LaserJet CM1312: Network connect fails installation

Hello

When you install CM1312 printer on win 10 64 bit it fails on the last step: connect to a network printer.

It found the printer on the network correctly, but then fails to connect. Network address is correct - PC Win 7 on the same network connects fine to the same address. Win 10 is perfectly up-to-date and certainly 64-bit. Tried to disable firewall and in time actual anti-virus (McAfee) but no difference.

Any ideas please?

Hello

I got it work. I tried to install the HP driver downloaded by logging in as an administrator, what seemed like a reasonable thing to do.

Don't know why, but I got the idea to try a user account. Of course it took me the admin password, but he then to install OK, and now all is good.

(We wanted to use the HP driver because the driver used by Windows scan does not scan in PDF format).

You must set up a wireless internet connection in the network as well as the connection sharing normal LAN wireless and connect to it as well as the local connection.  If you don't do this, you will not have an internet connection.  You need both.  You must also enable some features in the main area sharing network to access the internet - they are quite well defined.  If I were you, I remove all wireless Vista machine and set up from scratch.  I would like to even re - install the wireless network card drivers /, firmware or software just to be safe.

  • Since the installation of El Capitan, I can't connect to shared on the network computers. I can see them, but when I try to connect it says connection failed. I can connect directly in Parallels using a shortcut.

I can't connect to shared network computers. Not a problem already before the update to OS X El Capitan. The computers appear in the Finder under heading Shared, but when I try to connect it says connection failed. However, under Parallels Windows 7 I can properly connect via the shortcut or mapped drive. Any suggestions?

El Capitan is a bit fussy about safety. Try

Finder > go > connect to server...

and enter the address of the server explicitly in the dialog box that appears.

  • HP LaserJet M1522nf begins to lose the network connection

Hello! I have HP LaserJet M1522nf and I use it for about 1 year maybe, but since last week, he begins to lose the network connection (ping failed, web interface does not work too). To be correct, the printer is connected directly to the network through an ethernet cable, and the cable is perfectly fine. His work when you turn it on and for the next 5 to 15 minutes, but after that it lost connection (tasks start fails).

I really like using little aid, some perhaps of advice. Any suggestions?

Hard reset the router to factory settings and reconfigure your settings.  Pass the cable to a different port on the router.  You said that the cable was good... change anyway.  Try now.

  • HP Laserjet Pro 400 - M451dw: M451dw "Connect failed" error

I posted this in the wrong forum (oops) so let's try that here.

We just upgraded our router (to a Belkin AC1200 router) and I tried to connect the printer as I did with the old one (press the button on the front of the printer wireless, press the WPS button on the router), but the printer keeps gives me an error "connection failed" and resets everything back to the old settings. I turned off the printer and he turned his back, did not make a difference. I tried to connect via the network settings dialog box to the printer, but I get the same error. I'm doing something in the wrong order, something I can try? I need to get to the top and printing as soon as POSSIBLE. Thank you.

Well, I don't know where you got the idea that the printer and the router must have the same IP, because they shouldn't. Reset the printer to the factory/network settings. Remove all software on the computer. Now completely reinstall the printer from scratch.

    Hello @JljoThomas!

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I understand that you have a problem of activation of the functionality of web services on your MFP HP LaserJet Pro M277n. I'd love to help you with this.

First of all, you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is a surge protector or power bar? Even if you have used a surge protector/power bar this whole time and you feel that this is not the case, please connect to a wall outlet so that we can eliminate the source of energy as the primary cause. Issues when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power
In this document you will see, QUESTION: questions or problems may arise when a HP LaserJet printer is connected to a UPS (UPS), a power strip or a surge protector
↑ This is not limited to the Laserjet printers.

If this does not resolve the issue, we are going to let the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router...), then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

If you are still unable to connect to web services after trying these steps, we can try to set a manual DNS server of your printer to connect to.

On the front panel of the printer, press the wireless icon. Select it wireless TO get the wireless summary. Do not your IP address.

    1. on your computer, open a Web browser and enter the IP address of the printer in the address bar. This will bring up the embedded Web server (EWS) page.

    2. at the top of the page, select Networking.

    3. in the left side, select Identification network.

    4. in article for DNS, under primary (IPv4) enter 8.8.8.8, under secondary (IPv4) enter 8.8.4.4.

    5. Select Apply at the bottom of the screen.

    6. try to activate the web services again.

If it is still unable to connect, try to enter 209.244.0.3 for the primary (IPv4) and 209.244.0.4 for secondary (IPv4)

    Hope this helps!

  • Once a day, I lose all network connectivity on my Windows XP SP3 laptop. When I try to ping something I get this error: "PING failed, error 1450' code"

Hello, those in about 3 days, I lose network connectivity on my laptop with Windows XP SP3. When I ping no matter what page of the console I get the following error message: show PING failed, error code 1450. I tried to use the option of repair in my area, but it did not help. Computer restart resolves the problem, but I'd like to avoid doing. What should I do to solve the problem?

original title: loss of network connectivity

Since this happen in two different ISP, try to reset your modem or router and also contact your ISP support. Some ISPS will set a rule and limitation of their user, but in your case, discuss it with your ISP, or contact technical support for your PC manufacturer.

  • LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP m276nw no network connection with Linksys HUB

    Hello

I install my Color LaserJet Pro 200 m276nw MFP to connect to my home network using a wired connection.

When directly connected to my router, the connection initializes and successfully receives an ip address. I was able to access all the functions connected to my router directly either wired or wireless network.

I also have an old Linksys hub and when the printer is connected to the hub, it does not initialize the network connection. The hub works with all the other sevice in my network, including a few game consoles and a Mac Mini.

Is there a network advance setting that I have to look?

    Thank you

    Hello

I don't know if an IP address conflict is my problem as it is not a problem with another device on the network. But it is certainly a kind of incompatibility.

I found a work around. I have an old LInksys WRT54GS router, I was about to sell and read that I could turn in a switch with a custom firmware, DD - WRT. After you have installed the custom firmware and following some instructions to configure in a switch (including setting a fixed IP address as you suggested), the router-turned-switch worked like a charm.

So, it is definitely an incompatibilities with the Linksys Hub EFAH05W. Maybe this printer don't like hubs. I read the hubs do not succeed as a router or a switch network traffic only.

  • Problem with the network connection Wireless since installation of win 7.

I ve just installed Windows 7 last week and no problems until yesterday when all of a sudden my laptop can´t to connect to my wireless network... Strange because my Iphone can't, so it seems like there is no problem with the network.
And the funny part is that when it detects one network different, other than mine, it connects and works very well!

I ve tried unplugging the laptop and Wi - Fi connection, but it just says that it can´t to connect to the network... He finds it, but when I click on connect it says only: No..

    What to do?

To solve your problem, try to turn on network discovery. To do this follow the steps below:

    1. Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and sharing Center, and then, in the navigation pane, click on change settings for sharing advanced.

    2. click on the chevron to expand the current network profile.

    3. click turn on network discovery and then click on save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

To learn more about this feature, please visit the below mentioned link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-network-discovery

If the problem persists then I suggest you to reset the network adapter settings. Then follow the steps below

To reset the stack TCP/IP go to this article and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357

To remove the IPv6, go to the properties for each network adapter, and deselect the check box next to the Protocol "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6), which will turn off, or select it and click on uninstall, which withdraw power off the computer.» Then go into Device Manager and remove any 4to6 adapters, adapters miniport WUN or tunnel adapters.

NOTE: You should do this for each network connection.

Disable the DHCP broadcast flag: link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756

(How to back up and restore the registry in Windows)

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers

To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}

    3. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.

    4. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.

    5. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.

6 right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.

    7. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.

    8. close the registry editor.

By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

Thank you, and in what concerns:
