LaserJet 1102W: HP1102w network connection

I bought a Laserjet 1102W to connect to a wireless network in a home to the Portugal.  This network is provided by a router Huawei 4 G and the printer will not connect to this topic - is there a solution?

Hi GraemeM1,

Try this to connect using WPS

1. press the button of the router WPS (if you do not have this button, you need to access the router configuration: lots of info online)
2. press the button on the printer and a blue light wireless flashes repeatedly
3. When you get a solid blue light your printer is connected to the network

Hope this helps.

    Hello

Your printer does not support with/without wire and your router cannot act as a wireless via USB port print server:

    http://www.downloads.NETGEAR.com/files/WNDR3700v3_SM_20MAY2011.PDF

You can purchase a wireless print server, BUT believe me, it would cost more than buying a new printer with wireless ready now and 50 percent chance he'll give you a lot of problems. You can also buy a new router that has the option of wireless print server. I don't know to connect two printers.

    Kind regards.

  • A LaserJet 1320 printer network connection

The HP LaserJet 1320 printer lacks an Ethernet, only the 1320n, NT and nw models have that.  My question on this is can I connect the 1320 to my Ethernet system using Ethernet to USB converter unit? The 1320 has a USB input/output.connector.  If not, is it because the current software does not support the Ethernet connection, and if this is the case the software update?  In this application, I want to be able to use the printer HP 1320 of my laptop HP Pavilion DV7-1267 also connected to the Ethernet system.

It is possible to install the HP LaserJet 1320 to an Ethernet network via a Jet Direct external print server.  Support direct Jet models can be found at the following URL:

  • LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP m276nw no network connection with Linksys HUB

    Hello

I install my Color LaserJet Pro 200 m276nw MFP to connect to my home network using a wired connection.

When directly connected to my router, the connection initializes and successfully receives an ip address. I was able to access all the functions connected to my router directly either wired or wireless network.

I also have an old Linksys hub and when the printer is connected to the hub, it does not initialize the network connection. The hub works with all the other sevice in my network, including a few game consoles and a Mac Mini.

Is there a network advance setting that I have to look?

    Thank you

    Hello

I don't know if an IP address conflict is my problem as it is not a problem with another device on the network. But it is certainly a kind of incompatibility.

I found a work around. I have an old LInksys WRT54GS router, I was about to sell and read that I could turn in a switch with a custom firmware, DD - WRT. After you have installed the custom firmware and following some instructions to configure in a switch (including setting a fixed IP address as you suggested), the router-turned-switch worked like a charm.

So, it is definitely an incompatibilities with the Linksys Hub EFAH05W. Maybe this printer don't like hubs. I read the hubs do not succeed as a router or a switch network traffic only.

  • HP LaserJet M1522nf begins to lose the network connection

Hello! I have HP LaserJet M1522nf and I use it for about 1 year maybe, but since last week, he begins to lose the network connection (ping failed, web interface does not work too). To be correct, the printer is connected directly to the network through an ethernet cable, and the cable is perfectly fine. His work when you turn it on and for the next 5 to 15 minutes, but after that it lost connection (tasks start fails).

I really like using little aid, some perhaps of advice. Any suggestions?

Hard reset the router to factory settings and reconfigure your settings.  Pass the cable to a different port on the router.  You said that the cable was good... change anyway.  Try now.

  • LaserJet P1102W: [RESOLVED] LaserJet P1102W does not connect to a wireless network on Mac

UPDATE: the below solution worked on my MacBook, both running El Capitan. Ignore the instructions provided in the manual of the P1102W and follow the steps below.

    I have a P1102W printer.

Recently my LaserJet P1102W refuses to connect to networks using WPA Wireless.

As it does not have an IP address, I can't access the web server.

She also does not connect to my Mac Wireless via Bonjour. The printer will install when connected via USB.

I installed printer HP Apple drivers, that contains the P1100 driver.

The P1102W worked before wireless. I only noticed this anomaly since installation El Capitan and moving the printer to another room with my workstation.

I need the printer to use the wireless network, as I did not have enough space on my desk for him. And I just can't place it anywhere within the range of a USB cable.

    Are there alternatives to this?

    Hi @rcosgrove,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you encounter some problems connecting your Laserjet P1102w printer to your network wireless using your Mac computer. I can help you with that.

First of all, I would like to mention that it would be easier to the printer connected to your network using a Windows PC. If you can't borrow or use a Windows PC, the following steps should allow you to connect the printer. If you can borrow a PC, please let me know what version of Windows and I can provide a link to the drivers to configure the printer automatically.

    Preparation of the printer

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. While the printer is turned off, hold down the two buttons on top of the printer.
    3. Hold the buttons on top of the printer and the printer.
    4. Hold down the maintained for even 10 seconds.

    Wireless printer setting

    1. Make sure that the printer is connected to your Mac via the USB cable.
    2. Click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    3. Click the icon of your printer on the left.
    4. Click Open print queue, printer installation, utility of printer, open printer and HTML Config utility.
    5. (If the above step generates an error, change your default browser on Safari. Please let me know if you need assistance with that).
    6. In this new window, click on the networking and wireless tab on the left.
    7. Under Mode of Communication, select Infrastructure.
    8. Select your network from the list and then click on the button with the arrows.
    9. Under Security Mode, select WPA/WPA 2. If you have an old router, you may need to select WEP instead.
    10. Enter your password wireless in the field below.
    11. Click on apply.

Now, wait a few minutes. Your printer must change to have a solid blue light. If it is not the case, either the password has been entered incorrectly or there is a setting on the router that the printer is having a resolution of the issue. Please let me know if this is the case.

Once you have a solid blue light:

    1. Unplug the USB cable.
    2. Return to the printers and Scanners.
    3. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of the printer on the left.
    4. Click on reset printing system.
    5. Click on the button "+" in the lower left corner.
    6. In this window, select your printer in the list.
    7. Click in the box next to and select your printer from the list.
    8. Click on Add.

Please let me know if you are able of print or the results after following the above. If you can print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

I hope this information is useful. Please reply to this message with the results. Good luck!

    Hello

When you install CM1312 printer on win 10 64 bit it fails on the last step: connect to a network printer.

  • HP Laserjet 1102w: my HP LaserJet 1102w not print large documents via wifi

Hello, I have two HP LaserJet 1102w news. I installed and configured via the wi fi and it the test page prints correctly.

The problem is when I try to print large documents (with more than 400 KB). In this case the printer says "print...". "and in the printer, the green light flashes but not print the document. If I print small documents, it works OK.

If I do a ping to the printer with packages of more than 8 000 bytes, I get 'timeout for this request. If I do a ping with packets of 8 000 bytes, I get the answer in 5-6 ms.

Both printers has the same problem. I have different devices connected to the local network, and it all works well. I have another printer that works well with large documents... so the problem is not the configuration LAN or WiFi.

What can I do? Thank you!

    Well, I solved the problem.

I'm going to 'devices and printers-> right click on the printer-> properties-> Advanced tab printer' and check 'installed the driver. In my case, there is no "HP LaserJet 1102w", who is the best driver. So I remove the device and has installed, and I get the right driver "HP LaserJet 1102w.

    Now the printer works OK.

  • LaserJet pro p 1102w: laserjet 1102w pro p

You just bought a new laserjet 1102w pro p. It installed very well and prints, but it allows you to select a startup infallibly and executes the rolls of food every 15 seconds. I guess that the engine burn eventually if it maintains this doing.

I rebooted it, unplugged the usb and removed and reinstalled the toner, but happening again all day.

    Is this s factory default?

    Hello @ cozjason,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that your new laserjet 1102w P continues to go the beginning upward.

I want to help you with this.

LaserJet printers can be 'finiky' when they do not receive adequate food.

Your printer is connected directly to a wall outlet?

If it is connected to a surge protector or power bar, I would remove them from the printer.

If the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, then I would try the reset that I sent you.

Click on the little envelope in the upper right of your screen to retrieve the message.

If that does not clear the issue would call technical support. They will be able to determine if there is a problem with the printer and replace the device under warranty.

  • LaserJet 1102W Pro - can't get the blue light at all

I do the initial installation of a Pro LaserJet 1102W.  I created another without difficulty.  After a reset to the default values and an update of the firmware, I can not even a flashing blue light indicating the necessary wireless configuration.  Tried with and without USB cable.  I get the status lights will blink for 10 seconds and then back to solid green light.  I tell myself that I need the blue light blinks then I can connect via Wi - Fi to set up.

I believe on this model if you press the wireless to the printer and the (protected web configuration) WPS button our router that they should connect automatically. Then, you can use the installation package and the type of connection appropreiate for the printer on the computer.

Is there anything else that could help you?

I connected them with my HP LaserJet 4345 MFP network printer and after some time, it disconnects.

  • Problems with nine LaserJet 1102w

I've had my LaserJet 1102w for two days now, and I'm so far regretting buying and considering it return.  Here's why:

    1. it turns off automatically after 10 minutes and do not print after that until someone manually pushed the power button.

    2. when it is turned on, it will display only the first inch of a given page (Config test included integrated page), then it is the orange light flashes.  If you stop and then turn it on again, try again, and then turn market a SECOND time, it will print normally.

    3. it consisitantly fails to print "big" files (I quote because he isn't that great... i.e. a 32 MB PDF)-they gets stuck and require a complete restart of the printer.

Is the only issue that I don't see to have fall wireless... which is good because we have not ALL wired devices in our House (which is why I bought this printer... most of the devices are iOS, but I'm working on Win7 laptop at the moment).

I would love some advice or help get this printer to work.

    Thank you!

    * EDIT: I did so, it is updated the firmware lasted and I use the driver to date, both gets on the HP site.

This looks like a problem with the mode 'sleep' on the printer.  There are a few things you can do to try and fix this problem.  First of all, make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet.  If you plug it into a surge arrester, power strip, or rescued food, it can prevent the printer to get enough power.  If this is correct, then proceed to try the steps in the document following the link.  If nothing works, contact HP to see on a replacement printer, or return the printer to where you bought it, be it, you need to replace the printer.

The printer will not turn on or respond
