• Missing option automatic duplex in Windows 7 for LaserJet P2015dn

  I moved my Laserjet P2015dn since a Windows XP on a Windows 7 computer.  Now I can not find the ability to use automatic duplexing.  The only thing I can find is an option to manually duplex.

  1. click on the Start button.

  2. click on devices/Printers.

  3. once the windows screen jumped up... scroll to your printers/faxes section.

  4. right-click on the icon of the printer P2015.

  5. in the drop-down menu, select "printer properties".

  6. Once opened the printer properties dialog box, click the device settings tab.

  7 scroll to the line of the duplex unit and make sure that it is set to installed. If this is not the case, use the dropdown tab menu and change to install.  (see below the photo.).

  

• My HP LaserJet P2015dn doesn't seem to work.

  My HP LaserJet P2015dn has the top of page 3 LED lights up yellow. I'm trying to push the button, but it seems that it can be broken. Is it broken or is there another way to turn on. It has not been used for a while, so it would need repairs.

  Here are the steps for a cold reset.  A hard reset is just to disconnect while it is lit for 10 seconds then reconnect.  If it is a mechanical problem, you can try to remove all components, you can while it is turned off, turn it back on, shake the toner carefully, and put it back in (essentially the only thing that I guess that you would) and see if she responds then.

  The steps in this link are not recommended if I could make it last (worst case scenerio).  NVRam resets difficulty only questions not all.

  I have an iMac with a HP Laserjet P2015dn duplex printer.  To the best of my knowledge, all software is up-to-date.

  I am not always able to print on both sides of the paper, in fact most of the time, 90%, the option to print double-sided is not available, whether word, excel, pdf, or a web page.

  I was not able to detect a 'model' for what is when it will print.

  FWIW, I never had this problem when the printer was hooked to my old Dell Windows XP machine. (Two years ago).

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Print PDF and Word dialog boxes are a little different from other applications

  In Word or Excel, click the scroll to Copies & Pages of the print dialog box

  Select layout and you will see the duplex option available

  Like Apple Preview contain the duplex option in the main print dialog box screen, I assume you are using Adobe Reader:

  Click printer at the bottom of the print dialog box,

  Then click on the arrow to the right to the name of the printer to spend the print settings.

  You will then see the two-sided box.

• Duplex HP laserjet p2015dn not print duplex with provision "such what ' in victory 8.1

  after upgrade to Win 8.1 Pro, I lost the ability to on my p2015dn duplex printing - at least I lost WITHOUT flipping the pages duplex printing option.

  I downloaded the dated 9/13 HP Universal pcl6 driver. The file now in my download folder is an exe file.

  • I clicked on the exe file, which is called upd-pcl6 - x 64 - 5.7.0.16448.exe

  That I should have done? What happened when I clicked on this file? (No directions provided with the download or have been posted on the drivers page.)

  • Now, when I go to the Advanced tab of the printer properties, it says, next to the driver: HP LaserJet P2015 PCL6 driver class.

  This is different from the way the pilot looks on my laptop win 7, who said HP LaserJetP2015 PCL6.

  • It is said in printer properties, on the general tab: two-sided Yes. and under device settings it says also unit duplex (for printing on 2 sides): Installed.
  • BUT if I click on Preferences on the general tab, there are only 2 tabs not 5 like in Win 7.
  • Anywya under print on both sides: it says a None or flip short side or long flip side. Tis here no options to select print both sides without flipping.
  • Same menu choices on impression of defauls of the Advanced Options tab

  The result in Microsoft Word , it is that I can no longer select print both sides unless I want to return or print manually. Even in Adobe Reader or Pro.

  How can I fix?

  Oh, man! Now I get it. Back on the long edge is the same that keep the layout "such what."

Programmers (I used a) and tech writers waste popping popcorn, drinking coffee and put on day of NCAA brackets in a day it would take to change all the various translations of a pdf most time.

  It is not surprising that HP stock has declined 80% in the last 4 years if the employee point of view prevailing.

  I just got my new iMac and I want to configure my HP printer. There seems to be a problem with the driver, which ships with Mac OS X Yosemite. I want to be able to define specific parameters such as the thickness of the paper, quality or turn on the two-sided funcrtion.

  With the driver I had with Mac OS 10.6 everything has worked.

  Hello, I couldn't install my printer on Windows 64-bit 10. My printer appears as a "unwnown" device and the device manager says that "a request for the USB device descriptor has failed." My printer is connected to the PC via the USB port. I tried to install official drivers from HP web page, but my pritner was not on the list when the installation wizard asked me to choose my printing device. I also tried unplugging all my usb devices and restart my pc, without success. Thank you for your replies,

  I tried what you told me, without success. I did, however, find the problem. It has nothing to do with drivers. My printer cable is not long enough to be connected to my PC, so I have to use an extension. When I tried the printer on my laptop directly (without extension cable), windows downloaded drivers on itself end set the printer up and running. This means that the problem was in my cable. This should be a lesson for everyone with the same problem: "chceck your * beep * cables.

• The network P2015dn printer error messages

  We print from Excel to a Laserjet P2015dn printer networked.  If printing fails, no error message is returned to Excel (or Word).  The built-in web server reports correctly printer problems.  Using Windows XP.  Can anyone help?

  As another suggestion, lets try to use the universal print driver for LaserJet:

  I recently changed computers from Windows XP to Windows 7.  The installation for the p2015dn disc was only for Windows Vista and download the drivers. I could could not find drivers for PCL6 P2015 and only manual duplex options.  I REALLY need the duplex ASAP.  Is there a specific download for the HP LaserJet P2015dn, which will set the automatic duplex option.

• LaserJet P2015 shows jam, but no paper is jammed

  LaserJet P2015dn stuck, but what jam has been cleared and restart the printer times the jam and the low Toner lights come on initially.  But while they go out and the green "OK" led lights. When I then try again to print, the printer then blocks after moves in the paper about 6 ". However, when you start printing, the printer makes a noise of rotation of unusual and "cans" type for 1 to 3 seconds. Then theJam lights.

  This process is repeated: I remove the stuffing and power is recurring.

  Thanks for your help, but I gave up and bought a new HP LaserJet Pro 401dw and am just happy with it. Easy to use, faster, more intelligent 2-sided - what is not to like!
