptop and really only want one, how to uninstall XP Home Edition and still retain my files to move them to XP Professional that I have already installed.

I installed the XP Pro SP3 because I had problems with XP Home and I understand that XP Pro is an operating system much better.  Help, please

You can modify the boot.ini file to remove the unwanted entry

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/289022

Depends on what files you want to move, you can move the data, but you cannot move the programs, they will have to be resettled.

For data, you will need to be supported, see victory help

Once you have transferred all the data just delete the folder of windows redundent
