  It is possible that the installation is successful, but you are unable to locate the function Palette API, OR there could be something wrong with the actual installation.

  Well good to check if the Connectivity API Multisim are present:

  -> To open a new black VI LabVIEW > navigate to the diagram and open the Palette of functions.

  -> now press "space + Ctrl".

  -> search for say "Multisim Connect.vi.

  If the result of the research shows this VI so you can see exactly where its located on the hard disk (from dialog box properties of the VI) and location can also likely in the range of functions can be determined.

  There is another possibility that any 'connectivity' palette is set as invisible. Even in this case, you should be able to search APIs Multisim help above the method.

  I'm trying to get the SPICE model for the BFP720F transistor provided by Infineon to work in Multisim.

  I have attached the template as provided by the manufacturer.

  If I import it as-is, I get error messages "invalid node identifier '<4>'" (I have translated that German, it might not be exactly this message in the English version).

  So I tried to replace all the "<4>" with "4", which seems to help, but now the error is "adjusted temperature setting"VJC (PC)"negative" and "incorrect use of the parameters of the model. Now I don't really know what to do with it.

  Is the template provided in the wrong format? I somehow can it in the right so I am able to use it?

  Because I need for my project semester in College, any help would be much appreciated.

  When writing a detailed description of what I did exactly with the Wizard component, the component again to create in Multisim from scratch, I found that there are different SPICE models provided in the package for use with AWR MWO. They have a different file extension, but are normal text SPICE inside files.

  It turns out that they actually work with Multisim. The difference is small, there is only one temperature (TNOM) setting that is absent in these models, distinct from the "general" I first tried to use. It seems that Multisim had a problem with this setting, leading to the error I encountered.

  Anyway, the problem is solved now. Thanks for your help

  Edit: I have attached the SPICE model, that I ended up using, in case someone at - he never met a similar problem. The only change I did this, is to replace '<4>' with '4' in the part of the diode (single occurrence here). I had to zip to download with his original extention (.mdl).

• Multisim for transfer Ultiboard Glitch

  We have made many PCBS using Multisim as our software for schematic capture and Ultiboard for layout. The last room back does not work because the netlist in the schema is incompatible with the netlist in the provision of one piece (which is used several times on the map). Not only all the pins are reversed, but one of the pins is quite non-connected. Since the 8 pins are connected to the schematic side, this clearly isn't simply a matter of mixed up of PIN, but when I annotate with impatience, it is said that found no difference.

  I went through and double and triple checked the symbol, the footprint and mapping of the PIN, and everything is OK. As a witness, I created a new schema with nothing else that the part in question and transferred to Ultiboard, and everything was OK.

  Everyone knows about this problem before? This is a known bug and is there any workaround or recommended solution to avoid something like this happening in the future (outside routing by hand and without taking into account the ratsnest altogether).

  Please contact our support group.   You should not see this question in v11.0.   I'm not aware of the important issues with annotation front/rear, since we redesigned the annotation capability and improved reliability in v11.0 (from 10.1).

• using LM1181 using multisim

  I use LM1181 to scan my data. I build the tour that seems very well according to the data sheet of the Active Directory Connector, but I get the result as 000. and the PIN BACK a 0V instead of 1.5V. is there a problem with my circuit? I have attached my tour here. Help, please.

  In Multisim, there are two virtual ADCs, you could try: ADC and ADC16. They can be found in the Mixed Group, ADC_DAC family. They are not the real components, but they can be used in the simulation.

• Assistant circuit for 14.0 Multisim Base edition?

  It is a very simple question, but I couldn't find the answer. I use Multisim base edition 14.0. It excludes the Circuit Assistant? I'm following the manual of NI Multisim basic exercises. Isn't normal that all covered (not optional) features in these training manuals are included in all versions of the software? I'm confused.

  I did some research and I found some information, and it seems that the basic version of multisim doesn't have the feature of the Circuit (555 timer Assistant, Assistant of the Op-Amp, filter Assistant)

• Drivers Xilinx/Multisim and Labview FPGA

  Where can I find drivers for my FPGA OR if I use Multisim/Xilinx and NOT of Labview?  All the links I found are Labview be installed.  However, the explicit manual FPGA indicates that you can use Multisim/XIlinx ISE in place.

  OK, I tested just outside. The Driver of LabVIEW 2013 DEFB contains 2 separate components, the driver and Module FPGA support. If you run this installer, it won't check if you have LabVIEW FPGA installed unless you check the box for LabVIEW FPGA support.

  I can change the text in the Installation Instructions to read "LabVIEW FPGA 2013 is required to install the LabVIEW FPGA Module Support component installation".

  I need an equivalent IC for CD74HC75, which is a double 2-bit transparent latch IC for a simulation project. Can't find it in the reference guide of Multisim.

  Hello, in Multisim Analog Devices evaluation edition, you will find a D_Latch under the family TIL parts (use 2 with attached EN together for a double lock) you can use generic simulation purposes.   If you need a specific lock manufacturer or a specific logical family that might be difficult (we have a few in the PRO version or you can add a few external circuits to the TIL part to mimic the behavior of a particular family of logic).

  TIL (e/s digital generic) parts are found here: Misc Digital (Group)-> TIL-> D_LATCH.

  I created a simple interactive circuit with a probe, so you can observe the behavior to see if it will meet your needs of simulation.

• Multisim 11 installation issue

  I just installed Multisim 11 on a machine that had Multiim 10. When I run Multisim 11, the toolbars appear, but are not met. There is no POWER switch simulation. Under file/new /, there is no option "PLD Design. Under the square, there is no option of the LDP. I have re-installed, same result. I checked the global preferences and global Restrictions - both are ok. I am running version 11.0 (11.0.458).

• Execution of Multisim with Labview

  Hey,.

  I'm trying to convert a series of laboratories studying for a class of dynamic systems run on a newer, better set up.  Previously, the laboratory, I'm working on that took input from a sensor, fed entry through an analog circuit that feeds the output of this circuit a Labview VI.  My question is, which is possible by using a Multisim simulation instead of a physical circuit?  I found volumes about Labview screws running in Multisim, but nothing about a taking a Multisim circuit inlet VI.  If this is possible, what configuration do you suggest?

  I haven't studied your ad but clearly the xU1 call isn't in a SPICE compatible format. The definition of subcircuit PA50 has 7 knots. Your call xU1 has 12! Nodes U1_OPEN_11 and U1_OPEN_12 exist anywhere else in the document.

  How can I get a print that I created in Ultiboard appears in Multisim?  If I try to back annotate Ultiboard of Multisim, I just get an error message indicating that the component is not found in the library.

  Part II - is it possible to just create the footprint in Multisim instead?
