AS OEM Dell is responsible for the good operation of the equipment both
and Windows. Check their documentation online with Dell Support, and
drivers and ask questions in the forums about known problems. Make sure that you are
Run the latest version of the BIOS, chipset and drivers.
I hope this helps.

John D.johnsdaggAS OEM Dell is responsible for the good operation of the equipment both
and Windows.Hi, John. It's quite nervous of a member of the MS forum say that Dell is responsible to operate Windows. It wasn't Dell but MS who claims that Win10 has most of the necessary drivers and if not then the drivers Win7 and Win8.1 would work.
johnsdaggI was hoping that maybe Dell could find in the goodness of their hearts to a updated driver IDT 92HDxxx... pretty please?I doubt that it is possible for two reasons. Dell went from IDT Realtek as the audio seller so probably not more a a contract with IDT, if IDT even exist anymore. A year ago IDT was acquired by another company. I do not know its current status, but it is sure that the acquiring company will not be upgrading old software IDT. Reference Dell itself does not write the audio drivers. Even when IDT was the seller I believe that Win7 drivers are the final versions - no version 8 or 8.1 I think.
johnsdaggIf I use the built-in driver to Win 10 ("high definition Audio Device") I hear speakers/headphones and switching between the speakers and the works of helmet very well but my laptop computer microphone does not work ("not connected").The native Windows audio driver can't stand struggling external mic. It is a MS 'known problem '. MS must implement a decision-making support, but there is no indication that it will be. Meanwhile, you have two workaround solutions. You can switch backwards between the natives and the IDT drivers. At some point Win10 could leave the IDT driver works correctly. Or get an outlet cheap usb audio to the microphone. Struggling running out-audio driver usb Windows native usb and so dependent no driver IDT.

Hello
Audio only works with headphones not speakers for computer
This appears to have happened after an update in the last days
Any help much appreciated!
If you have the IDT audio driver installed for your model, you can test by switching between him and the driver audio Windows native.
1. open Device Manager (found in the Control Panel, or type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "IDT High Definition Audio Codec".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
8. click on "next".
9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the IDT pilot, do it again but reverse steps 2-7 names].If the speakers don't work not with one driver, then it is not a driver issue, but could be material failing.
If the speakers work with one of the drivers, then the other driver is at fault.
If you need assistance please tell what operating system is on the laptop.

Headset audio problem Latitude E5530
Hello
I have a Latitude E5530, with Windows 7 64 bit.
This laptop has been formatted in a couple of days and underwent a re-installation from scratch.
I installed all the drivers that you can find on the Web site. The audio works well with the speakers, but you hear no sound if you plugin the helmet. I don't know if it worked before the format; I know that running a different operating system (Xubuntu 13.04 64.bit) everything works like a charm, no audio problem.Clues about what is happening here?
Thank you!
Browar00Is there an option on E5530 to change the audio output of the speakers/headphones to line-in?There is no line-in socket on the E5530. It has a simple audio plug, known as a helmet or jack combo. It combines the output of headphone and mono microphone input into a socket. It cannot be used for stereo plug-in software component line
Even if you could change the audio output to the mic input jack (which is not possible that re-wiring of the plug), they are both the same plug. The only change that would achieve, is that the output would be mono instead of stereo.

Help! Latitude D830, NONE of the drivers sound card works!
I am ready to never touch a Dell again... It is the last resort. Outside driver imprecise downloads and a way to show the pilots should be together, if the forums do not solve my problem, GG Dell.
OK needed that little bit of frustration on the situation at hand.
Laptop: Latitude D830
OS: Windows XP Pro SP3
Problem:? Other devices?
Data interface
Data interface
Ethernet controller
PCI device
These are the things that apparently have no drivers available for download from the dell website? My biggest problem is solid... I'm going to assume that "PCI Device" is the sound card, but I assumed prior it was integrated as a result would not be PCI. I tried all the drivers its unique card which = Latitude D830 / 32-bit of Windows XP. Whenever I try to install the driver, it fails and indicates that the system is wrong etc.
I changed the BIOS, etc. It is a problem very very very very very very very very very frustrating because there seems to be no one else with this problem, and if there is someone so I was not able to find a thread about it. Please help me before go me crazy.
knoble74I was wondering do you know sound card drivers who recognize the sound card for the d830 with win 7The D830 has Sigmatel audio hardware. The company went bankrupt before Win 7 but you can install the Sigmatel Vista version R171788 in compatibility mode.
Download the driver package and extract the files (unzip or decompress and take note of the name of the folder created) but cancel the installation process. Go to the folder on the hard disk to which you have unpacked the driver files
c:\Dell\Drivers\RxxxxxxFind the setup.exe file and right-click on it. Select Properties. Find the Compatibility tab and select Vista.

Zero wireless breaks down after standby using project Wireless N on Latitude D830 with Windows XP
My Latitude D830 came with Vista installed.
After various irritations with Vista, I downgraded to XP.
I allowed XP through all updates, get on SP2 with all the latest patches.
I downloaded all the latest drivers XP on the dell site, especially the one for the wireless.
I only use Microsoft Zero service wireless and does not run the Dell Wireless utility.
because she added complexity without helping what it is.
The works of wireless perfectly after I boot the system.
If I close the lid, which puts the computer in mode standby
as soon as I get my password, I get a window in the middle of the screen that says:
"Generic Host Process for win32 services has encountered a problem and needs to close."
If I look at the events, I don't see that wzcsvc.dll broke down.
Sometimes I can see the wireless in the status bar, with an x through it.
Usually, this icon disappears and the camera seems to not exist on the computer.
No amount of stopping and restarting from zero wireless facilitates the task.
I can go to Device Manager and disable, then enable the card. Which does nothing.
If I reboot, then all is well again.
I'd like to be able to use the wireless normally without rebooting all the time.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thank you
Peter

Ever since I started to update to 34.0.5 I have known many audio problems.
Since Firefox updated to 34.0.5, I have known many video and audio problems. At first, I couldn't play the videos at all, but install Shockwave Flash, which sets. All my videos play in silence. I've updated my plugins (Quicktime and VLC were the only ones to ask for an update) should not have solved the problem because I do not believe that I was actually using these plugins at the time, but nevertheless, it seems to have worked. Now I can play videos with sound, but the quality of this noise is severely reduced and even sometimes staticky. What gives?
These are the same products - 'adobe flash player' is the consumer in the face of term "shockwave flash" the technical name...

Pavilion 500 215 el: audio problem Windows 10 anniversary update
I have an audio problem, then before moving to Windows 10 or the update of the anniversary of the audio working properly after the update I noticed immediately that the sound is distorted or "crunches".
I haven't identified the problem because it's random, very often and it's very annoying, my sound system is its IDT DTS + I tried to reinstall the drivers with the latest version but some of the problem persists...
Only, I noticed that the problem is more 'feel' when the bass setting is higher or when I change the audio setting to my taste.
I ask you to help also became very boring because without my custom settings is really horrible!
Thank you.
Sorry for the English, but this isn't my mother tongue, I used google translator.Hi there @Alexcpp,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that, after the update of Windows 10 anniversary, you had some sound problems. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.
Check the support page for your model of HP Pavilion 500-215el desktop PC, there don't seem to be updated drivers, and you have already tried to reinstall existing ones.
You can always try to use the HP Support Assistant, HP PCs - using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7) to see if there is a driver available that is not displayed on the support page. It is unlikely, but there is always a chance that the page has not yet updated.
Another possibility is to make some adjustments on your system, just in case there is another driver or software that interferes with the audio, which could cause problems of lag. You can try the search, even if these: computers HP - computer is slow (10 Windows), HP - slow Internet troubleshooting (10, 8 Windows) computers. They are never a waste of time because often there is something that could help the overall performance of the system.
Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

Audio problem when using an HDMI cable
I have a 2000 HP and from time to time when I connect my comp. to cable HDMI the sound only works on the computer
not the TV and then I have problems with the sound when you play videos on the computer alone or with headphones. I have also
getting a Web page saying that something is null and then says error message line 1530 and I have to restart for
Let the error message. I checked all of the updates for audio.
Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I have read your thread on your laptop HP 2000 and don't read does not correctly when it is attached to the TV. Only, you should be able to have the HDMI cable from the computer to your TV and try to touch the key FN and F4 for transferring the image of the computer to the TV while the HDMI cable is connected. Here's a document on solving audio problems with external speakers, headphone and HDMI audio devices.
I hope this helps.
Thank you

Hi, I have audio problems! I downloaded Skype on my windows laptop 10, and I have audio problems with only my Skype. I checked the audio setting on my laptop and they are very well, I tried to save regularly, and it was perfectly good. I checked the audio on my Skype, they seem to be well, but does not record the microphone. When I talk about the green line of volume is not hear me, and move. However I tried to snap my fingers just above the mic, and if I did it really hard two or three times the volume of the green line would move just really slowly, however when I spoke into the microphone it is not. I deleted and downloaded again, but has not fixed the problem and I don't know what to do. None of the parameters have changed, but when I checked my setting of the laptop, Skype was not one of the apps listed as the microphone (and I don't know how to change.) In fact, when I checked all my settings of the computer, Skype did not appear for the use of microphone, speakers or camera (but I get only problems with the audio.) Please get back to me as soon as possible to help with suggestions! I use Skype to talk to family and work, but also to stay in touch with teachers and take classes.

Incompatible Audio volume T420 - Audio problem.
Hi all
recently I've been an audio problem with my T420. It doesn't matter if I use the built-in speakers or an external playback via the audio device, audio volume goes up and down several times for a minute.
It's rather annoying and irritating. I use the standard driver provided by Lenovo and with stock settings.
If someone had this problem and could give me some advice?
Thank you very much!
The framework was already to the people with reduced mobility.
I thought, maybe that's the problem, I've been experience, because it is only when I used Ethernet instead of WiFi: DPC latency + audio / mouse skip and stutter on t420--Lenovo's community
I tried the proposed parameters, without success.
Interestingly, re - install the same drivers that have been installed previously seems to have solved the problem.
Maybe some settings or installation screwed up.

HP Probook 430 G2: Audio problem
I got my new laptop (HP Probook 430 G2) barely 4 days ago and I already had a problem with it.
I find this question every time, when I try to listen to music etc., headphones or 5.1 speakers (both using 3.5 mm jack).
When I use Google Chrome or Windows MediaPlayer etc. If I stop to listen for 5 minutes (stop the video), then the audio "dumb"(barre de son dit qu'il n'y a son sort) but nothng can be heard. "." I solved this problem simply by setting the volume level 0 and back where it was in the first place.
This problem came a bit annoying on a long term, so I hope someone can help me with this problem
Thanks already

Anyone have any patches or have the same problem as me?
Hi Papermonst3r,
Welcome to Lenovo Community!
According to the request, we understand that you have a problem with speakers in your Y500.
As the audio cable is present near the hinges and the cable is loose so please bring to the service center to reconnect the cable that might solve the problem.
I hope this helps! Publish us back for other queries.
Best regards
