  I have a problem with my laptop. It is a series of Toshiba C55. When I close the lid it will not be in hibernation, even if I set power options to do so.   AFAIK in Vista that you can use the same options as under WXp. check please supply option and you will find an option called when I close the lid. As option, choose no action.

  I think you should be able to close the lid while watching the movie on screen.

  For the Satellite A200, there are two versions available; one for XP and one for Vista.

  Also, make sure that you have the latest graphics card driver and keep your XP to date.
